When you visit Düsseldorf's Altstadt you notice two iconic landmarks the twisted top of the church tower of St. Lambertus, and the lone Castle Tower. The last standing structure of the old city castle which was unfortunately destroyed by a fire in 1872. In the Lantern of the Castle tower people report the sightings of the white lady. This was the prison and the dying room for Duchess Jakobe of Baden-Baden. who was murdered there on 03.09.1597.  It ssems that Jakobe never left the tower she died in.
