The Union of the Hideously and Improbably Deformed

The older generations of Texans have very thick and beautiful accents. They’ll pronounce “oil” as “ole,” and “orange” as “oinge,” and “night” as “naht.” So when we found an old gardening record called “The Living Soil,” well… you see where this is going. Enjoy!

Over the last twenty years, I’ve conducted many interviews with my father about his life. This is a collection of stories about bears that he’s encountered on his many camping trips. All of the music in this episode is by the magnificent Mitchell Jordan.
