subscribe today at cannatalknd.com D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser signed into law a bill that will make 420 a official "tax holiday", for one week following the famous "4/20" day taxes will not be charged on all sales regarding MJ. the measure creates an incentive to keep people out of illicit or gray  markets by creating a “‘4/20 Medical Cannabis Sales Tax Holiday Week’  where medical cannabis patients would not pay the six percent sales tax  for the period of Friday, April 15, 2022 through Sunday, April 24,  2022.” The bill also covers senior citizens (65 and over) to gain access to the medicinal plant, allowing them to "Self Certify" to there symptoms to allow them to enter a dispensary. the Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration also will assist from February 22-25th to help seniors with the self certification process. “Senior Week will provide qualifying patients 65 years of age and older  with the option to obtain a two-year registration card at no cost prior  to the start of the medical cannabis sales tax holiday on April 15,”  ABRA Director Fred Moosally said.  “We appreciate the steps taken by the D.C. Council to ease the burdens  for qualifying patients to access medical cannabis a result of this  emergency legislation.”
subscribe today at cannatalknd.com Year over year Colorado has been taking in all the money in cannabis sales. The state has been breaking records year over year with 1.9 Billion in the year 2020 and 2.2 Billion in 2021! Jocelyn Ayala, general manager at Third Day Apothecary, a medical  marijuana dispensary in Colorado Springs, said “it doesn’t surprise me at all  that sales were up... It’s just becoming less taboo as the years go on.... You’re  seeing more professional people speak out about the benefits of  cannabis, which is making other people who normally wouldn’t want to try  it feel more comfortable.” its no surprise since each and every state that has legalized has broken records year over year in sales. while the benchmark is tough to quantify since there are not many previous records it just shows that legalizing isnt as taboo as its said to be.
subscribe today at cannatalknd.com a new study that looked at novel cases of cannabis toxicosis in donkeys stated "The donkeys’ symptoms sound a lot like what happens when a person takes  an edible that’s too strong. They presented as lethargic and their  hearts were beating faster than normal," however it indicated this lasts for 44 hours for a low dosage "The study doesn’t directly comment on the ethics of feeding cannabis to donkeys,  but as a general rule, people are discouraged from intentionally  intoxicating animals and should take precautions to avoid accidental  ingestion." So please dont feed your donkey's marijuana its not good for them they may become donkey from Shrek 🤣 Canna-Talk ND with Wilson and related affiliates do not encourage the illegal usage of substances, all mentions of cannabis are in relation to legalization and politics surrounding it. Amazon one of the largest "e-Tailors" a while back ago rolled out a new and much more improved hiring practice not requiring a cannabis free drug test to be hired, they found the pool of employees they could hire drastically increased!. Many employers have also followed suit and the lobbiest arm of amazon has set out to lobby for modernizing our banking system with regard for cannabis sales. They stated they plan on backing the STATES act which will de-schedule cannabis from the insane designation of no medical value considerably easing up what states can and cant do in regard to legalization. This will make it so states can make there own laws that make sense in there states and demographic. However I believe this is a ploy to go into the cannabis industry and open up a nationwide retailer and providing for a marketplace much like we have in the "black market" industry, They are also widely known for mistreating there employees and have been exposed in the past on reddit (antiwork, and workers reform subreddits) What do you think about this move? leave a comment down below and we may feature you in cannaheads!   Subscribe today at cannatalknd.com

It also provides protection to medical patients from negative consequences to a positive UA for cannabis. Matt Gaetz and Rand Paul take on liberal lawmakers on banking and the  S.A.F.E. Act. on the podcast "naturally infected" Gaetz stated “In the  Congress, there are countless bills introduced to end the federal  prohibition on marijuana,” he said. “Why is it still a Schedule I drug,  making it more illegal than opioids?” Rand Paul earlier had criticized  democrats on twitter saying "Democrats control the House, Senate and  White House and we still can’t get cannabis banking reform bills passed.  This should be a complete no brainer,"   HR. 1996 (SAFE banking act of 2021) passed housed in april 19th 2021.  and " prohibits a federal banking regulator from penalizing a depository  institution for providing banking services to a legitimate  cannabis-related business. Prohibited penalties include terminating or  limiting the deposit insurance or share insurance of a depository  institution solely because the institution provides financial services  to a legitimate cannabis-related business and prohibiting or otherwise  discouraging a depository institution from offering financial services  to such a business. "  as well as "decreases the cap on the surplus  funds of the Federal Reserve banks. (Amounts exceeding this cap are  deposited in the general fund of the Treasury.)"  currently it sits  referred to the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. Despite 2021 being probably the most difficult year for youth nationwide, a federally funded study found use of illicit drugs in general has gone down, it breaks down as follows: 8th graders: 7.1% reported using marijuana in the past year in 2021, compared to 11.4% in 2020 10th graders: 17.3% reported using marijuana in the past year in 2021, compared to 28.0% in 2020 12th graders: 30.5% reported using marijuana in the past year in 2021, compared to 35.2% in 2020 "The survey,  which involved self-reporting by 32,260 students across 319 schools  from February to June, is another example of how the prohibitionist  narrative that marijuana legalization would increase youth use isn’t  holding water." says Marijuana moment.
