Description

"The Deck Investigates" returns with Season 2, delving deep into the perplexing case of Ada Haradine, a 40-year-old mother of two who vanished without a trace from her Elkhart, Indiana home on a seemingly ordinary Wednesday afternoon in May 1985.

Over 14 gripping episodes, we meticulously reconstruct the events leading up to Ada's disappearance, exploring the initial efforts to find her and the myriad of suspects and theories that emerged in the wake of her vanishing.

The investigation takes a dramatic turn when Ada's remains are discovered three years later in a wooded area 12 miles from her home, transforming a missing persons case into a homicide investigation. As law enforcement scrambles to make sense of new evidence, the focus shifts to surprising potential suspects, including Ada's neighbor.

Through exclusive interviews with family members, law enforcement, and key witnesses, "The Deck Investigates" grapples with questions about the challenges of pursuing justice decades after a crime.

Join us as we peel back the layers of this baffling cold case, reexamine old leads, and shine a light on overlooked details in the quest to finally answer the question: Who killed Ada Haradine, and why?

I just wanted to say how thrilled I am for the return of "The Deck Investigates" with Season 2! The case of Ada Haradine sounds incredibly intriguing, and I can’t believe it’s taken so long for someone to shine a light on her story. The way you’re reconstructing the events and diving into the details really pulls me in—I appreciate how you’re highlighting not just the facts but also the human elements involved, like the interviews with family and law enforcement. It’s so fascinating (and heartbreaking) to think about how much can be overlooked in a cold case over the years. I’m eager to hear more about the suspects and the twists that came after Ada’s remains were found. It seems like there’s so much more to uncover! Thanks for continuing to bring these stories to light. I can’t wait for the first episode to drop! https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/your-premier-source-custom-cake-boxes-usa-custom-cake-box-id7zf

I feel like someone should look into Nelson. I think Marie’s description sketch looks a LOT like Nelson in the photograph of him at the table and the mic. Episode 8. The way he acts towards the family is bizarre. Like why? Why act like this if you’re trying to solve a case. Maybe Nelson had ties to the marijuana farm. And that BUS! Something is connected there.

You know I love the podcast and all of Ashley Flowers' work and AudioChuck. But I can't help but wonder why, if Emily did the majority of the investigating, why isn't she the one speaking the podcast?

He doesn't sound like he suspects these things. He sounds like he knows that's how it happened. Which would make sense why he didn't want anyone working the case.

you're really trying to make a mountain out of a molehill with this guy. there is no mystery. it's not deep. You must just be doing that for suspense in your podcast.

Nelson is either sketchy as hell or a complete moron. I don't know what's worse since he's the gatekeeper of the case...

Why is he so secretive? He should be happy that this podcast is bringing attention to this case. Doesn't he want it solved? Why is he making the victims kids feel guilty for pushing for this case to be solved.? It just feels off and very strange.

Nelson, you should be ashamed of yourself. You are not a good person and you need to retire. It's scary that you have any involvement with any cases at all. How date he treat a victims daughter the way he has!! Appalling.

Lawd, I can't breathe over here. Hearing how loving Darlene was with her girls and their sweet lil voices took it over the edge for me. No one deserved this and I pray there will be answers soon💞✨

I enjoyed listening to this series a lot. I prefer the more in-depth podcasts to some of their one-off episodes. Hopefully, this will help highlight this horrific story and jump start a proper investigation to give the family answers.

If I lived in that community and that was the prosecuting attorney we were relying on to provide justice for our community I would be screaming for him to be removed from the office IMMEDIATELY! He is an embarrassment to the profession. I would love to see an investigation into the solve & successful prosecution rate in that area. Who is holding these people accountable? If these prosecutors and investigators are not held accountable how will the perpetrators ever be brought to justice? I am almost as pissed as I was about the handling of the Jacob Wetterling case - just unbelievable! 😓😓 SMFH!
