Description

A show packed with football information, pop culture references, and general nonsense, ”Fold in the Cheese” is the ultimate podcast for anyone who is ready to learn about fantasy football, daily fantasy, and/or sportsbook betting. This show will cover broad principles, like how to pick a league, how to prepare for and execute the perfect draft, how to manage your team throughout the season; and the hosts will analyze individual player matchups, projected game scripts, trends, and news information to help position your team for a championship!

About our hosts: Kemper Trull and Ethan Gelfand have been playing fantasy football for 20 years apiece, and they bring a love of the game and a wealth of knowledge and experience to the show. They also share a love of comedy, and most conversations tend to get derailed into TV/movie quotes and references.

We're really packing it in in this episode, as the FITC boys recap the wildest Free Agency period in recent NFL history - and THEN they data dump with some savory stats to help you win your March Madness bracket challenge this year! Who are the winners and losers in free agency? And who will be cutting down the nets in April this year? Tune in to find out.
The Super Bowl was absolutely EPIC in so many ways, but mostly because of the amazing FITC prop bet pool and the playoffs fantasy football challenge. The boys split the contests for the second year in a row, so just imagine what they could do if they combined their superpowers (Voltron? Megazord? Tayvis?). Join us in this last football-related episode before the boys hit the books studying for March Madness.
The FITC boys are READY for the BIG game this weekend! It's a sea of red in Las Vegas, where Kemp needs more per diem because he's blown it all on the Heads or Tails casino game. Our playoffs fantasy football game is coming down to the wire; can E hang on to his lead??  And we're bringing the HEAT with 15 prop bets for the SB. Let's gooo!!!
The Conference championships are DONE, and the Super Bowl is set. Turns out, the logo color conspiracy was only half correct this year, as both teams are very red. BUT... Red was one of Tay Swift's album names... the conspiracy stays alive! The FITC boys break-down the championship games and give a sneak-peek into what sort of fantasy production to expect from some of these young players in 2024. If you are boycotting football because of Taylor Swift, this is not the podcast for you.
The snow (and COVID) has finally subsided in Tennessee, and a "washed-out" KTrull is fighting for his life in our playoffs fantasy football contest. The sleuths of the interwebs have already decided that the NFL script has 49ers/Ravens in the Super Bowl, but the FITC boys are rooting for the Lions nonetheless. Also, E hasn't showered.
Kemper aint feeling great but he's a trooper, because its the playoffs and it's win or go home! We continue with our wild playoff prob bets, and see if Ethan actually has players participating this week in the NFL playoff fantasy football challenge...
Another year, another fun contest taken away! Last season, the FITC boys had to create our own playoffs prop bet pick'em contest; this year, they've recreated the playoffs fantasy contest formerly hosted on NFL.com. The boys pick some wild prop bets and discuss their playoff expectations. The postseason is HERE!

Why do we do this??

The FITC boys recap championship week (spoiler alert, they are both losers...), and Kemp goes to a dark place... Just when he was ready to quit forever, a new dynasty league has roped him back in. E and Kemp discuss players who disappointed and some hidden gems from this season.
Well, the FITC boys had vastly different semifinals experiences. E lost a heartbreaker in the long-time Shiva league, while Kemp put up the most points of the entire season in a crushing victory in the new dynasty league. As we prep for championship week, the boys look back at their last Shiva championship rosters. Spoiler alert: there were a lot of Falcons, Panthers, and Steelers! Crazy how quickly the league changes...
If you are still alive in the playoffs, it might be in spite of some poor star player performances... But what do you do? Bench Derrick Henry and Austin Ekeler? Maybe so! In this jam-packed episode, The FITC boys discuss Christmas traditions and movies, update our surviving fantasy teams, recap the Crappy QB DO IT bet board, and give you some alternative names to consider starting in place of your "studs."
Who are these QBs???

Who are these QBs???

It's week 15 in the NFL, and the injuries keep mounting, particularly at the QB position. The FITC boys play a little trivia game on this latest batch of subpar QBs, and a crappy DO IT bet has been established for the week! We also pick every game and try to keep E unvictorious in Pigskin Pick'em.
KTrull and E pay "tribute" to 90's bands before revealing our intense hatred for the sport of fantasy football... But also, the playoffs are around the corner! We discuss playoff strategies and reveal the players who will win you a championship (maybe).
The FITC boys spend way too much time talking basketball (stay in your lane, dudes...) and the mystery of Cooper Kupp. Kemp's playoff push continues but just hit a major snag with the Jonathan Taylor injury. Will he have enough juice to get past arch-rival Ethan (Oh My Goff) this week?
KTrull and E discuss our Thanksgiving traditions (cue the pigs in a blanket). We also revisit some of our "preposterous" overreactions from week 1 in the NFL and find that a few of them weren't so preposterous after all. We tell you what to expect from Tee Higgins rest of season, what happened to Kenneth Gainwell, and who is the second coming of Amon-Ra St. Brown. Happy Thanksgiving all!
The Midseason Redraft

The Midseason Redraft

2023-11-1625:53

The FITC fellas (+ our villain, Kyle) run through and redraft rosters based on performance-to-date and expectations for the remainder of the year.  Many names remain at the top of the draft, but there are a few surprise risers and fallers.  Kemper defends Jonathan Taylor and Josh Jacobs truthers everywhere and professes his love for CJ Stroud. A CPU takes Nick Chubb in the second round (At least AI isn't taking over fantasy football anytime soon...)
That's right!  We reach in to our old bag of tricks this week to bring you some oldie and goodie segments.  Hunter Renfrow actually reached out personally to make sure we do some Blind Resumes as he was our darling just two seasons ago!  Then we head back On Campus to relive those college glory days for these players, and finally Kemper gets tossed an interesting trivia questions.  Man we just hit them all!   Don't forget, this amazing banter isn't just only for the podcast. We are The Pool Boys, so be sure to check out our website www.thepoolboys.net to see how we can help your company's employee engagement needs!
There are 32 teams in the NFL.  As we went through them, we were surprised to see how many quarterbacks were actually good.  The number surprises you.  With this being said, there are a lot of teams with quarterback questions, whether it be due to injury, or overall suckiness.  Kemper and Ethan attempt to answer or analyze those questions while checking the fantasy implications as well!  Buy, sell?!?   Don't forget, this amazing banter isn't just only for the podcast. We are The Pool Boys, so be sure to check out our website www.thepoolboys.net to see how we can help your company's employee engagement needs!
While it may have been quite the stream of consciousness to get Kemper to this topic, we got there!  Mix in a little college drinking games with fantasy football and BOOM, players that make us want to drink.  See who has been disappointing in a brutal fashion and have us drinking on a Wednesday afternoon (not that there is anything wrong with that)  Will one of us be wasted by the end of the episode?     Don't forget, this amazing banter isn't just only for the podcast. We are The Pool Boys, so be sure to check out our website www.thepoolboys.net to see how we can help your company's employee engagement needs!
We talking Dynasty!

We talking Dynasty!

Even though we have been doing fantasy football for 20 years, there is always a time to try something new! Ethan and Kemper discuss their new Dynasty league where they are headed in different directions, but can still find a way to help each other. CAN THEY DO IT?!   Don't forget, this amazing banter isn't just only for the podcast. We are The Pool Boys, so be sure to check out our website www.thepoolboys.net to see how we can help your company's employee engagement needs!
That's right, where's Kemp?! We have a special co-host this week, one Adam Barr, who happens to be competing in Ethan's neighborhood fantasy league (just don't ask him what happened last week...) A resident Browns fan (wow those are tough to find and admit to), he gives us some insight into Browns fandom and also his strategy for the draft. Who needs positions? Also, Kemper might get mad, but we brought back an old favorite segment, so tune in to see which one! #Browns #fantasyfootball #kingoftheneighborhood #barrcreative   Don't forget, this amazing banter isn't just only for the podcast.
