Shutter Actuation Count

Why Should Photographers Care About Shutter Count? Shutter count, more specifically the shutter actuation count, is something that I think every photographer should know about.  Now this isn’t something that will make you a better photographer.  It won’t improve your image quality.  So maybe some of you won’t find this episode very interesting, but I hope you will hear me ... Our Creative Spaces

This topic has really been on my mind recently as I’m in the final stages of building my home office from scratch. I literally mean, there was nothing, but a garage shell. I put up three walls, a raised subfloor on the concrete floor, the ceiling and then ran all the electrical etc. It’s small, but it’s a beautiful space ... The Master Photography Facebook group has had a lot of questions posted recently about how photographers go about pricing and licensing their photos.  Most have never done this before. Photographers should provide single-use, limited printing size ... The post How To Price and License Your Photos appeared first on Master Photography Podcast.

4xFourtography

On film my keeper rate is very high, probably 75%-90% per roll. Because of that my keeper rate is climbing because my film habits (paying huge amounts of attention to the composition) are translating over instead of me cranking out 3-5 shots per "pose" like I used to.

I believe these two guys have figured out how to teach photography to all levels of experience. I love watching, reading and listing to podcasts about photography, but I found this podcast today and can not stop listening! I have learned more in a couple of hours than I have learned in months. Amazing job!

I love the way Dustin and Jim teach. They are competent, professional photographers who seem to be humble, "normal" guys who just want to share their love of the art. If I have a question about photography, these guys are the first place I go to look for answers because they talk in a way a learning photographer can understand i.e. not throwing out technical terms that only a long term photographer can understand. Don't get me wrong, they don't dumb it down, but have made photography available to everyone.
