Today, we have Tom in the studio to discuss his experience with divorce. Tom has gone through two divorces and has learned some valuable lessons. In this episode, Tom and the host, Per, discuss the importance of being kind and compassionate during a divorce and how it can make the process less destructive for everyone involved. Tom shares a story from his first divorce, where his friend helped him see that there was a better way to handle the situation. He learned that being angry and hostile only made things worse and ultimately cost him a lot of money.  Per relates to Tom's story and shares that he made the mistake of hiring a hostile lawyer in his divorce. He learned that this only worsened the situation and ultimately cost him a lot of money. Both Tom and Per agree that it's essential to be kind and compassionate during a divorce. They believe that this can help to make the process less destructive and ultimately lead to a better outcome for everyone involved. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rockinglifeafterdivorce/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rockinglifeafterdivorce/support

When we go through these traumatic these hard, these difficult times. To me, that's what builds us. That's what gets us to where we are. That's how we grow. THE SECURE, THE ANXIOUS, AND THE AVOIDANT Adult attachment designates three main “attachment styles,” or manners in which people perceive and respond to intimacy in romantic relationships, which parallel those found in children: Secure, Anxious, and Avoidant. Basically, secure people feel comfortable with intimacy and are usually warm and loving; anxious people crave intimacy, are often preoccupied with their relationships, and tend to worry about their partner’s ability to love them back; avoidant people equate intimacy with a loss of independence and constantly try to minimize closeness.
