THE WOMEN TALK PODCAST
Our Stories. Our Truths.

Ordinary women. Extraordinary stories. Honest conversations.

Women Talk is a place where women are seen, heard and celebrated—because every woman has a story that matters.

Each episode begins with our guest sharing a captivating true story in her own words. Then Women Talk founder and host Brigitte Lessard joins her for a warm, honest and often humorous conversation about what happened, what she learned and what she wants other women to know.

We laugh. We learn. We connect. And we inspire one another—one story at a time.

Some of our podcast TALKers may also be invited to share their stories onstage at our larger Women Talk Live events.

OUR STORIES MAKE US STRONGER
We believe:
  • Every woman’s story matters.
  • Sharing our stories helps us understand ourselves and one another.
  • Listening to different experiences can widen our perspectives.
  • When women feel seen and heard, communities become stronger.
  • Stories can create connection, courage and meaningful change.

After 40 years of trying to find happiness at the bottom of a bag of potato chips, author Dana Goldstein finally snapped. A lifetime of diets, denial, and bad relationship choices caused her weight to rise and fall, and challenged her confidence. Once she was in her 40s, Dana realized that "HELL, YES!" people liked who she was, that she no longer had to listen to the hurtful words of others and that her weight issues were tied to emotions. What started as an autobiography vilifying those who had tried to crush her dreams or tell her she deserved less in life, turned into an examination of her relationship with food.Dana has some great stories to tell around her experiences with food: her great-grandmother's hidden candy stash; her Italian adventure with ordering off-menu; her successful weight loss while in a horrible relationship; her inability to stop eating her own fresh-baked cookies.https://chicflicks.caPlease LIKE and FOLLOW our podcast on iTunes: http://bit.ly/WomenTalk-iTunesAPPLY TO SHARE YOUR STORY ON OUR PODCAST AT: WWW.WOMENTALK.CA/PODCAST_______________________________________________________ABOUT WOMEN TALKWomen Talk is where ordinary women share extraordinary true stories. We laugh.
