We're doing some January wrap-up since OJ was gone last week, with the fantastic fourth album from Mizmor, Prosaic!
Hey sometimes things explode and you gotta deal with it.
For our 300th episode, the fellas make time for an album that's been on the backburner since it came out in November, Silent Planet's newest, Superbloom!
This week the fellas listen to the second best (or worst) thing to debut in 1996! Wait... what's the other thing?
The boys listen to a slightly moodier, slightly groovier new record from ERRA, the brand spankin' new Cure.
Both boys may be unwell, but that won't stop them in the slightest from gushing about the first Job For a Cowboy album in a decade: Moon Healer!
Sometimes you just gotta make your friends listen to the entire discography of a band that is gonna make them sad, and that's just how it is.
Non-Metal March takes us back to 1977 we go for Mr. Billy Joel's true breakout album, The Stranger!
A non-metal March continues with the boys giving a listen to an all time great of post-rock: The ageless The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place by Explosions In the Sky.
What's a Beatle?
Female February finishes up with the bizarre and eclectic The Above from Pittsburgh's Code Orange!
Female February wraps up... wait, there's one more episode? But it'll be March! Oh, whatever. Female February continues with the... EP(?) An Eye For an Eye by California's Butcher Babies.
Female February continues with Spiritbox's fantastic EP from last year, The Fear of Fear.
Female February begins... only two weeks into the month! This week: The Other One by Babymetal!
Black metal January continues with a look at latest (and fifteenth in total) studio album from Swedish Black Metal Heavyweights Marduk!
Back into it this Black Metal January with an overdue conversation about the latest epic from Panopticon, The Rime of Memory!
Oftentimes albums which would go on to become influential and formative works for entire genres have a certain spark to them that, in retrospect, seems obvious and apparent. You listen and can go "Oh, I understand how this became important to a lot of people." Even if the quality isn't great or the songwriting isn't as tight as it could be, that spark is there and you can feel it. This isn't one of those albums.
It's once again time to gather around the computer/phone for a holiday listen to our annual Chuckmas episode! This year we listen to th 7th and final of St. Schuldiner's albums with Death, 1998's The Sound of Perseverance!
Back 10 1989 we got for our third album of DMD 2023, Slowly We Rot by Obituary!
DEATH METAL DECEMBER continues with the newest from Canada's Tomb Mold: The Enduring Spirit!
