2018 is no more, and here to recap the top news (memes, really) is Kris Carrasco, returning from episode 1! Along for the ride is Karla Enriquez and Sebastian Echeverry. Let's dive into the magic of thick-neck guy, "what if I'm a monster," sex robots and more in this season finale!  Then, Denny calls up Gustavo Lopez! Rumors of his death were exaggerated. Gus talks about his three-month tenure so far in Eugene, Oregon, the stories of weirdos he's encountered, and his experience with Fornite. This one's a doozie!  Subscribe to the Mr. Denny Podcast Network on iTunes and Spotify. Visit mrdenny.podbean.com, the home of all network shows. "Is this your beach ball, Charlie Brown?" These are the debut words of the iconic character Franklin, introduced to the Peanuts comic strip in 1968. Franklin's debut proved to be a significant step in fiction, as he was one of the first African-American characters in pop culture during the Civil Rights Movement.  Denny Cristales, managing editor of the Signal Tribune, spoke to Sebastian Echeverry, production manager, about his Nov. 23 story featuring Harriet Glickman, who thought of the idea of Franklin.   The Byline is a show that gives writers of the Signal Tribune newspaper an opportunity to provide background information about the stories they write. Sebastian Echeverry's story can be found here: https://signaltribunenewspaper.com/39857/news/is-this-your-beach-ball-charlie-brown/
Sebastian Echeverry, production manager of the Signal Tribune newspaper, talks to Cory Bilicko, staff writer, about how he kept his emotions neutral while writing about Joseluis Cruz, Jr.    Cruz was shot and killed in Long Beach in 2012. His family donated his organs to four individuals, who now live on. Cruz's memory will be honored in January during the 130th Rose Parade in Pasadena with a float.    The Byline is a show that gives writers of the Signal Tribune newspaper an opportunity to provide background information about the stories they write.   The full story can be found at https://signaltribunenewspaper.com/39795/news/rose-parade-float-to-honor-life-of-local-organ-donor/. Taylor Casas and Cynthia Price are just a couple of bossy flyers looking to share their creative acrobatic style with the world. Traveling throughout the United Kingdom and Europe, Taylor and Cynthia have toured their performances of Flight and Elements, two plays directed by Ezra LeBank that rely on telling a narrative based on acrobatic movements and no dialogue.  Taylor and Cynthia are now gearing up for Terms & Conditions, a comedy that will serve as an exagerrated version of their friendship and relationship as roomates. Information about the show, upcoming performances and a link to their kickstarter can be found at bossyflyer.com and kickstarter.com/projects/bossyflyer/send-terms-and-conditions-an-acrobatic-comedy-to-c?ref=project_share. The early morning of May 5, NASA launched a rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base as part of its InSight project. In six months, InSight will reach Mars to study the planet. My longtime friend Jaime joined me at Coffee Bean on May 14 to talk about his experience photographing the launch as part of the NASA Social crew. He also went into detail about a recent discovery of Jupiter’s moon Europa and his August departure to Wisconsin for school. Originally recorded April 2018   Breaking News: Amanda Recio‘s got new ink! And, it’s of the Guernica, Pablo Picasso’s famed oil painting inspired by the Spanish Civil War.   In this episode of the Mr. Denny Podcast taped at Caffé Bene in Long Beach — in the midst of whirring blenders and preteens drinking and laughing obnoxiously, as I stubbornly commit to mastering the art of mobile podcasting and background noise — Recio opens up about her humid experience in a Japanese bath house and getting lost, wanting to drive a motorcycle, her questionable Spanish skills, and her next travel plans.
Originally recorded in February 2018  IT’S BACK! Recorded at Steelcraft, the Mr. Denny Podcast comes to you with special guest Kristopher Carrasco — Kris with a K himself! Kris and I get to the “goo” about social media marketing and promotion, marijuana for dummies and the ending of Dragonball Super. – Earphones or AUX recommended –
