I've got World Cup fever, I make no apologies for that. My weekday evenings are taken up with the beautiful game and all the trappings that go with it. Namely, sitting on the couch watching footers and drinking delicious beer. But I have managed to drag myself away from it all to give you #054. 1. Gruff Rhys - 100 Unread Messages 2. Courtly Love - For Your Love, I Get High 3. Happyness - Regan's Lost Weekend (Porno Queen) 4. Clipping - Summertime feat. King T 5. Lxury - We Do 6. Quirke - Break a Mirrored Leg 7. We're back, and this time a lot clearer than normal. I've been experiencing some technical issues recording in the last few episodes but I've bought a new mixer so hopefully it's coming through loud and clear. Same shit chat mind, just clearer. This week, I've got a whole load of guitars and not much in the way of anything else. So perhaps look away now.....or not. New singles from ....aeadj podcast favourites La Sera and DZ Deathrays. New bands like Tigercub and Broken Hands and music from the new albums from Protomartyr and Fear Of Men along with a few other nuggets. 1. DZ Deathrays - Gina Works At Hearts 2. Broken Hands - No One Left To Meet 3. The Dough Rollers - Always 4. La Sera - Losing In The Dark 5. Chad Van Gaalen - Monster 6. PUP - Reservoir 7. The Oxygen Thieves - Maskara 8. Protomartyr - Trust Me Billy 9. Tigercub - Blue Blood 10. Fear of Men - Inside
A trip to New York has delayed this podcast, actually most of the tracks have been on my to listen list for quite some time now. Ah well, what is done is now done. This week, something new from The Horrors, a couple of new bands from Birmingham and an interesting Scott Walker cover. Apologies for the production value on this show, I was experiencing some issues with the mic, so it's a bit all over the place, to be honest. Should be fixed for #053. 1) Swwwerve - Static 2) The Horrors - In And Out Of Sight 3) Perfect Pussy - Interference Fits 4) Honeyblood - Killer Bangs 5) Juice - Sugar 6) Warmth - King Calm 7) Only Real - Cadillac Girl 8) Sports Bar - Big Mac Yeah 9) COVES - Duchess 10) The War On Drugs - In Reverse

Hot on the heals of #050 comes the latest installment of the ….andeveryonesadj podcast. Why? Well it’s because there is just a bloody load of great music coming out. Some of my favourite bands are on the comeback trail and I’ve got new tracks from Blood Red Shoes, Jimi Goodwin from Doves, Manchester Orchestra and of course, the phenomenal Hold Steady. Along with that lot, there’s music from some new bands like SKATERS, Grimm Grimm and Twin Peaks and some hip-hop from Clipping & Schoolboy Q. I know I can sometimes be prone to exaggeration, but I think this may be the best podcast yet.

The first ….aeadj podcast of 2014 features….a lot of music that came out in 2013. Not deliberate, but it’s just some stuff that has been knocking around for the last few weeks that I’ve enjoyed. There are, of course, a few nice shiny new things, something great that just came out the other day from Merchandise, something off the new Pixies EP and a fabulous track from the album by The Men. 1. Merchandise – Begging For Your Life 2. John Wizards – Lushoto 3. Toy – You Won’t Be The Same 4. Pixies – Magdalenda 5. Milk & Biscuits – Hairstyles 6. Cheerleader – New Daze 7. FEMME – Fever Boy 8. Champs – Only A Bullet Knows Where To Run 9. Circa Waves – Good For Me 10. The Men – Pearly Gates

Do not adjust your displays, this is not a drill. Yes, you read correct. It's back! The ....andeveryonesadj podcast returns from what feels like an eternity. I can only offer my most heartfelt apologies for the gap in transmission. Moving house sucked the life out of me, and the lack of internet in the new house only compounded my misery. But all is well, the light has been walked into and normal service will resume shortly. Until then, please accept this crumb of consolation, 10 tracks taken from my 10 favourite albums of the year. In no particular order. (that's such a fucking cop-out). Anyway have a great New Years Eve, and speak to you again in 2014. Oh an I didn't mention it on the show, but anyone who did email or tweet me to make sure I wasn't dead, thank you! :-) 1. Biffy Clyro - Different People (14th Floor Records) 2013 | From the album Opposites. 2. Kanye West - Black Skinhead (Island Records) 2013 | From the album Yeezus. 3. John Grant - GMF (Bella Union) 2013 | From the album Pale Green Ghosts. 4. The National - Pink Rabbits (4AD) 2013 | From the album Trouble Will Find Me. 5. Los Campesinos! - Avocado Baby (Turnstile Music) 2013 | From the album No Blues. 6. Jagwar Ma - Let Her Go (Future Classics) 2013 | From the album Howlin'. 7. Hookworms - Since We Had Changed (Gringo Records) 2013 | From the album Pearl Mystic. 8. Hooded Fang - Graves (Full Time Hobby) 2013 | From the album Gravez. 9. Bill Ryder-Jones - You're Getting Like Your Sister (Domino Recordings) 2013 | From the album A Bad Wind Blows In My Heart. 10. Something new this week from Pharoahe Monch, or is that Monch? It'll make more sense when you hear, as well as a track of the fabulous Jon Hopkins record. Also after many false starts Kid Krule finally makes an appearance, yup just the 6 months after everyone else was talking about him. Finger on the pulse? Moi? Anywhere the best news is that the football season is nearing a return and I won't be doing this shows as regularly. It also means I'll be a lot more angrier, and borderline depressed, but hey ho :-) Anyway, thanks for taking the time to download. Dog is Great! 1. Pharoahe Monch - Stand Your Ground 2. Houndstooth - Canary Islands 3. Inc. - 5 Days 4. Love Inks - Solar Diary 5. Law - Hustle 6. King Krule - Easy Easy 7. Jon Hopkins - Abandon Window 8. Open Mic - Children Of The Gold 9.Unknown Mortal Orchestra - So Good At Being In Trouble (Black Noi$e Remix) feat. Killer Mike & Mr MFN eXquire 10. Ivry - Hold On To (Unsigned)

A couple of weeks ago I was gifted with something I rarely get, the gift of time. And in that time I decided to record 2 podcasts. You will have heard the first of these podcasts, a week ago. Now, the time has come share with you the second part of this....whatever a 2 part trilogy is. Featured on episode #046 is something new from a guy I've had on here quite recently actually, Daughn Gibson, a demo from a band from Liverpool called Circa Waves and something from one of my favourite albums of the year. Plus other bits and Roberts. Cheers for downloading, Dog is great!

Festival season has well and truly broken, in my case very much so, as last weekends beer lairiness will testify. Anyway, as my Instagram feed is flooded by images of beer cups with out of focus main stages in the background, I’m going to be keeping it real, on the podcatenspeil. Sorry, that made more sense in my head. This week, I open with Fuck Buttons, close with an oldie from Eddie Harris and the points in between range from psychadelic Merseybeat, West Coast Hot Rod and couple of tracks I pinched from the latest copy of The Fly. I am nothing if not shameless.

Is it summer yet? Can we all come out of our wooden and stone homes and feel the sun upon our naked skins? Even if we ask nicely? This podcast was recorded over a Bank Holiday Weekend and finished over the course of the following week. It started off sunburnt, and ended it up soaked through. This is not the way it should be. The podcasts face droops long with sorrow. There will be no tomorrow. I'm going to the North soon, I maybe some time. I may never return.

You find me today dear reader, recovering or perhaps recovered it might be a bit to early to tell, from a 226.2 mile ordeal that I do not wish to repeat. Thanks to the woman with the #edballs sign, I'm still in tremendous pain, however I remain vigilant, determined to spread the good news to the masses. How many people have to be in a mass before it is considered a plural? Anyway, this week I cottoned on that Bandcamp now has fan pages and they are very useful, and as a result there be a couple of tracks on #043 that I found on Bandcamp, with no idea if they are new or not. Fan pages are something I'd been looking for Bandcamp to introduce for a while now, and its good to see that they have finally seen sense and listened to me. I feel like Andy Dufrense. I will now write 2 letters a month! 1. !!! - Station (Meet Me At The) 2. Truls - Out For Yourself 3. Bibio - You 4. All These Fingers - Charcoal Riddim 5. J-Live - The Fun Razor 6. Slander - Magnets 7. Waxahatchee - Brother Bryan 8. The Dead Heads - When I'm Dead 9. Drenge - Necromance Is Dead 10. Vacation - Pyro Hippies

So I made it back from SXSW in one piece, and for that reason alone I think we should all give praise. Saw some phenomenal bands, many of whom are included in this latest episode. If you ever have the opportunity to go to Austin, do so. Just avoid the Super 8 University motel. Along with some of my favourites from Austin I’ve got some tracks of a couple of great records that I’ve picked up in the last week or so. If you are in the market for a new album, you could really do a lot worse than the new John Grant record, it really is something special. 1. The Relatives – Bad Trip (Yep Rock Records) 2013 | Taken from an album that came out in February called The Electric Word, this old geezers can play. 2. Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats – Witches Garden (Rise Above Records) 2013 | Check them out on Facebook here, and if you’re lucky you might actually catch them live at some point too. 3. K-X-P – Melody (Mel0dic Records) 2013 | Touring Europe in April and May, you can see them live in Glasgow Broadcast on the 28th April. and in London on May 1st at Corsica Studios. 4. Autre Ne Veut – Carry (Mexican Summer) 2012 | Found this on their Soundcloud, it wasn’t on their album Anxiety that came out earlier this year. 5. Bass Drum of Death – White Fright (Fat Possum Records) 2012 | That track came out last year as a tour only EP, find out more here. 6. Savages – She Will (Matador Records) 2013 | Great band, everyone was right. 7. Queen Kwong – Eddie The Kid (Smoky Carrot) 2010 | Wikipedia suggest they are currently working on an album. Let’s hope so. 8. Mikhael Paskalev – I Spy (Mom & Pop Records) 2012 | Find out more at http://mikhaelpaskalev.com/ 9. Daughn Gibson – In The Beginning (White Denim) 2012 | From an album that came out in 2012 called All Hell. 10. John Grant – GMF (Bella Union) 2013 | Yeah, it’s fair to say I’m enjoying this Pale Green Ghosts album. The radio edit for this isn’t a good shout.

You find me dear reader, pondering over a suitcase, looking forlorning into the night sky. A crumpled sheet of paper lies beside me, upon it a list of necessities. Passport, visa, hotel reservation, hotel address, ticket…..I am packing. I fucking hate packing. By the time many of you read this I will be high above the clouds on my way to SXSW. A pilgrimage that I have threatened to do for so many years, that it barely feels real. Anyway, I’m going to try and record a show out there, so there will be lots of opportunity to chat shit about Texas and the like then, so for now you’ll just have to put up with a selection of songs that i thought have been ruddy marvellous these last few weeks. Atoms For Peace – Unless (XL Recordings) 2013 – From a not as shit as I’d have thought it considering it features a Red Hot Chili Pepper album called Amok. 5. Cluster – Hollywood (Brain Records) 1974 – From an album called Zuckerzeit, go check it out. 7.
