Rainbow Brainskull with Ramin Nazer

Alexis Rakun is an artist and author whose work I’ve been a fan of since the early days of IG. She explores the soul through symbolism, storytelling, and spiritual psychology. Initially drawn to studying psychology, she left her degree behind to pursue art as a means of exploring the inner world. Her creations draw on archetypes, the “wild woman” feminine, and the unseen forces that shape our lives. Part fairy, part cowboy. Her art is an invitation to reconnect with your intuition, recognize your own power, and find magic in the world around you. Jessica Sele is a Los Angeles based comedian whose teeth were cut sharply in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her material ranges from sexuality to substance abuse to living in the end times. Her performances leave audiences to feel that demons have just left their bodies to take the night off. Jessica has a way of talking about dark, gloomy, depressing things that just makes me laugh. I don't think she gets that same benefit from it, but at least the people listening do! She has a great podcast called Late Stage Comedy. She also hosts and produces a weekly show at Fred62 in Los Feliz called EATING OUT. Every Wednesday! Stella Strzyzowska is a visionary artist whose vibrant, intricate works serve as portals into expanded states of consciousness. Drawing inspiration from the imagination, psychedelic experiences, meditation, and personal healing, her art explores themes of transformation, unity, wonder and the divine feminine. Strzyzowska's art is not only a personal expression and outlet for story telling, but also a contribution to the broader movement of consciousness expansion aiming to dissolve the illusion of separateness, being a force of unity. Stella's story is wild. I was a big fan before getting to talk to her, but now I'm a SUPER fan. A reminder of why transformation is far more interesting than always being perfect. For this 100th episode spectacular, I thought it would be fun to do a solo episode where I talk about the history of my Rainbow Brainskull logo. We explore where it first originated, the various projects that happened afterwards, and what the future may hold for it. I still have the original ink pen drawing of it, from way before I decided to make it my Official Important Serious Brand Logo. It's often the non-events that stick with you. The most trivial things sometimes end up actually being the most significant.
