Allowing God to lead is by far the best thing that you can do as a Christian on your daily walk with God. He is really faithful and will not give us more than we can bear. He truly loves us and wants the best for us. However, we sometimes allow our self-will to rob us of that blessing that comes with full surrender to the one who knows us best. Perfectionism is not required on your purpose-driven journey. God is not looking for you to be fully ready, with no struggles, baggage, and dysfunction to be removed before you can walk fully into whom he is calling you to be. Instead, he wants you to start with who you already are, struggles, baggage, and all so that he can truly transform you into who he is calling you to be. So don’t ever feel like you can’t become who he is calling you to be but rather God just wants your yes. That’s all that’s required of you on your journey of purpose. When we create self-made timelines in our lives, we are saying to God that we rather take on our own journey instead of the one he already pre-destined for us. God wants you to be on your journey of purpose and destiny. In fact, he wants you to live a life that is so much better for you than what you could have ever dreamt up for yourself. The problem with most of us is that we don’t trust him with our lives in full surrender and we tend to cling to the security this world has to offer instead.
