Bruce steals an arrowhead from Rachel and is dealt swift comeuppance by karma. His punishment is falling down a well and a bat attack. Waking from his dream Bruce finds himself in prison on the other side of the world. Ducard joins Bruce in his spacious solitary suite and begins recruiting him to join the League of Shadows. Bruce's interest is peaked as Ducard talks of justice and defines vigilantes.
