In the 80s and 90s; Nigeria was a dominant force in African Athletics especially in the sprint event with great potential on the world stage. In this episode, I have Ace Sports Journalist, Olawale Adigun to discuss recent happenings in the Nigerian Sports scene. We, however, discussed the Basketball Africa League and what it promises to offer to Nigeria and Africa as a whole.  We discussed the financial benefits, the opportunities or otherwise, it offers to Africa's young talents and Why it is Africa's time to step into the limelight. The conversation got a little heated as Queen made a case for Port Harcourt as a potential host city as I was worried about the state of the facilities in the Stadia in Lagos.

All over the world, Stadium naming rights continues to be a major source of funding revenue across the sporting sphere. However, in Nigeria; we are still stuck to the time-honored tradition of naming such edifices after dead politicians and what have you; instead of joining the trend that seeks to develop the industry across all spheres. In this episode, I am joined by a Sports Lawyer, Steve Nwabueze to discuss the opportunities available to us as a country and what needs to be done to embrace this approach with respect to Stadia in Nigeria.
Football comprises of a wide value chain, across the world this is well exploited to develop the industry in totality. In Nigeria, it is tough to invest in even more structured industries not to talk of a Football or Sports industry that lacks the necessary structure. If our Sports industry is well structured it can lead to the creation of jobs, development across the socio-economic landscape as well as Nation Building. On this episode of 90 and a little extra, Modo Victor; a renowned Photo and Communication Specialist shares his experiences investing in Football on the domestic scene, lessons learnt and suggestions for the authorities & governing bodies. The Nigerian Domestic Football scene continues to go on a downward spiral, particularly because regulations are not followed and nobody is responsible or held responsible for anything. In this episode, I am joined by Sports Lawyer, Tosin Akinyemi to review the LMC NPFL Statutes and Regulations. This review will be in two parts; we look at specific sections of the regulations with a view of highlighting where the authorities can do better, take responsibility for their actions,  uphold the statues and build a foundation that can lead to the development of a robust domestic football scene we can all be proud of.
