Sometimes ADR is just bleeps, bumps, pows, and moans. Other times there is an interesting commentary and slap-stick humor. The Deluise brothers do just that in this episode for sure.
More punch-ins and looping going on here. This time Richard takes in Don Franklin and Kathy Evison one at a time. Sweet and easy...
Micheal Ironside delivers the goods as always in that deep baritone voice. He chats and drops some bombs in between takes about a certain fellow actor that just signed on to 10 episodes. ADR director Richard Achor is at the helm once again. It's a pleasant ride, so hold onto your sea suit straps and hit the poop deck.
This is a series of voice-over DAT punch-ins for ADR It is as raw as it gets, sometimes fun, sometimes dumb, and even a bit crude at times too.
ADR audio punch-in dump with banter from Sea Quest season 2 or 3 in Orlando. This tape was a backup tape for punching in audio for the show.
It's not very often you come across someone who has been actively producing music for 20+ years while breaking ground as a Cancer Research Scientist. He's got a new promising treatment as well as a few new Indie/Math Rock albums. Sit back as we listen to some tracks and catch up with his doings…

What we see and here is not only a gift from Ian via Ink 19. If is a fine example of early 90's Grunge. Proof that Grunge was pretty much everywhere at the time. I had the pleasure to see this Orlando based band play a few times. They always had great musicianship and good hair.

The Orlando Music History Group on Facebook has been blowing up lately. So much I thought it might be time to play this cassette. A lot of the bands on this cassette have been piping in and sharing old stories, posters, and merch. It has been very entertaining to say the least.
This is side A of a mix tape of Florida bands. Most of whom were from the Orlando area. It is a good representation of the Hardcore (and some of the Metalcore) community during the early 90's. The cassette was made by Andrew Chadwick of Gainesville for Ian Koss of Ink 19 / WFIT. It is made up of demos and 7"s and is very lo-fi because of it's vintage. Thank to Ian for sending it in!

I learned Shut Up, who Ralph Newman was, and how-to Behead Myself all in one night. This is part 2 of the episode with the legendary Athens, GA band Five Eight. I talked with singer/songwriter/guitar player Mike Mantione after a show. He talked about the stories behind a few key songs. I meander through the bands discography and play a few key tracks. It's another hour plus episode full of rare tracks lo-fi and hi-fi.

Back in March of this year (2014). I met up with drummer Patrick Ferguson of the Athens band Five Eight. We talked about the Athens music scene, a zine he did, and a lot about Five Eight. Sit back and listen to some rare tracks as well as some of the classics from a fans perspective. This is Pt 1 of the series.
Since the recording of this episode, The Weirdo Remix will be released on Chicken Ranch Records (Austin TX) in 2015. Way back in 1995 a band from Vero Beach, FL put out a cassette of their pop punk band. The band's name was Discount. The cassette was Mom Lied to Me! and it helped the band catch on and gain popularity. As they did..more and more and more! Alison Mosshart and more! It's time to sit back and listen to a side of an album. This time it's from the collection of cartoonist Charles Treadwell (ep. 4 and 13). St John Green (self titled LP) is the pick of the evening. It's a genuine nugget from 1960's psychedelic culture. Host: Adriaan MolDontfreakzine@gmail.comDontfreak.tumblr.com

Do you like a good prank call? Do you remember the time when one could make a prank phone call? If you do let's take a ride back to the mid-80's with this compilation cassette of prank phone calls from the legendary Mark Knoplfer, Pranks for the Memories, and The Pittsburgh Calls. We'll play some excerpts from a tape called OUT OF MIND (somewhere in space a all-star crank call compilation tape). It is wise-ass humor in it's truest and rawest form. It is also a great example of good old fashioned pre-internet underground tape trading. It's not all just punk rock and metal around here. Sometimes just a little R-n-R that will do. If you are a Rush nerd you'll love this bootleg cassette from the 1980 Permanent Waves tour. You'll also appreciate the TV interview. Geddy mentions his production credit for an album called No Static by fellow Canadian band, Wireless. We'll play a few tracks of of that release. So sit back and Don't Freak!

28th Years ago a tongue-in-cheek heavy metal band called Dead Serios hit the stage for the first time in Melbourne, FL. They went at it for many years fronted by Dead Lee Serios (aka Christopher Long). Along the way approximately 12 albums were released on his DIY label Long Song Records. Sit back and have a cup of coffee with Christopher as he talks about the early days of the band. As well as his days after as a published Author and plenty of other stuff too.
