When selling my house in Virginia, I had a strange request from the buyer. They wanted to buy the curtains of my house and wondered if I would sell them. I had never been asked that question before but after talking to my realtor, I figured out a way to do this and make some cash on the side. Listen to what I did when negotiating the sale of my home in this week's episode. Mentioned in this episode: 4 Most Important Rooms to Stage bit.ly/4importantrooms
When it comes time to selling your home, you may wonder if the hassle of doing all the work and then living in it is worth it? It's hard to keep up with the clean house especially if you have little kids (or even big kids) or pets that make it feel impossible to keep up with the "show ready home". Well let's dive into this episode where I talk about whether you should move out of your house to sell it or not. Mentioned in this podcast: 4 most important rooms to stage bit.ly/4importantrooms
Have you heard of slow-decorating? I have not but slow-decorating is another trend that has been coming up. But I find that I've been doing that myself over the years. I take my time to find the pieces that finish the room rather than rush to get the set and be done with it. This can be hard if you have empty rooms or empty walls and you just want to be done. but if you take the time to get the room like you want it, this may take some time. So let's talk about the slow-decorating trend you can use in your new home in this episode. Mentioned in this episode: 4 most important rooms to stage webinar bit.ly/4importantrooms
It's almost spring time as we air this episode of the Creative Home podcast, which means that houses are going to start popping up with for sale signs. But you may wonder, well how much time and effort do these people really put into a home to get it sold and make it look so darn good? In today's episode, we are going to talk about a staging budget and what you can expect to spend when getting your house ready to sell. With all this pandemic craziness, whether you live in the US or Europe, all these COVID rules are wearing us down. If you are at home, you may be thinking you need some "me" time and people are starting to look at ways to make it all about me. So let me share some Pinterest trends because if you didn't know, Pinterest is actually a search engine, not a social platform. People use Pinterest to find pictures, inspiration, recipes, etc to fix a problem. So let me share some of those problems that people have and how you can turn your space into an emotional escape room in your home.  Mentioned in this episode:  Online Decorating Consult  https://bluediamondstaginganddesign.com/online-decorating-consult/ Room by room guide to using crystals - The Style Curator https://stylecurator.com.au/guide-to-using-crystals/ Blog https://bluediamondstaginganddesign.com/welcome-2/

Our living rooms. We either hate em or love em. We have spent a lot of time lately in living rooms binge watching Netflix movies especially during the pandemic. Some of us have even spent more time on the couch since March 2020! A study was done on the most time spent in a room and found that most people spend time in the kitchen, followed by time in the living room (or the room with the TV) and the bedroom. It makes sense. We need to eat, relax and sleep, right? But if you can't relax because your living room doesn't feel comfy, then you start to think, well what can I do to make it more me? And that's what I want to talk to you about. Give you five living room updates you can easily do under $100.  Mentioned in this podcast:  Staging Toolkit https://bluediamondstaginganddesign.com/stagingtoolkit/ Living Room Layouts bit.ly/livingroomlayouts Living Room Staging bundle bit.ly/livingroomstagingbundle "I used Kasia's Creative Home Podcast as my main guide for how to stage our home" If that sounds like you, please consider rating and reviewing my podcast. How do you stage your home when you're empty nesters? There are different reasons to move out from your current home: new job or a growing family. But there are those whose family is getting smaller and I'm talking about empty nesters. Some empty nesters have houses that are just too difficult to maintain and they realize they need to downsize. The empty nesters have transformed their kids rooms into offices and other spaces because the adult kids aren't living there anymore. So when it comes time to sell, how should empty nesters stage their home? Let's get into some things you can do to help sell your home.  Mentioned in this episode:  10 bathroom staging updates  Staging Snapshot https://bluediamondstaginganddesign.com/staging-snapshot/ Facebook https://www.facebook.com/bluediamondstaginganddesign Instagram https://www.instagram.com/bluediamondstaginganddesign/ Rate, Review and Follow on Apple Podcasts "I used Kasia's Creative Home Podcast as my main guide for how to stage our home" If that sounds like you, please consider rating and reviewing my podcast.
