This is the 31st and final episode of the Living with Mary Podcast, which aired for two years. To bring home the honesty, vulnerability, and intimacy I strove for throughout the podcast, this final episode is completely unedited. In a desire for an ever-deepening relationship with Mother Mary, I share from the book Truly Our Sister by Elizabeth Johnson. In particular, I look at the idealization of Mary and the three main roles she was cast in, the handmaiden, the virgin, and the mother, and the detrimental effects this has had on women. I suggest that by liberating Mary - in our minds - from these roles we can liberate ourselves. Ever felt a separation between the part of you who knows about Spirit and the part of you who doubts? I have lived with this rift within me for a very long time. I share with you here how I recently brought the two parts of me together and the fruits that this union has brought me. I hope that this could be useful to you! How can Mary bear our suffering? In contrast to my tigress mother instincts of fighting for my young or against cruelty and abuse in the world, Mary bore Jesus’ suffering and death through being there for him in love. She does the same for us. I speak about this, sharing also a story from my recent healing of some very broken pieces of myself. Mary’s ability to transform suffering into love never ceases to astound me!

Fear of persecution is carried deep within many of us. As a channel for Mother Mary, where the simple saying of this could, in some countries, have me persecuted under anti-blasphemy laws, I have had to learn to use this fear as a teacher. Standing in my truth is challenging, but not being true to myself so as not to disturb the current order of things, I know would have been way worse. In this episode I share some of my story and insights related to this topic.

Listen to Mary’s and Branka’s encouragement to love your body. There is much healing that needs to occur globally and individually related to the human body, but now is the time when we have great opportunity to do this. Mother Mary comes through with Her powerful message about loving our body and developing oneness consciousness through allowing the full merging of the body and spirit.
