Description
A coming of age screwball comedy for people of all ages. Seasons 1-5 are short self-contained scenes in the life of an elderly woman, random conversations (vignettes) with people of all ages—entertaining and a wee bit provocative. Seasons 6 and 7 take place in a parallel Superhero territory, whereby Helen, in her late-70s, discovers she has been chosen to 'save the planet' - if she only knew what her superpower is. Written, performed and produced by Aussie-born, Liverpool-based actress, singer-songwriter and performance poet Flloyd Kennedy, with occasional guest performers. I use Buzzsprout and it makes hosting this podcast a smooth and enjoyable process. ★★★★★ "This is delightful storytelling from Flloyd Kennedy. Gentle but deceptively sharp; underestimate the characters populating this podcast at your own peril. The writing, performance and music are all a joy." Season 6 kicks off with a brand new look, new musical theme, and an amazing adventure for Helen and the crew. This is a screwball comedy serial, in which there are super powers and superior beings handing them out, possibly for the good of the planet. It all remains to be seen. Here are a couple of poems about writing poetry, to celebrate National Poetry Day. Meantime, I'll get on with the new project, writing, recording and editing episodes for the promised spinoff serialised screwball adventure that Helen finds herself mixed up in. Once again, I apologise for the delay in getting this up. Fact is, I'm both excited and overwhelmed to be working on a new, spin-off series involving Helen and her friends in a totally, seriously silly adventure. It's proving to be extremely labour and time intensive, so I'm closing down Season 5 to get on with it. I hope to have the new series ready for you in a few weeks.
