Hello and welcome back to The Poeticast, this week we are joined by Alessio Greco, this being his second appearance on the podcast the first being 6 years ago now and we are delighted to have him back on the show! We are joined this week by Alessio Greco, an artist making waves in his native Italy and beyond as he builds his musical portfolio and reputation. Alessio Greco is a musician, live performer, producer and DJ. His musical career began in 2001 when he started playing the drums in a punk/hardcore band. After they broke up, he experimented with electronic music and more particularly ambient and drone. Around the same time he studied electronic music composition at the Music Academy "O. Respighi" in Latina. Over the next few years he moved into IDM and then eventually found Techno music, falling in love with it. In fact his style is a mix of deep, dark techno and ambient music. Hello and welcome back to The Poeticast, this week we are in the company of a true great of not just the Scandinavian Electronic scene but globally aswell. @dj-wank is in control of the show and presents us with some truly wall trembling Techno for Episode 262! Spinning techno vinyl for over 2 decades has brought bookings in most of northern Europe. In the mid 90’s, start 2000 he had a major role in organizing techno events and bringing it to the legendary music venue Elværket in Helsingør DK, where he originally is from. In 2002 he decided to move to Sweden and also started producing music on his own leading to many releases on different labels. In recent years he has found a home base at the German label Rotraum Music, and also has regular releases on Acidworx. The last couple of years has been very busy with releases on Hydraulix Records, Odd Recordings, GND Records, Biotech Recordings, Dolma Red, Flatlife Records & Rawthing, to name a few. His tracks has been played and charted by such names as Dave the Drummer, Thomas Schumacher (Drumcode Radioshow), Ben Sims (RunitRed), S-File (The S-files) and DJ Rush among others. He also recently had the pleasure to play in UK at Jaded Afterhours (Corsica Studios). The style both as a deejay and producer is usually a mixture of good old 303 acid and straight forward driving techno. Hello and welcome back to The Poeticast, we return with a special show this week as we are joined by legendary Techno artist Echobeat, as he gifts us a mix of all of his own fine work in the studio. Echobeat is DJ/Producer with a huge passion for techno music. As a student in the early 90's, he was a big part of the techno movement that began taking it first steps in the Lisbon music scene performing DJ sets in the main nightclubs. For professional reasons he stopped performing as a DJ for almost 20 years, always maintaining his connection with the music. In 2012 his Techno interest awoke from hibernation, a result was his first EP RE-INVENTING TECHNO on Rote Recordings. His Techno goes from dark and industrial to deep and Techy, infused with rich melodies, thick chunky beats and great basslines. He has been pretty prolific in the studio in recent times and the result is this mix! Enjoy.
