Description

Todd McComas left a 21-year career as a detective with the Indiana State Police to pursue a career in standup comedy and podcasting. His standup has always featured incredible and hilarious stories from his own career as a detective and now he’s putting that mix of crime and comedy to work in season 2 of this podcast. Todd features a different case each episode and tells the story from the perspective of both detective and comedian. His mission is to not only educate you about these criminals and their crimes, but also to show you that comedy exists in even the darkest of places.
In season 1 you hear just the detective in Todd as he features an unsolved quadruple murder, that he actually had some involvement with, known as The Burger Chef Murders.

On my very first day as a detective for the Indiana State Police I was briefed, as was every new detective at the Indianapolis District at that time, on an unsolved case referred to as The Burger Chef Murders. I was introduced to the lead investigator on that case and worked with him or under his command for a good portion of my career. I even had the opportunity to assist him for a short stint with this case. He's retired now and over 41 years later, this case remains unsolved. Or does it? Because he's retired now, he's free to share with you the details of his work on the case. Much of his story, findings and opinions on the case have never been shared publicly and I thought it was important that he do so. If this case is ever going to have a chance at being prosecuted, word has to get out. what if Mark actually knew these murderers...and he had an inkling of what was going to happen beforehand. Then to these bad guys thought he seemed to about to backstap them or rat them out? So that was his punishment. He was beaten but not dead when they left him...why? Maybe he (Mark) helped lead his friends to be compliant as he was somehow familiar with them, anticipated it but not the murdering? Maybe Mark felt was all about the $. Just a random thought. Not familiar with this case but paused it (this pod episode)before finishing.
