Through the pain, God shows us where we are strong as well as where we are weak. The experience we gain through this process is what will lead us toward the promise that God has for us. The gift of grace through Jesus is what calls many of us into his presence. We reach for this when in times of trouble and it's what we seek most when we we feel we have failed in our faith. In Matthew 25, Jesus talks about the final judgement. Quite an ominous topic for sure. In this chapter Jesus lays out a scenario in which one group of people were righteous and one group of people were, well, not righteous. In this episode I break down the spiritual aspect of the parable of feeding the hungry, giving water to the thirsty, clothing the naked, caring for the sick and visiting those in prison.
