State Of The Orioles

State Of The Orioles

2024-04-2638:51

It's an off day in Baltimore so it seems like a great time to check in on the state of the Orioles. Zach gives Patrick and Jab a call to dive into the numbers on the offense, starters, and bullpen. The guys discuss what has gone well and what needs to be improved. They talk about Gunnar Henderson's MVP case and Jackson Holliday's super slow start. Then they take back one of the predictions from the annual MLB Prediction Show. Remember the mission!
Jackson Holliday is getting the call. The Baltimore Orioles are promoting baseball's top prospect, 20-year-old Jackson Holliday. He will make his debut against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway on Wednesday April 10. Jab and Zach discuss the decision to start Holliday at Triple-A Norfolk to begin the season, how Holliday has performed, why Mike Elias decided to promote him now, and predict the corresponding roster move to clear space for Holliday. Remember the mission.
Jab, Patrick, and Zach are back for their 13th year of predicting the upcoming MLB season. The guys pick their division winners, wild cards, Cy Young award, MVP, and Rookie of the Years. Then they wrap by making a prediction about the World Series matchup and winner.
Zach traveled from Orlando to Baltimore and spent 24 hours in Charm City to go to game one of the ALDS between the Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles. Listen along on his journey.
I’m grateful to have the Orioles back in a real way and excited to watch what the next (hopefully) couple months bring. They’ve always been there, a constant in my life, but I’m excited to return to the days where they play an even bigger role. To share that with Penny, in this next chapter of my life, is even more exciting. Maybe she’ll even get to see the championship I’ve been waiting my entire life to witness.  Subscribe to Baltimore Sports Report on Substack: https://baltimoresportsreport.substack.com/

So here it is, the 2021 show. Last year, despite a strange season, Patrick corrected predicted that the Dodgers would defeat the Rays in the World Series. This year, he's going even bolder.  We're excited you're joining us, whether it's for the first time of for the entire last decade. Please enjoy our 10th annual MLB Predictions Show. Happy Opening Day!
For the last nine seasons, Jabby Burns, Patrick Guthrie, and Zach Wilt have predicted how the MLB season will unfold. This year is certainly a little different, but the guys still give their best effort in forecasting the 2020 season.  The guys run through each division and give their winners, they then share their AL and NL Wild Cards. Prior to getting to the World Series, the guys run through the awards and share their Cy Young winners and MVPs. And lastly, Jab, Patrick, and Zach share their World Series matchup and winner. The 60 game season will be different, but we can't wait for it to get started.
