This was a great episode! As a practising Buddhist who has also grappled with reflections on anti-capitalist activism and what the parameters of non-violence are/are perceived to be, i'd love it if you do focus an episode on exploring that aspect more. so good, thanks again!

Great intro! Activism can often turn toxic and thus counterproductive. But it doesnt have to. i think this is what the activist movements of the 60s had, that needs to be brought back into todays movements. Your point about charismatic leaders being the achiles heel of social movements is spot on! All the more if they violate, or just proport to, the ethics the movenent is promoting. To the end points Social movements without solidarity, without community, are just fads.
