"It’s the idea that how you’re together matters far more than what you’re doing together. It’s this “how” that determines whether the relationship is going to thrive." —Michael Fulwiler of The Gottman Institute
So how do good relationships work? How important are compatible relationships to our life?
Falling in love can lead to a relationship, but what is needed for it to truly last? Compatibility. If two entities align: schedules, beliefs, age, culture, work ethic, the assumption is often that a match has been made. Compatibility is the synchronization of different values between partners; It is how you get along as a couple - moving, loving, and growing in harmony. Understanding your role in someone else's life is extremely important and may look and feel different to each of you. It's how one lives their life, exists, and interacts with others that will ultimately determine the quality of their life and thus the quality of their relationships.
In this episode we dive into the Importance of finding a compatible mate that will go the distance with you; How to resolve conflict; and the Skills needed to manage day to day life and what an excellent day looks like. My next guest will help guide you through relationship dynamics, conflict resolution, and managing day to day life.

Do what brings you joy, and your purpose will unfold.-Iyanla Vanzant
What brings you joy? What makes you happy in your heart? What makes you happy in your soul? These are the questions that propelled me on my personal journey to discover my True Self. I wanted to align with my higher self to not only bring more joy and peace to my life but to also live congruently with my soul.
Taking time to connect with your soul and finding your true purpose takes work and lucky for you my next guest has created a program to help you find your soul's true expression so you can start living the life of your dreams in just four weeks. Now the four weeks part may sound surprising but I'm here to tell you, you can do it, but it does not come without putting in the work. You hear me say all the time, "there's no magic pill." Well, a more fitting quote is "None of the secrets of success will work unless you do." If you want to be successful, set yourself up for success. Find a way to hold yourself accountable. Discovering what brings you joy will lead you to discovering your soul's true expression. It all takes time, energy, and work, but I promise you the amount of joy and love waiting for you as you carry out the life you were meant to live is worth every second spent on yourself.

Along the way, as a teacher and student of Bhakti Yoga, constant travel and so many events, workshops, series, Kirtan events, and Yoga Music Festivals, she craved stability, simplicity, and clarity.
Inspired through her studies, travel, events, and yoga music festivals, Noelle desired to create a program which could serve more people from anywhere in the world and have a greater impact than one-offs, and she really wanted to be more focused on her method of service which focused on practices that connect us more deeply with our heart and each other through the ancient wisdom and teachings of Yoga. From this calling, she created Soul Alchemy: an online group and private coaching program helping people discover and clarify their Soul’s true expression, so they can confidently share their authentic vision with the world and live the life of their dreams in just 4 weeks. "Now what?!" We all have had at least one "now what..." moment in life. A loss of identity, a breakup, loss of a loved one, ending of a career or competitive sport, finishing school, etc. Frances Angeline Rowe joins the podcast to discuss her "now what..." moment and her new book, Pause, Reset, and Recharge, which reflects her journey in recovery and self work. Perhaps you are experiencing a "now what" moment right now. No matter where you are in your journey there are so many great topics in this episode that I think you will love. As a new year approaches you may be thinking about setting intentions and aligning more with your true self. If that's the case my hope is that you will walk away from this podcast recharged and ready to let go, accept who you are, and follow your heart. You have heard me talk about the importance of self care and there's no better time to start taking care of yourself than right now.

Most Americans Live to Work whereas most Europeans Work to Live. Are you someone who loves their job and feels rewarded? According to the 2017 Gallup Poll, 70% of employees in today’s workforce are not engaged at work, meaning they are not psychologically committed to their jobs, happy in the workplace and likely to be making positive contributions to their organizations. Chances are, you are or at some point will be part of the 70% of employees who are disengaged at work, drawing a paycheck and going home. Or maybe part of the 51% of employees actively looking for another job. If you are an avid listener of this podcast you have met plenty of people who genuinely love what they do for work and feel fulfilled doing it.
What do people really desire in order to be happy? The answer will obviously vary from person to person. Rob researched Desires of People, specifically soldiers and employees. He found everyone has value and potential. As a brigade leader he was charged with preparing men and women for combat and remembered what they desired to be at their very best. Rob had more than 70 subordinate organizational leaders serving under him in his two-year tenure in brigade command, each with different desires. Rob's personal study resulted in a short desires collection or "List of Six" that he uses as a vehicle dashboard to examine his own organization and people, and offers them as a way for you to implement them in your own ogranization. The List of Six are: Fulfillment, Autonomy, Praise & Recognition, Safety, Discipline, and Growth.
In this podcast we break down a few of the desires on the List of Six and discuss how you can start applying them, build better relationships, and create better leaders in your own organization. We also discuss how to attract and keep employees who subscribe to company values and culture.
After serving 27 years in the Army, Colonel Rob Campbell retired to the North Carolina coast and wrote a book called, It's Personal not Personnel. This book was inspired by his position in the Army and he applies leadership principles from his brigade experiences by taking a more personal approach in the workplace. Rob uses a people centric approach in helping organizations and businesses invest in their people, achieve better results and attract happier employees.

Many people think of physical therapy, or PT, as "rehab", or something you need after surgery or an injury. There are many misconceptions when it comes to PT like you need a referral to see a physical therapist, or it's only appropriate for people who have had surgery or seriously injured themselves, or physical therapy is only exercise based. I admit, before meeting Ryan I had the misconception that physical therapy doesn't work because it hadn't worked for me in the past.
Ryan Godfrey with Change the Game Physical Therapy is literally changing the game when it comes to managing pain, healing injuries, and getting people back to doing what they love. Ryan believes PT empowers individuals to take a pro-active approach to their health. He also believes Physical Therapists should be seen as the experts in musculoskeletal health, providing clients with a holistic alternative to medications, injections and surgery. Physical Therapists can also educate clients on the importance of lifestyle modifications, like nutrition, exercise, and sleep, to aid in rehab and athletic performance.
It is clear when listening to this interview that Ryan truly loves what he does but that wasn't always the case. Ryan was working in a traditional clinic setting where his job was to see as many patients as possible in a day. However, Ryan wanted to work with patients on a deeper level, and have one on one time with each individual client. He wanted an opportunity to educate them on their injury, have adequate time for treatment and educate them on home exercises and lifestyle modifications to help them heal long term. In the traditional clinic setting, Ryan's focus was on quantity of patients not quality. His job was to document and move on. The clinic didn't care about quality as long as volume was high. Ryan had no real motivation to increase his productivity nor did he receive any praise or recognition for his work. The effort level to get clients better was low because there wasn't enough time to spend with each person. Ultimately led him feeling that he wasn't helping people improve in timely manner and he wasn't able to follow his passion which is to get them back to the activity or sport they were doing before.
As an athlete I recently found myself dealing with a chronic issue that no amount of band-aid fixes could help. I had tried it all: massage, cupping, topicals, foam rolling, stretches, chiropractic care; all to no avail. I thought this was something I was going to have to "deal" with the rest of my life. I had heard about dry needling through my CrossFit Coach, Marissa, and I admit when I first heard the word needle, I was apprehensive. After doing research and talking to my extremely knowledgeable chiropractor, Dr. Dave Russ, I finally made the appointment to see Ryan. And I'm so glad I did.
Listen to this podcast to hear my story of healing, my journey of how I got better, and how Ryan's journey has changed from unhappy employee to happy entrepreneur.

Nowadays parents are clamoring to put their kids in the best sports programs, like travel baseball. Travel baseball is part of an $8 billion industry known as travel youth sports, where you have to pay to play. Youth sports has become a money making machine and it's no surprise there has been an 8% drop in the last decade on the number of kids who play competitive sports because of the increased costs. Rec leagues are dwindling and in it's place professional grade fields are being built so kids can play more competitively.
Clary Baseball started in 2010 and offers player development baseball instruction and parent consultations. Casey Clary works with baseball players (and their parents) between the ages of 10 and 18 who are looking to get better and improve their skills. The sport of Baseball is always changing and in order to keep up with the competition players have to work on their skills, like footwork, hand eye coordination, and strength + conditioning. Casey found that through his 9 years of working with parents the question he was asked most often was, "is my kid good enough?" This question thrusted Casey on a journey to give parents as much information as possible about the world of baseball through his book: Baseball Parents: Is your kid good enough?.
Casey's love for baseball started at age 5 and he played all the way through high school. After his senior year he received a scholarship to a division 2 college, in a small town in North Carolina. After his college senior year he signed as a free agent with a Minor League team out of Canada, called the Winnipeg Goldeyes. He went on to play 4 more years signing with 3 other teams.
Casey doesn’t have many regrets, other than not staying back on the slider. He says, "the minor leagues are a lot of fun but they are also painful. It’s a cut-throat industry and everyone is a “sprained ankle” away from getting released. There are long bus rides and long flights that leave at 5:30 in the morning!" He didn’t make a million bucks but he got paid to play baseball! He says he learned a lot and he learned to listen! Casey's rookie year of pro-ball was the most challenging. He was good in college and everyone is good in the pros! He had to make adjustments and make them quick. He had to retain information and adapt daily. He loved it!
Casey is passionate about baseball and wants to share that passion with others. He wants to help other kids succeed and follow their dreams and he wants to help the parents understand what it takes to get their kids there. Casey says, "if there’s anything I can’t over teach it's work ethic! If you want to get paid to play this game, you have to work at it. DAILY!"
