In this episode of WarHQ’s War Room we take the time to have a look at the myth and the fact behind Sargent Pavlov and his house. Following up on the Campaign Stalingrad bolt action book release we look in more depth at what actually went on at Pavlovs house. Then we delve into building a Bolt Action list from using the new list and selector from Campaign Stalingrad to reflect the forces defending the house. And we answer the question “Did they really only have one record player and one record?”
In this episode we take a stroke through Stalingrad as the Germans try to break the Soviets. We run through the scenario section, move on to the new units then the theatre selectors, finally touching down in the campaign play! Ready for a rollercoaster into the Soviet Union? Hold tight. It's been over a month since the last World Team Championships were held in Poland. We have Dave Nolan, the event organiser on the show to give us an insight into what is happening behind the scenes and a taster of what we can expect next year.
So this past weekend saw me on a wee adventure to France. I went to the French Nationals held at the Overlord Museum in Normandy over the D-Day weekend. Managed to fulfil a dream and go to Port-en-Bessin where the 47 (Royal Marine) Commando famously completed their raid (Operation Aubrey) on 7-8th June 1944 to secure the town.
