Not in a loud or performative way, but in the quiet decisions that no one else can see. In this episode, I talk about the difference between natural evolution and intentional reinvention, especially when it comes to letting go of old labels that no longer serve you.We dig into the fear that keeps people stuck, fear of failure, fear of judgment, and fear of feeling awkward when you try something new. I share why that uneasiness never fully goes away, but how you can become more comfortable with it when you stay connected to who you actually are and where you want to go in this season of your life.I also talk about distraction, isolation, and how easy it is to stay floating exactly where you are when everything around you reinforces the same thoughts and beliefs. Reinvention requires connection, to yourself first, and then to people who challenge and support you in a real give and take way. This episode is an invitation to reflect. When was the last time you consciously decided who you wanted to be? And are you living from the inside/out, or just reacting to what is familiar and comfortable? Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. What have you settled for? This is a continuation of the conversation around taking responsibility for your own life and owning the choices you are making. Not from a place of pressure or motivation talk, but from a place of honesty and self awareness. Sometimes the most important step is not changing anything at all. It is simply knowing.I talk about why settling is not automatically a failure. Sometimes settling is a conscious choice. Sometimes it is the easier option. Sometimes it is the comfort you actually want right now. And there is nothing wrong with that. The problem usually comes when we pretend we are stuck instead of admitting we are choosing. We also get into what really happens when you do decide to change. It is rarely a dramatic overnight transformation. It involves pauses, adjustments, reassessment, and sometimes intentional breaks. Continuing forward thoughtfully is often more courageous than taking the first step. This episode is about giving yourself permission to tell the truth about where you are. Whether you decide to stay or move in a new direction, you deserve to know what you are choosing and why. That awareness alone can change how you experience frustration, anxiety, and self judgment. If you are trying to live an inside/out life, this kind of reflection matters. Knowing yourself matters. And building a calm and deliberate path forward starts with honest awareness. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. There are things that are outside of your control and always will be, but there is also a lot that is within your control. When you consistently focus on what you can influence, you begin to feel grounded, capable, and calm instead of reactive and overwhelmed. This conversation is about ownership without blame. It is about understanding that your headspace, your mindset, and the way you interpret what is happening around you will shape the direction you move in. This is not about pretending everything is positive or thinking your way out of reality. It is about trusting yourself to figure things out as you go, even when you do not have all the answers yet.I also talk about belief, not fake confidence or empty motivation, but a genuine belief in your ability to learn, adapt, and navigate challenges. You have already proven this by getting yourself to where you are right now. You are still here. You are still moving. You are still capable. This episode is a reminder that you are writing your own adventure every single day. You get to decide how you respond, what you take ownership of, and how you move forward from here. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. Your Level Fitness has evolved from my first job at the gym to something that has become my life’s work and the through line has always been the same. I want people to build confidence by showing up for themselves and living an inside/out life.I talk about the early days of selling gym memberships and watching members grow into more confident versions of themselves just by continuing to show up. I share how I was pushed into getting a real job and how that led me into advertising sales marketing agency work content creation coaching and everything in between. Through every season I kept coming back to YLF because it is the thing that has always made sense to me.I also walk through how sticking with something long enough will force all your experiences to work together. That is exactly what happened with my marketing background my fitness work my personal story and even my time in corporate email strategy. It all shaped how I built the current YLF tech stack structure programs and daily content. I explain why individualization matters how human connection still beats full AI automation and why I am not going anywhere. If you have something you want to build this episode is a reminder that your path will evolve and you can find your way by sticking with it. Daryl explains how the fitness industry has spent years marketing against your insecurities and convincing you that you are not enough unless you buy the next solution.Daryl shares why he created a message that tells you the opposite. You already have what you need. The work is to choose this belief on purpose and reinforce it daily so you can connect with yourself and live an inside/out life. As you build that connection your spending habits shift your goals evolve and you stop letting marketers tell you who you are.He also walks through how he has structured Your Level Fitness to support that process with hundreds of blog posts thousands of podcast episodes regular emails and social content that you can use on your own. Then he explains how the YLF Experience and higher service levels give you direct guidance when you want help individualizing the framework while still keeping you as the architect of your own life. The conversation also dives into body image and why so many people feel like they never look good enough even after losing weight. In this episode, I want to focus on the other side of that conversation, what happens when you say yes. More specifically, why you are saying yes matters more than most people realize. When you agree to help someone, that situation now becomes part of your world. If things do not go smoothly, frustration and resentment can creep in fast, especially if you agreed out of obligation instead of genuine desire. I break down how doing the right thing for the wrong reason can quietly damage relationships and your own sense of calm. This episode is a reminder to slow down before agreeing to anything. Helping others can be a beautiful thing when it comes from a real place of choice. It becomes heavy when it comes from guilt, pressure, or fear of disappointing someone. The goal is not to stop helping people, it is to help in a way that aligns with how you actually want to show up in your life. This ties directly into an inside/out approach to decision making, self trust, and emotional awareness. When your yes is honest, it carries less tension and far less resentment. When it is not, it costs you more than you think. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. I share how easy it is to connect your worth to weight loss progress the speed of your results or the labels other people know you by and what happens when any of those things change. You will hear examples from health and fitness work and everyday life that show how fragile it can be when your identity is wrapped around what you do instead of who you are. It is easy to get fired up and start something. The real difference shows up when life throws curveballs and you still find a way to show up for yourself even if it is only for ten or fifteen minutes.I walk you through how this plays out in fitness content creation and life as a whole. We get into pacing yourself taking breaks on purpose instead of out of fear and choosing to see your situation as your advantage instead of a limitation. I also talk about why following someone else plan can be a helpful starting point but will never be enough on its own and how you can turn those best practices into a process that actually fits your life and your personality.By the end of this episode you will be reminded that your secret sauce is not your circumstances. It is your willingness to keep showing up to take small steps and to adjust as you go. If you see yourself as someone who follows through your actions will eventually match that and the momentum you build will carry into every area of your life. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. The part that really matters is everything in between. As I look at my own life as an almost forty four year old I see how fast time moves and how many things I used to worry about that truly do not matter now. Fitness, weight loss, business, all of it felt huge in the moment, but so much of what kept me up at night has faded into the background.I share why I believe you will figure out what you need to figure out, professionally, personally, and within yourself, if you can spend more time present and working toward the future you want instead of living in past regrets or future what ifs. You will not be perfect with this and neither am I, but the more often you come back to center and intentionally build your life, the more you can feel fulfilled, at peace, and less weighed down by the sense that you wasted whole chapters of your story. This is a short but heavier episode meant to nudge you to look at how you are spending your time and how you want the rest of your book to read. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. When you are going after goals it is hard to keep showing up, pushing through setbacks, and navigating the forward and backward cycles that come with any long term process. Support and encouragement from the right people can make all the difference.I share why there is no cap on how many people can be successful in any area and why you can fully celebrate others, even when their goals look nothing like yours. Whether someone is chasing a fitness milestone, a career shift, a creative project, or anything else, your genuine encouragement matters more than you realize. The tech we have now is incredible and much more accessible than it used to be, but it is not meant to be perfect. It is a baseline, a snapshot of where you are right now, so you can pay attention to trends over time instead of obsessing over a single reading.I share how I look at my own data, from steps and workouts to sleep and blood pressure, including moments where the numbers clearly miss the mark. The goal is not one hundred percent accuracy, the goal is consistent action. When you show up and are roughly sixty to seventy percent on target most of the time, you will get better long term results than chasing perfection, burning out, falling off, and restarting over and over.If you are someone who fixates on calories, macros, or daily stats, this conversation is a reminder to zoom out, use the information as a tool, and keep doing the best you can daily or almost daily. Your progress is built on patterns, not isolated numbers, and you have more room to breathe and adjust than you might think. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. This is not an either or situation. It is an and. Therapy, exercise, medication, and every tool you use to support your mental and emotional health all work together, not in competition. I talk about what a productive relationship with a therapist actually looks like, why it is so hard to find, and why therapy is still the foundation of an inside/out process when it is accessible for you.I also break down a recent social media post that claimed exercise is more effective than therapy or medication. There is truth in the benefits of movement. There is also danger in oversimplifying mental health to a single solution. Exercise is a powerful tool, but it is not therapy. It can support your mental health, but it cannot replace the work that happens in a connected therapeutic relationship. As someone who has been in therapy for years, I share what the process has done for me and why I believe everyone deserves access to a therapist who can help them see their blind spots, develop skills, and work through their internal patterns. I also talk about how much the fitness space reinforces the belief that changing your body will fix how you feel, and how that leads many people into body dysmorphia and cycles of frustration. My hope with this episode is simple. If even one person hears this and begins to be easier on themselves, recognizes their own resilience, or takes a step toward connecting with who they are beneath the surface, then the conversation served its purpose. You deserve tools. You deserve support. You deserve to feel at home in your own head. And you can build that one honest step at a time. Please share your thoughts with me at daryl@yourlevelfitness.com. We live in a time where sixty second summaries get more attention than real stories but real growth does not come from bite sized checklists. It comes from sharing what you have lived through and taking the time to understand what those experiences taught you.I also share why I want more people to tell their own stories in their own voice whether that is through a blog a podcast or their own corner of the internet. Your lived experience has depth and context that no algorithm friendly format will ever capture. If you have been thinking about creating your own platform this is your reminder to start. This episode is more of an audio journal than a polished outline. I share how chasing change from a place of self hate only leads to burnout and frustration, and how learning to live from the inside/out can completely shift your mindset and progress. I also open up about my own experiences with cerebral palsy, insecurity, and the pressure to constantly change my body, and why the real transformation happens when you decide who you are and reinforce that choice each day.You will hear how consistency has built momentum in my writing, workouts, and podcasting, and how simplifying my content structure has allowed more clarity and impact. I also talk about the YLF Experience and why I have designed it to give you real access, guidance, and structure without relying on automation. At the end of the day, my goal is to help you build a peaceful, confident, productive life by connecting with yourself and taking action instead of just consuming more content. I also break down why so much of social media feels the same right now, why trends burn out fast, and how choosing to zag when everyone else zigs can actually help you cut through with the right people. We get into storytelling, authenticity, influence, and the difference between chasing numbers and creating real impact. I share how I approach my content, why the stripped down style works for me, and how the right fifteen viewers can be more valuable than fifteen thousand. We also talk about the realities of influencer culture, brand deals, commissions, micro trends, and why knowing your actual why keeps you grounded no matter what the metrics say.If you want to build something real online, create from your actual lived experience, or just feel a little more connected to yourself instead of endlessly scrolling, this episode is for you. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. You have probably heard the idea that you should find your why but most of those answers are based on other people and expectations that live outside of you. The real why is the one that drives your actions day after day and it starts with seeing yourself clearly exactly as you are right now without judgment or criticism. This process takes time because there is so much you have to cut through. Your sense of self shapes every choice you make in fitness weight loss and every other area of life. Once you can see who you are right now you can start exploring how you want to see yourself which creates a bridge you can actually walk across. As you evolve the picture will change and that is exactly how it should be.When your actions are built around what you genuinely like and what you are willing and able to do you no longer have to force consistency. You enjoy what you are doing so you naturally show up. That is why fitness and eating strategies based on your preferences are always more sustainable than anything that requires willpower alone. The results become the byproduct not the primary target.I also talk about therapy and how valuable it can be when you are doing this deeper connection work. Not every therapist will be the right fit and that is normal. A productive working relationship can support you as you reinforce how you want to see yourself every day but this work still starts with you.As always I want to hear your thoughts. True accountability starts with being able to look yourself in the eye and take ownership of your choices. You can have support, you can have connections, and you should, but your foundation has to come from you. When you build that connection, you are better equipped to decide who gets access to you and to what level.I also dive into why most people should not have front row seats to your life. You are not responsible for their opinions and they are not entitled to your inner world. At the same time, isolating yourself is not the answer either. We are meant to have meaningful relationships, but they need to be the right ones. Being accountable to yourself helps you identify those people and build the kind of life that feels grounded, empowering, and aligned with who you are. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories. Knowing who we are. Really knowing. I walk you through a simple identity journal prompt that helps you reconnect with yourself and start peeling back the layers of what you think you should be so you can see who you actually are. Your past can inform you but it does not define you, and your worth is not tied to what you have already accomplished. This is a reminder to come back to center as often as possible. To drop the labels that do not serve you. To slow down long enough to recognize that your life is in front of you right now. The opportunity to connect with yourself is available today, and that connection can shape every other part of your life moving forward. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each of the major podcast directories.
