Re-Issue ep from 4th Feb 2020 -  Today on the Toy Power Podcast, we welcome another international guest all the way from Canada, Mr Colin Betts! While he's a Patreon and passionate toy collector he also delves into a oft-forgotten world of Toy Catalogues. But these aren't the small paper ones you get with your toys, these are big retail tomes sent by Hasbro, Mattel etc to help sell their wares in a time before PDFs! Colin gives us the history, some wonderful stories and tricks of the trade when it comes to these important historical documents. Some might be cut-out, some might be smelly or eve tattoo'd but they all form a wonderful tapestry of the toys we love - and even the toys that never were! Oh what could have been.... Colin then puts on his economics hat with a 3min break down of what makes the toy industry great and bad that will melt your face! This Week on the Toy Power Podcast; we have a few scheduling conflicts, so it's just Ben & Scot in the studio; with the always entertaining Mr. Davey Damaged joining us as well!!  Kicking things into gear, we discuss the latest News that is hitting our radar.  With a heart-felt tribute to some of the recent passings; we reflect on what some of these larger than life people have done; & how each of them will be missed.  Then we chat towards the very lack-luster reveal of King Hiss from the MOTU Chronicles line.  Peacemaker from Mezco 1:12 is arguably the definitive Toy version of this character we will likely ever get!  McFarlane wrap things up with their Wave 16 of DC Super Powers - with an interesting line-up of Characters.  But with this being the finale; who are we missing from this overall toy line-up?  PlayStation One are getting the Lego treatment; which honestly looks great; but what is with their Easter Egg game choices?!  Then we pivot into a general chat towards Latest Scores & then followed up with Reading / Playing / Watching.  An overall fun episode - if not for Ben continually tripping over his sentences!   Davey plugged the New Australiana Book by: Fridalasvegas -Australianarama - A Campendium Of Kitsch - an awesome history of what makes Australia so unique!!
