The role of the criminal profiler fascinates me more than any other in law enforcement and Julia Cowley was certainly one of the best to ever hold the position. She profiled the Golden State Killer case and obviously many more high-profile cases so she's here to talk about those, to explain exactly what a profiler does and to share her new podcast The Consult which is stacked with an entire crew retired profilers.
Paul Holes is a retired investigator from the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office who was the Lead Cold Case investigator for the Golden State Killer Case and is largely responsible for the identification and arrest of Joseph DeAngelo.

I had a great conversation with Criminal Psychiatrist Dr. Carole Lieberman about some notable cases she's had the opportunity to review. She also let me pick her brain a bit a couple issues of interest.

This is one of my favorite interviews. Everyone knows who Amanda Knox is as it relates to her wrongful murder conviction in Italy. But this interview gives you a chance to get to know who she actually is and how she's turned her experience into a tool for making the world a better place.
Please listen to Amanda's podcast Labyrinths: Getting Lost with Amanda Knox.

Tom Satterly is a retired Delta Force operator and Command Sgt. Major who survived the Battle of Mogadishu (Black Hawk Down). Obviously, that wasn't his only scrape during his 25 years in Special Operations and after his retirement the effects of post traumatic stress nearly took him from us. But with the assistance of his wife Jen, he fought his way to the other side. Together they founded All Secure Foundation which assists Special Operations members, active and veterans, that are battling PTSD.

Tom Weitzel is the former Chief of Riverside P.D. in Illinois. After surviving an ambush by a home invasion crew that was on their way to kill a parole officer, Tom worked his way up to become Chief. This is the final episode of the throwback series from Doc Heads that breaks down the true crime documentary Evil Genius.
Thanks to Tiger King, the disappearance of Don Lewis is the most famous unsolved case we've seen in a very long time. And say what you will about True Crime YouTubers but Jack "Ripper" Smith is legit. At least that's my humble opinion. I'm a big fan of this guy after this interview. Jack is the spokesman for the Lewis family and by all appearances, the lead investigator for Don's family's investigation into his disappearance. Jack and his team have made incredible strides in this investigation and have unearthed new evidence that I believe is very significant to the case and he's here to share it with you.
Todd presents Part 2 of Evil Genius with Jessica Alsman and Jeff Oskay. Enjoy your Thanksgiving! Part 3 will be available soon.
