Are we living in the end times? What does it look like to view end times through the lens of Jesus' finished work?In this video we dive into Scripture, history, and theology to discover a Jesus focused, gospel-centered understanding of the end of days.
In the fifth installment of The BrahmCast, we start taking a look at eschatology, end times, and the kingdom of God in the light of the gospel and of the finished work of Christ.
What does it look like to live in the freedom of the gospel?Paul wrote, "it is no longer I, but Christ who lives in me." In this episode, we dive into the truth that sets us free when we understand our union with the indwelling Christ.
Kit Mafu and I take an hour to unpack the only narrative that will still be relevant after this news cycle is over: the gospel of Jesus Christ. We talk race, identity, eschatology, and living well in the gospel in the context of the person and work of Christ, and humanity's inclusion in him.
In this episode, we dive into the reality of our inclusion in Jesus' death-- we died together with Christ! We examine the cross, the law, the gospel, and what it all means for us.
The BrahmCast's pilot episode.
The gospel is "too good to be true" news, but it is good news precisely because it is actually true. The staggering truth of the gospel is that the eternal, infinite, holy God stepped into space, time, and history. Almighty God stepped into our humanity to redeem our broken and sinful human condition from the inside out. The gospel is the news that the God of the universe has brought finite human beings into perfect union with himself through the person and work of Jesus Christ.
Because God became man in Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ himself is the gospel.
Enjoy the introduction from my recent book, God of the Gospel!
Book Description:
We have seriously underestimated Jesus.
As a result, the Gospel has, as at times, been dangerously misrepresented, and is often used to support whatever religious or political agenda can co-opt it conveniently.
Thankfully, a new movement of reformation is underway as the church rediscovers the beauty and supremacy of Christ, and the power of the simple message of Christ and him crucified.
What is the Gospel?
Who is Jesus?
What did he reveal about God?
What does it mean for us?
This little book explores the basics of the Christian faith from a distinctly christological, Gospel-centered perspective, connecting theology with experience for the next generation of believers.
