This week on the cobbles, the Mal storyline kicked up a gear as Bernie’s unwanted admirer crossed the line from irritating nuisance to full-on physcho stalker – only to end up in intensive care after a brutal attack by an unknown assailant. In true Weatherfield fashion, Bernie is wrongfully arrested, though it's soon revealed that that it was Kit who bonked him on the head. With a tenacious colleague sniffing around the case, could DC Green’s career now be hanging in the balance? Elsewhere on the street, a little more of Jodie's mysterious past comes to light when a young girl who she seemingly nannied for once show up to meet her - plus we see another item added to her secret box of trinkets... Meanwhile, Steve learns that his dad has been taken into hospital, George worries that a string of blunders at the undertaker’s could damage the business’s reputation, and the spark between Ollie and Lauren is swiftly extinguished following an intervention from Maggie. Up next on the podcast, it's The Kabin, and we weigh in on some candid comments from Maureen Lipman and Sally Ann Matthews about the state of the show at the moment, all of which is pretty timely in the wake of Iain MacLeod's interview last week! We recently headed up north for another Corrie location hunt, ticking off several spots that were completely new to us. First up was The Saddleworth Hotel, seen earlier this year as the setting for Debbie’s ill-fated wedding, followed by a visit to Bolton’s Old Magistrates’ Court – a familiar backdrop for some of Coronation Street’s most explosive trials in recent years. While we were there, we also caught three former Coronation Street stars on stage at the Octagon Theatre, explored the latest additions to the MediaCity tour, and tracked down a couple of other locations that have popped up in smaller scenes over the years. It was a whirlwind trip full of cobbles-related goodness, and in this episode we share all the highlights - the sights, the surprises and, of course, plenty of Corrie chat along the way! This week saw the much anticipated flash-forward episode of Corrie, which gave us a sneak peek into the future and Betsy's discovery of a dead body. Exactly who is the victim, though, and who could be responsible for causing their untimely demise? Also this week, Carl reveals to Ronnie the truth about his newly discovered relationship with Debbie, and we learn about his plans to burn down the hotel for the insurance money too - will Debbie realise what he’s really capable of before it’s too late? Elsewhere on the cobbles, Sam turns amateur detective in a bid to catch Megan and Will out, Lily starts her paper round at The Kabin, and Maggie grows uneasy over Ben’s budding friendship with Steve. Corrie certainly started this week with a bang, and it's one of those episodes where we wanted to get our reaction to it out there straight away! So as long as you've seen it too (and you really, really should be before you listen to this!), here are our immediate thoughts about the episode and what we think it might mean for the next few months on the cobbles!

On our latest podcast, we discuss the episodes of Coronation Street shown between the 9th and the 13th February (Episodes #11,790 - 11,794) This week, we meet Jodie and Shona's dad, Doug, though he's confined to his bed and certainly not in a good state of mind - though he's still lucid enough to know his youngest daughter's a wrong 'un. We're loving the mystery around this family, and Jodie's curious box of knickknacks has us wondering all sorts about what she's been up to! Also this week, Sam gets in touch with the Weatherfield drugs wizard when he hears that Ritalin can be used as a study aid - but is this a little too out of character for him? Also this week, Theo returns from his mum's, Mal proves himself to a a definite stalkery weirdo, and Debbie is assigned a prison buddy - and it's  someone we were very happy to see again! As much as we wanted to carry on with the podcast after this and discuss the cancellation of the BSAs, unfortunately Michael wasn't feeling too well at all, so we called it a day after Street Talk - so you'll just have to wait a little longer to hear our thoughts on the British Soap Awards' cancellation!

Who doesn't love a good moan, eh? As much as we adore Corrie, there's always something about the programme that grinds our gears, has us rolling our eyes, and gets us yelling "Bobbins!" at our screen from time to time! The Bobbins Awards are a firm fixture in our podcasting calendar - our annual chance to get a few gripes off our chests and revisit some of the less-than-stellar moments from the past year. Who had the most rubbish return? Which newcomer do we just want to do one? And who were the mardiest mare and dirtiest dog on the cobbles? On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Corrie shown between the 2nd and the 6th February (Episodes #11,787 - 11,789). Thanks to a couple of sporting events on Tuesday and Thursday, this week's helping of Coronation Street was almost as short as Kevin's temper. However, with Wednesday's Webster-focused episode featuring the big reveal to Carl that Debbie is actually his mum, there was still plenty for us to discuss! The pair of us actually had quite different opinions on that episode too, so it was pretty fun debating what did and didn't work for us! On our latest podcast, we take a look at the episodes of Coronation Street shown between the 26th and the 30th January 2026 (Episodes #11,782 - 11,786). Definitely a bit of a divisive week, this one, with opinions all over the place online about Billy's funeral and Bernie's subsequent getting off her cake, as she put it. Even the pair of us felt quite differently to each other about how Wednesday's episode went down, with Gemma praising the writing and direction whilst Michael didn't think it quite did enough to honour Billy's time in the show amongst the Carl vs Theo drama. Speaking of which, we chat for quite a bit this week about who we'd prefer to ultimately see come on top there, and how much Theo is actually in control of what he's doing. One thing we both agreed on, though - which seemingly a  sizeable chunk of Corrie fans online disagreed with - was that Thursday's Bernie-centric saga was fantastic, plus we were both very chuffed to see Sam back on centre stage on Monday's episode - and think that Megan will prove to be quite a force for him to reckon with! On our latest podcast, we have a chat about the episodes of Coronation Street shown between the 12th and the 16th January (Episodes #11,773 - 11,776). It's been the theory on everyone's lips for a few months now, but this week, it was finally revealed that Debbie is indeed Carl's mother and not his sister, as we had previously believed. Will this be a secret she takes to her grave, or is it only a matter of time before it all comes out - and does it change how we think of her and Bill Webster having lied about Carl's parentage all these years? Not only that, but does it really mean she should be taking the rap for him when it comes to Billy's death (especially when we know that John Sugden and Theo are much more to blame than either Debbie or Carl!)? Also this week, Daniel gets a shock when he thinks that he's about to become a dad again, Jodie gets her feet well under the table at Number 8, and we say bye bye to Becky, who's sentenced to twelve years in prison - but there are still more than a few questions we want answers to with this story! Earlier this evening, Coronation Street and Emmerdale fans across the UK were united in anticipation as the ultimate soap crossover finally exploded onto our screens. Two worlds collided in a spectacular stunt that saw Billy tragically meet his maker (and, we assume, enjoy a heavenly rave-up with Paul), while Carl’s fate - and the survival of Shona’s baby - remain agonisingly up in the air. There was absolutely no chance we were waiting until the weekend to unpack this one, so here are our immediate reactions: what we loved, what we might have liked to have seen but didn't, and just what on earth we think might happen next after one of the most talked about nights in soap for years.

On this episode of the podcast, we chat about what went on in Corrie between the 29th December and the 2nd January (Episodes #11,759 - 11,766). We're only days away from the big Corriedale crossover now, and this week's trip to Weatherfield saw some of the biggest stories of the year getting all their ducks in a row before whatever fate may befall them on Monday night. Abi's rumbled Carl's plan to do a midnight flit to Dusseldorf while Kev's discovered his involvement in Tyrone's accident, Billy's seen footage showing the full extent of Theo's abuse towards Todd, and the Swains are - finally - set to jet off to Spain - but what has Becky done to Carla? We had an awful lot to chat about all this in the podcast, and a lot to say about how much we adored Debbie's wedding too - what a start to 2026! Unfortunately, Gemma was feeling very under the weather during the recording, so as soon as Street Talk was over, we decided to call it a day there, but there's still plenty of episode before that for you to enjoy!

Another year has come to an end, which means the Conversation Street Awards are back to celebrate the very best that Corrie had to offer in 2025! We've counted all your votes, and in this episode, we share who's been crowned the Top Lad and Lass, which baddie is the year's most dastardly Wrong 'Un which storyline has won the coveted That's Champion Award and more! On our festive edition of the podcast, we have a good old chat about Christmas week in Weatherfield, covering the episodes of Corrie shown between the 22nd and the 26th December (Episodes #11,753 - 11,758). Christmas time is here, and you know what? It just wouldn't be the same without erratic broadcast schedules, cheesy opening music montages and a big old dollop of misery splatting down onto pretty much everyone unfortunate enough to live on Coronation Street. This year saw the showrunners putting most of their rotten eggs in the Driscolls' basket, with a family meal for the Street's newest residents turning pungent thanks to the mean-spirited machinations of manipulative Maggie. Meanwhile, Carla's having a pretty rubbish Christmas too after being kidnapped by Becky, who takes the opportunity to seduce Lisa into bed in her partner's absence - is it all over for Swarla? Also this week, Abi makes a shocking discovery about Carl and James, Sally gives Joanine and Shanice a Christmas Eve to remember and the Platts get a festive message from Gail. Unsurprisingly, there's not really been anything worth reporting on in terms of Corrie news this week, but we've still had plenty of feedback from listeners, so we round off the podcast with that.
