Matt: You're getting waaaaaay too political. we get this caca in plenty of other places. stay true to the topic.
what's the song at the end?
Im sorry but file size 60mb for 1 hour show is extreme overkill ... mono 24kbs would take up less than 10mb even that is enormous... i would like podcasters consult with efficiency experts or computer scientists or ham radio hobbyist to help them find their best optimised show quality-size ...
Matt, Why don't you do the next GGR? You have name recognition already, You could name your boat the name of your Non Profit. The last American got allot of press for a year but actually no one knew him before the race. I think you would be perfect and draw allot of attention to your cause. Plus you could research during the race that would get publicity and raise awareness
Matt , Jarle Andhoy did the North Coast of Russia on his Albin Vega Berserk with a Pilot a few years ago. He actually made a Youtube Video about the voyage. You could contact him if you wanted to know the costs or who to contact.
Sorry I hit the enter key by mistake. Anyway I was a US Navy Quartermaster (Navigator) for twenty years and a USCG licensed 200 Ton Near Coastal Master since I retired in 1996. I am now fully retired from my small craft Merchant Marine Service and have been doing "6 Pack" Charters with me Vega since 2015. Here in Charleston Harbor. If you would like to talk or message me about the business. We are friends on Facebook you can message me there and exchange phone Numbers. I was at the Boat show and had really hoped to see and meet you there. Just didn't workout. Hope we talk soon.
Hi Matt, You know who I am. I leave you messages quite often. However I don't think you have ever responded. I own Viking , Albin Vega 3361 in Charleston, SC. You have been asking about any information someone would have about day sail charters and sailing lessons on a Vega
Hi Matt, I recently reconnected John on Thorfin Skullcrucher. Like you I own a Albin Vega as John did. And your historic Vessel. Anyway I told John that I had heard what happened to him on his Jester Challenge. He asked me to forward your Podcast of his story. I have looked most of the day to find the Podcast. Would you please forward your podcast to John. Thank you. Also I will be leaving Charleston at 0500 tomorrow to drive up to Annapolis for the sailboat show. Will you be there I would be honored to meet you and shake your hand. Thanks again Manning
Matt, I have seen on occasion that you are attempting to sell your Albin Vega St. Brendan. I would think that such a famous vessel would be best displayed in a maritime museum. Are there no interested party's in all of Maryland or even the Smithsonian That would be interested in her for restoration and display.
I charter my Albin Vega 3361 in Charleston, You talked about young people at the beginning of this webcast. I have noticed I very rarely find someone who understands how to helm with a tiller. I suspect it has to do with very few small power boats have tiller outboard motors. Young people have only driven boats with steering wheels. Just interesting.
Excellent podcast! I can't wait to hear more. Thanks for taking the time to make this, Matt.
