We’ve been fed a huge lie — that the stuff in our storage rooms or storage units is worth money. It’s not! The truth is, your “storage treasures” are probably costing you thousands of dollars and stealing valuable space in your home. I’m sharing my own story of how I turned a cluttered storage room into a home office, added $15,000 of value to my house, and never missed a single thing I let go of.
You’ll learn how to figure out what your storage is really costing you, the mindset traps that keep us holding on to stuff “just in case,” and my simple decluttering rules to help you decide what’s actually worth keeping. I also talk about why “preservation becomes paralysis” — and how freeing yourself from storage clutter can literally give you more time, money, and peace of mind.

I’m sitting down with Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith, physician, researcher, and author of Sacred Rest, to talk about the 7 different types of rest — and why getting more sleep isn’t the real solution to burnout.
Dr. Saundra explains how true rest goes beyond naps or vacations — it’s about recharging the areas where your energy is being drained: mentally, emotionally, socially, creatively, and more. If you’ve been pushing yourself nonstop, this conversation will help you understand why rest isn’t lazy — it’s powerful. You’ll walk away knowing exactly what kind of rest you’re missing and how to get it.
✨ We talk about:
The 7 types of rest — and how to tell which one you need most
The real signs of burnout (and why sleep alone won’t fix it)
The difference between “fake rest” and restorative rest
How to build a healthy rest ethic without losing your drive
Simple ways to recharge your mind and body in five minutes or less

Ever feel like your stuff is running your life instead of the other way around? Like no matter how much you declutter, your home still feels overwhelming — and every “maybe someday” pile just keeps growing?
In this episode, I sit down with decluttering coach and creator of Downsize Upgrade, Abigail Roe, to talk about why letting go isn’t just about tough love or sentimentality — it’s about logic, systems, and learning to stop overthinking your stuff.
Abigail shares her refreshingly practical approach to simplifying, from her “Wheel of Decluttering” challenge to her F.I.V.E. method for curating clothes. She brings equal parts truth bombs and silly jingles (yes, really!) to make the process not only doable but fun.
Whether you’re drowning in clothes that don’t fit, sentimental keepsakes, or just way too many organizing containers — this conversation will leave you motivated, clear-headed, and ready to finally make space for joy and productivity.
✨ We talk about:
Why “being sentimental” often masks a struggle to let go
The F.I.V.E. method for deciding what clothes deserve space in your closet
How curating as you go makes decluttering easier (and less emotional)
The genius behind the Wheel of Decluttering — and why you’ll want to spin it
How to stop impulse buying before it fills your home again
Why joy plus productivity is the real secret to lasting change

In today’s episode, I’m talking with Mimi Bouchard about something so much bigger than just organizing your home — we’re talking about organizing your life. If you’ve ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or trapped in negative self-talk, this conversation is for you.
I’ll be honest, “manifestation” always sounded a little too magical to me, but what Mimi shares is real, practical, and life-changing. It’s not about chanting or meditating in silence — it’s about shifting the way you speak to yourself, creating clarity about who you want to be, and stepping into that version of yourself right now.
Mimi shares her simple two-step formula for transformation — clarity and becoming — and how you can rewire your self-image so success and confidence feel natural instead of impossible. We’ll talk about habit stacking, positive self-talk, and why your future self is waiting for you to show up today.
If you’re tired of waiting for “someday” to finally feel proud of yourself and your life, this episode will inspire you to stop holding back and start becoming who you were always meant to be.

In this episode, I had the absolute pleasure of chatting with Carrie Locklyn—a woman whose journey is as inspiring as it is entertaining. From her early days as a backup dancer for Mariah Carey (yes, you heard that right!) to touring the world with iconic stars, Carrie’s story is one of fearless reinvention. I was blown away as she shared how she moved from the dance floor to embracing the art of organization, transitioning into an HGTV star and mastering the craft of interior design.
We dove into the real, unglamorous side of life on TV—talking about everything from lugging boxes in messy hotel rooms to finding beauty in the chaos of decluttering. Carrie’s down-to-earth approach, her knack for mixing humor with practical advice, and the way she champions taking risks, even if it means failing spectacularly, truly resonated with me. I was especially struck by how she balances the art and science of organizing—turning everyday clutter into a canvas for a soulful, personal space.
Tune in for a spirited conversation packed with laughter, tough truths, and a whole host of behind-the-scenes stories that remind us that sometimes, saying “yes” to life’s challenges is the boldest design choice of all.

Hey Clutterbugs! This episode is all about decoding the secret link between your love language and the clutter driving you nuts. Think of your home as a love letter to yourself—except sometimes it’s written in messy handwriting! We’re chatting about how your emotional needs (hello, Acts of Service lovers and Gift-Giving hoarders!) shape your clutter habits, why that pile of “maybe someday” clothes is really a cry for affirmation, and how to turn your space into a sanctuary that actually loves you back.
I’ll spill how my mother-in-law’s not-so-subtle love language book gift 23 years ago changed my marriage, and tell you why decluttering isn’t about perfection—it’s about making room for what truly fills your cup. Whether you’re a Physical Touch avoider (guilty!) or a Quality Time host drowning in doom rooms, we’ve got laughs, “aha!” moments, and real-talk tips to align your home with your heart.
Plus, I’m answering YOUR questions—like how to stop knitting needles from taking over your couch and why merging a Ladybug’s chaos with a Cricket’s minimalism is totally possible. Spoiler: Labels are magic.

If you’ve ever looked at your life and thought, “How did I end up here — and where the heck are my shoes?” — this episode is for you. Whether you're stuck in a shame spiral over clutter, afraid to start because you might fail (again), or dreaming of a better life but don’t know how to take that first step… you are so not alone.
In this raw and honest episode, I share the unfiltered story of how I went from total chaos (like, literal hoarder-level mess, bad decisions, and breaking the law kind of chaos) to finding purpose, peace, and a really clean kitchen. We walk down memory lane — from ADHD-fueled disasters to building the Clutterbug community, from a flip cam and a dream to YouTube, books, podcasts, and even a fire truck (yup, you read that right).
This one’s not just a highlight reel — it’s a messy, hilarious, and heartfelt reminder that you don’t need to be perfect or have it all figured out. You just need rules, limits, vision boards, and a dash of delusional self-belief. You’ll hear the power of finding your people, discovering your style, and finally realizing that you’re not messy — you just organize differently.
✨ We chat about:
What it’s really like to fail (a lot) and keep going anyway
The chaotic backstory behind Clutterbug (and how it almost didn’t happen)
Vision boards, viral videos, and how to manifest your dream life — one basket at a time
How “It’s not a cat” became a clutter mantra (and a t-shirt!)
What to keep when you’re living in a “temporary but forever” space
Why your kids don’t think you’re cool — even if you’re a YouTuber
The life-changing magic of saying “I deserve this” — and meaning it
👇 What’s your chaos-to-clarity moment? Have you ever embraced your weird, chased a wild dream, or told yourself “I deserve this”? Let’s chat in the comments — and if this episode made you laugh, cry, or finally toss out that third crockpot, don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share with a friend who’s also building their own beautifully messy, magic-filled life.

If you’ve ever stared into your sock drawer and felt a little dead inside, overwhelmed, or just plain fed up — this episode is for you. Whether you're constantly late because your toothbrush situation is out of control, exhausted by “what’s for dinner” decisions, or feeling like your cluttered home is zapping your energy, you are not alone.

We chat about the psychology behind decision overload, how clutter creates mental noise, and the simple systems that can give you back hours of your life (and your sanity!).
This isn’t just a pep talk — it’s a push to finally make decluttering easier, faster, and way less painful. In this episode, I sit down with productivity and time management expert Megan Sumrell — founder of The Pink Bee and creator of the TOP Framework — to talk about why most traditional planning systems don’t work for women… and what actually does.
We unpack how to reclaim control of your time without rigid schedules, color-coded overwhelm, or burning out by Wednesday. Megan shares practical, shame-free strategies that help you plan around real life — including the kids, the mental load, and all the curveballs that show up on a Tuesday morning.
Whether you’re juggling a business, a household, or just trying to feel like you’re not failing at everything — this episode will leave you feeling capable, seen, and ready to create a week that works for you.
✨ We talk about:
Why women’s productivity struggles aren’t a personal failure
The “uncertainty buffer” — and why it’s a weekly game-changer
How traditional time blocking sets you up to fail
The powerful shift from daily to weekly planning
Why structure actually gives you more freedom (not less)
How to stop procrastinating — without guilt

Are you struggling to declutter? Feeling overwhelmed by clutter but deep down, you're scared to let go? I’ve been there—and in this episode, I’m getting real about the fear, anxiety, and trauma that fuel the scarcity mindset.
In this powerful, honest, and practical episode, I open up about my own past with extreme scarcity and how it shaped my home—and my life. If you're stuck in a clutter cycle that feels impossible to escape, this episode will show you a way out.
You’ll learn:
⭐ What the scarcity cycle is (and why it's so sneaky)
⭐ Why decluttering feels terrifying for so many of us
⭐ Emotional signs you’re stuck in survival mode
⭐ Practical ways to start breaking free—without burning out
⭐ Why starting with expired Caesar dressing might change your life
⭐ The “container concept” and one-year rule that makes decluttering easier
⭐ How gratitude journaling literally rewires your brain to see abundance
This isn’t just about getting rid of stuff—it’s about healing. It's about moving from survival mode to THRIVING. You don’t need more bins. You don’t need more stuff. You need trust in yourself, a trash bag, and tiny steps forward.
💪 Let’s break this cycle together—hit play, grab a bag, and start letting go.

I enjoy the show as a bachelor trying to better organize and declutter, but don't tell people to throw away old CDs. Some people enjoy those as a cheap affordable collecting hobby, Drop them off at your local thrift store instead.
Oh dear Cas, I saw you on GO HQ and wondered what 's going on. To hurry myself taking a shower I put your podcast on. I rently started from PodCas1, now to make sure you'd still be talking as I'd get out. I'm so sorry you've overdone up to the point of getting blind. (I've been there once or twice too) now I've started decluttering seriously after 28 years again (yes I'm a bee-type with ofcourse adhd) I stopped sleeping enough, only getting 5 hrs, watching you & others and getting stuff done too
I love you Cass. You calm me and you motivate me. You are the BEST
Cass you're such an inspiration. I can't believe the fire fighter training you've put yourself through. You're really making a difference to many lives 💓💓💓💓
Two of my favorite podcasters coming together. This was the best. I love you both!!
I was able to go through a box of books separate ones that I do not want ones that I'm not sure if I want and ones that I want to keep got rid of one of those big Rubbermaid tubs thank you for helping me
Since retiring I no longer have time stress. It is incredible. I found I need some structure. I am trying to do something everyday. I always felt guilty for taking time to myself.I grew up in a chaotic home and was asked daily"What did you do today to help?" I no longer feel like I have to earn a rest. yah to retirement !
Thank you so much for sharing, I believe it may inpact my family more than you can know❤️

I can see how a clean house helps you think about things everywhere outside in life in a happy positive way...like you feel when your in a hotel room..its a clean slate sort of new start feeling...the decisions are fun..where to go ..what to eat..or watch... I'm curious about what you did with all the extra time available to you when you skipped the never ending monotony of cleaning..maybe your free thinking creative side is loosing small battles every day ..till it gives in and becomes complicit silent and tidy
I love your podcasts.
one way to reduce temptation to buy inexpensive stuff online is to think about the labor practices that were likely used to produce something to cheaply. very sad.
Hi Cas. I love ur work. When do u say a project has turned into a routine and can move to the next project? I tend to start multiple projects at the same time and then drop them on the way to becoming a routine
I love it a lot🤩
I love it🤩 one of your best episodes💜
I LOVE YOU Cass! You always hit the nail on the head. I was listening to your ADHD episode a while ago and completely related to you in so many ways! Especially the staying up all night because it's peaceful and we can do whatever we want. It's my "me" time! I don't have young kids anymore, I have 4 awesome grown sons, but I love the fact that my phone won't ring or ping at me, and it's my time! I am just learning about decluttering and another thing I have in common with you is I keep spending all my money! I can easily spend 3 or 4 hours at Walmart, just looking at their stuff and buying what I "need." Now I have shelves-full of duplicate brand new things. Notebooks, glass dishes, pens (don't get me started on them!), so many more items! it's embarrassing. I have a goal, which I reach, each week to take 2 bags or boxes to donations on Saturday. It's going great! Gosh, I could keep going....but just want you to know you are at the top of my list for listening to or watching on
First 12 minutes are silence? Anyone else or just me?
I love this collaboration! Both women have helped me so much along my journey! ❤️
Great podcast! I love this perspective, it hit home for me.
Please help by projecting consistently, one person drops off to a faint whisper that becomes inaudible. Despite doubling the volume, the speaking can be hard to hear.
