Star Wars

2025-12-2153:35

There are two stars fighting for your soul… and most people don’t realize which one they’re following. In this powerful, eye-opening message, Pastor Shane Wall uncovers the hidden Star Wars happening in the spiritual realm — a battle between the Star of Bethlehem and the inverted star of rebellion. To learn more about The Feast of the Lord, visit us online at www.orangeburgchurch.com Here are the author's notes from this week's message: Star Wars [But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done]. 1 John 3:8 AMPC *- Christmas is more than a season, it’s a revelation of a war between two kingdoms. *- In Matthew 2, God placed a symbol in the sky to announce that the true King had come. 2 Where is He Who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east at its rising and have come to worship Him. 9 When they had listened to the king, they went their way, and behold, the star which had been seen in the east in its rising went before them until it came and stood over the place where the young Child was. 10 When they saw the star, they were thrilled with ecstatic joy. Matthew 2:9-10 AMPC *- But while God used His star to point people to Christ, the enemy throughout history has attempted to use his star to point people away from Christ. 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. 16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; Isaiah 14:12-16 KJV *- Star Wars, this message's title, is a spiritual reality: The war between the Star of Bethlehem and the inverted star of satanic rebellion. *- The world uses stars to symbolize rebellion — an inverted star where flesh dominates spirit. But God placed His star in the sky to symbolize truth, guidance, and worship. One star leads to self; the other leads to the Savior. What did God’s star represent? *- God’s Direction: It moved—leading the wise men step by step. God never leaves His people wandering. *- God’s Revelation: The star pointed only to Jesus—never to itself. It revealed Heaven’s plan, not man’s desires. *- God’s Invitation: The star was God saying: Follow this light and you will find the Savior to worship. The enemy cannot create—he can only invert and pervert what God makes. Just as God used a star to reveal Christ, satan promotes a corrupted star to conceal/hide Christ. The inverted pentagram symbolizes: matter over spirit rebellion over obedience—rejection of God self-will and self-exaltation over God’s will the kingdom of darkness over light It is used in: satanism occult rituals witchcraft demonic symbolism *- Where God’s star lifts people to worship, the enemy’s star pulls people into self-worship, which leads to confusion, deception, and bondage. *- There are two stars in the spiritual realm: *- God’s star — points to Jesus *- Satan’s star — points to self *- God’s star invites worship. *- Satan’s star invites rebellion. *- God’s star illuminates. *- Satan’s star darkens. *- God’s star guides. *- Satan’s star misleads. *- God’s star brings joy. *- Satan’s star brings bondage. *- God’s star reveals the King. *- Satan’s star rejects the King. *- Every thought that we believe is a good idea that brings light to what we should do must be brought to the light of Jesus Christ to ensure God's Spirit is leading us. This is the spiritual Star Wars happening in every generation. Now, God asks: Whose star are you following? The star that leads to worship? Or the star that leads to rebellion? The star that leads to Jesus? Or the star that leads to self? Lifework Assignment: *- Christmas is God’s reminder that He put His star in the sky to defeat every false star that rises against Him. Just as God moved the star to guide the wise men, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you. Follow His light. Reject every counterfeit light. Choose the star that leads to your destiny, not your destruction. Expected Behavior: *- Just as the star stood over the place where Jesus was, He stands over your life saying: “Here is where you will find Me.” *- If you want to follow the Light of the world and reject every false light — every inverted star of rebellion — God is calling you to worship like the wise men. Come to Jesus. Come to the true Light. Come to the Star that will never lead you astray from God’s will and safety for your life.

To learn more about The Feast of the Lord, visit us online at www.orangeburgchurch.com Here are the author's notes from this week's message: Make Life Simple Again Part 6 *- God wants to cause some people who are listening to this message to become rich and some wealthy. *- Some people believe that being rich will make life simple for them. Paying bills when we have more than enough money left over may make life easier, but it may not make life simpler. But you shall [earnestly] remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. Deuteronomy 8:18 AMPC *- God gave you $3 million. Afterwards, you would… Give Tithes and Offerings Pay Taxes Become Debt Free Bless Others *- Then, what would you do with the rest of the money? Prayerfully write a plan. *- Also, with the income you currently have coming in, do you have a plan—one that you’ve prayerfully received and documented? *- What can we do to ensure God trusts us with the riches and wealth He desires to give us, without allowing those blessings to weaken our relationship with Him or our faithfulness to all He asks of us? 8 Will a man rob or defraud God? Yet you rob and defraud Me. But you say, In what way do we rob or defraud You? [You have withheld your] tithes and offerings. 9 You are cursed with the curse, for you are robbing Me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of your income) into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now by it, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11 And I will rebuke the devourer [insects and plagues] for your sakes and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground, neither shall your vine drop its fruit before the time in the field, says the Lord of hosts. 12 And all nations shall call you happy and blessed, for you shall be a land of delight, says the Lord of hosts. Malachi 3:8-12 AMPC 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to go into the kingdom of heaven. 25 When the disciples heard this, they were utterly puzzled (astonished, bewildered), saying, Who then can be saved [from eternal death]? 26 But Jesus looked at them and said, With men this is impossible, but all things are possible with God. Matthew 19:24-26 AMPC 6 [Remember] this: he who sows sparingly and grudgingly will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows generously [that blessings may come to someone] will also reap generously and with blessings. 7 Let each one [give] as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves (He takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, “prompt to do it”) giver [whose heart is in his giving]. 8 And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation]. 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 AMPC [Instead of repairing the breaches, the officials] make a feast for laughter, serve wine to cheer life, and [depend on tax] money to answer for all of it. Ecclesiastes 10:19 AMPC 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have many good things laid up, [enough] for many years. Take your ease; eat, drink, and enjoy yourself merrily. 20 But God said to him, You fool! This very night they [the messengers of God] will demand your soul of you; and all the things that you have prepared, whose will they be? 21 So it is with the one who continues to lay up and hoard possessions for himself and is not rich [in his relation] to God [this is how he fares]. Luke 12:19-21 AMPC
Most people aren’t spiritually drained because life is hard… They’re drained because they’re running from the assignment God already revealed. Your peace, clarity, and next season are on the other side of obedience. Stop running. Start walking in what God chose YOU for. This message will realign your spirit, sharpen your faith, and push you back into the calling Heaven placed on your life. Psalm 65:11 AMPC *- “This year will not end before every obedient one receives what God promised they would receive this year. God will crown this year, before it ends, with abundance and goodness for you.” *- A simple life is one where what God says is believed and acted upon. Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 AMPC *- Why do atmospheres we’re not familiar with cause fear? Situations we don’t normally live in—yet suddenly face—leave the way we choose to respond completely in our hands. Virtually everyone responds based on who or what they believe will solve the situation. *- What would make life simple for us is having financial freedom, fulfilling our destiny, and maintaining great health. *- In order to enjoy all of this, we must first learn to discipline ourselves—especially our fleshly, human nature that constantly desires to engage in what is evil. 14 We know that the Law is spiritual; but I am a creature of the flesh [carnal, unspiritual], having been sold into slavery under [the control of] sin. 15 For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled, bewildered]. I do not practice or accomplish what I wish, but I do the very thing that I loathe [which my moral instinct condemns]. 16 Now if I do [habitually] what is contrary to my desire, [that means that] I acknowledge and agree that the Law is good (morally excellent) and that I take sides with it. 17 However, it is no longer I who do the deed, but the sin [principle] which is at home in me and has possession of me. 18 For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot perform it. [I have the intention and urge to do what is right, but no power to carry it out.] 19 For I fail to practice the good deeds I desire to do, but the evil deeds that I do not desire to do are what I am [ever] doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not desire to do, it is no longer I doing it [it is not myself that acts], but the sin [principle] which dwells within me [fixed and operating in my soul]. 21 So I find it to be a law (rule of action of my being) that when I want to do what is right and good, evil is ever present with me and I am subject to its insistent demands. 22 For I endorse and delight in the Law of God in my inmost self [with my new nature]. 23 But I discern in my bodily members [in the sensitive appetites and wills of the flesh] a different law (rule of action) at war against the law of my mind (my reason) and making me a prisoner to the law of sin that dwells in my bodily organs [in the sensitive appetites and wills of the flesh]. 24 O unhappy and pitiable and wretched man that I am! Who will release and deliver me from [the shackles of] this body of death? 25 O thank God! [He will!] through Jesus Christ (the Anointed One) our Lord! So then indeed I, of myself with the mind and heart, serve the Law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin. Romans 7:14-25 AMPC Lifework Assignment: *- 1. Take the time to ask: “Holy Spirit, will You please help me prepare a list of the entryways I have opened—moments where the devil or his demons gained access to my attention, where my heart was influenced by their suggestions, and where I echoed their ill-seeded words—believing they were my own thoughts or genuine feelings?” 2. Then ask, “Holy Spirit, what should I do in each moment when I’ve allowed the items on my list to open a door—so that I receive only Your influence and not a demonic one?” A few items that will help you find YOUR list: moments where the devil or his demons gained access to my attention: When I’m afraid When I decide to figure out what to do before praying where my heart was influenced by their suggestions: When I'm trying to prove my abilities When I fear the influence of people's opinion where I echoed their ill-seeded words—believing they were my own thoughts or genuine feelings: Trying to prove my authority is valid from God Trying to cover up past failures
In this life-changing sermon, God delivered a word that confronts one of the most ignored but dangerous habits in the church: false repentance. Most people say “I’m sorry” because they fear judgment — not because they genuinely love God. But the Holy Spirit made it clear: Repentance means the LAST time was the LAST time. This is Part 4 of “Make Life Simple Again,” and it will reset how you live, how you repent, how you make decisions, and how you walk with Jesus daily. Subscribe for weekly messages that will strengthen your spirit, sharpen your discernment, and make your walk with God unshakeable. To learn more about The Feast of the Lord, visit us online at www.orangeburgchurch.com Here are the author's notes from this week's message: Make Life Simple Again Part 4 *- Has anything changed about satan, the devil, since he wanted to sift Simon and the disciples as wheat when they were with Jesus? [God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross]. Colossians 2:15 AMPC 14 Since, therefore, [these His] children share in flesh and blood [in the physical nature of human beings], He [Himself] in a similar manner partook of the same [nature], that by [going through] death He might bring to nought and make of no effect him who had the power of death–that is, the devil– 15 And also that He might deliver and completely set free all those who through the [haunting] fear of death were held in bondage throughout the whole course of their lives. Hebrews 2:14-15 AMPC *- So, how should we view the devil and his demons now that we've been enlightened concerning their current status? 25 Therefore, rejecting all falsity and being done now with it, let everyone express the truth with his neighbor, for we are all parts of one body and members one of another. 26 When angry, do not sin; do not ever let your wrath (your exasperation, your fury or indignation) last until the sun goes down. *- So, how should we view the devil and his demons now that we've been enlightened concerning their current status? 27 Leave no [such] room or foothold for the devil [give no opportunity to him]. *- room / foothold / place (KJV): signals moral ground ceded (having given up power or territory) by anger, bitterness, deceit, etc. Opportunity, power, occasion for acting. *- The devil and his demons don't deserve a moment of our attention, a place to plant even a footprint, or any use of our voices to echo their suggestions, desires, or strategies. When we refuse to grant space in our thoughts, emotions, or speech, we shut doors on each attempt to influence our lives. 28 Let the thief steal no more, but rather let him be industrious, making an honest living with his own hands, so that he may be able to give to those in need. Ephesians 4:25-28 AMPC Lifework Assignment: *- 1. Then ask, “Holy Spirit, what should I do in each moment when I’ve allowed the items on my list to open a door—so that I receive only Your influence and not a demonic one?” A few items that will help you find YOUR list: moments where the devil or his demons gained access to my attention: tired Haven't surrendered my will where my heart was influenced by their suggestions: Not taking the time to find or remember what God already said about the situation When I think the outcome is win or lose where I echoed their ill-seeded words—believing they were my own thoughts or genuine feelings: Desiring to have a testimony of my victory Wanting revenge Expected Behavior: Since satan’s rank, abilities, and influence have decreased deplorably since before Jesus’ resurrection, our response to anything we perceive as negative must change. Once we understand that we must now change our response, we'll begin to approach life with confidence instead of fear. Now that we know the truth—that the devil and his demons have been reduced to a weak and low-power status—our view of ourselves joyfully shifts from timidity and failures to boldness and victory.
Most people think their battles mean God has abandoned them… but the truth is the exact opposite. If life has been agitating you, shaking you, pressing you — this message is your divine explanation. Jesus told Peter, “Satan has asked to sift you like wheat.” Not to destroy him… but to reveal him. In this sermon, you’ll discover: - Why God allows sifting — and why He never prays it away - How Jesus intercedes for your faith even when you fail - Why trials reveal authenticity, not weakness - The power of spiritual covering — and why wandering believers get hit the hardest - The truth about the enemy after the Cross: disarmed, exposed, defeated - How pastors spiritually guard, fast, and stand watch for the people God assigned them to - Why your next season demands sensitivity, submission, and spiritual alignment This message brings clarity, correction, and courage. Because the shaking isn’t coming to break you — it’s coming to PROVE you. To learn more about The Feast of the Lord, visit us online at orangeburgchurch.com Here are the author's notes from this week's message: Make Life Simple Again Part 3 31 Simon, Simon (Peter), listen! Satan has asked excessively that [all of] you be given up to him [out of the power and keeping of God], that he might sift [all of] you like grain, *- The verb translated “sift” evokes the ancient threshing floor, where harvested wheat was vigorously shaken in a sieve so that kernels separated from chaff. The process was purposeful, vigorous, and unrelenting, ensuring that only genuine grain remained. In Scripture, this imagery conveys testing through agitation rather than mere observation—an ordeal designed to expose what is true and enduring. 32 But I have prayed especially for you [Peter], that your [own] faith may not fail; and when you yourself have turned again, strengthen and establish your brethren. *- Notice that Jesus didn’t pray for them to avoid being sifted. God often allows testing to refine our faith, not to destroy it. Yet, many of us allow trials to gravely weaken our faith in God. Jesus prayed that Peter’s faith would not fail—because faith is what keeps us from being overtaken by trials. *- God doesn’t always prevent or remove the test; He strengthens us to endure it. His goal is not to spare us from pressure but to make us stronger under it, proving that faith is mightier than any sifting. 32 But I have prayed especially for you [Peter], that your [own] faith may not fail; and when you yourself have turned again, strengthen and establish your brethren. *- Knowing when a demon has targeted someone in our church is one of the sacred responsibilities of my calling—and is why I pastor the way I do. *- The way I cover our church family is through fasting and prayer—so I can stay sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s encouragements, empowerments, warnings, and instructions for you. *- Too many people live unguarded lives, unaware of demonic plans formed against them, with no one else committed to spiritually discerning what’s being plotted in secret. My calling is to warn and prepare you—so you don’t have to figure it out the hard way. That’s what makes life simple again for you: being covered, protected, and guided by the Spirit through a shepherd who hears Him for you. 33 And [Simon Peter] said to Him, Lord, I am ready to go with You both to prison and to death. 34 But Jesus said, I tell you, Peter, before a [single] cock shall crow this day, you will three times [utterly] deny that you know Me. Luke 22:31-34 AMPC *- Has anything changed about satan, the devil, since he wanted to sift Simon as wheat? Hebrews 2:14-15 AMPC *- So, how should we really see the devil now? How much easier is it to overcome him since Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection? And now that we know who he truly is—defeated by Jesus, stripped of the power of death, and exposed as an authoritative impostor—what’s the most effective way to come against him? *- NEXT SUNDAY! Lifework Assignment: *- Ask the Holy Spirit to make you sensitive to His voice when He chooses to speak through others. Stay open to receive what He has entrusted to them for your benefit, so you don’t miss divine wisdom meant to strengthen or guide you. Expected Behavior: Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. Hebrews 13:17 KJV *- obey: to listen to, obey, yield to, comply with *- rule: of the person over whom one rules, so of the overseers or leaders of Christian churches. *- submit: to resist no longer, but to give way, yield (properly, of combatants). (Only biblical reference) *- watch: to exercise constant vigilance over something (an image drawn from shepherds) *- unprofitable: describes the lost benefits from making a poor choice. (Only biblical reference)
In this powerful message, Pastor Shane Wall exposes the one thing that makes life unnecessarily hard—and how to return to divine simplicity. This is Part 2 of “Make Life Simple Again,” and it’s going to set your soul free from overcomplication, overthinking, and spiritual exhaustion. Watch until the end—Pastor Shane leads a live activation exercise that will quiet your thoughts and help you hear the Holy Spirit’s voice in real time. To learn more about The Feast of the Lord, visit us online at orangeburgchurch.com Here are the author's notes from this week's message: Make Life Simple Again Part 2 33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides. Matthew 6:33 AMPC *- Life becomes unnecessarily complex when we put anything before God’s order. When His Kingdom and righteousness are our priority, complexity dissolves. Everything we truly need aligns itself with divine timing, order, and purpose. 6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. 7 And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 AMPC *- Prayer is the exchange that empties anxiety and fills us with peace. When we pray rightly—listening and conversing with the Holy Spirit—peace becomes the guard over our minds, and simplicity becomes our way of life. 5 Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. 6 In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 AMPC *- Life becomes complicated when we lean on human reasoning instead of divine direction. Simplicity flows when we let the Holy Spirit lead us into truth. Jesus loves us so deeply that He sent the Holy Spirit to comfort and guide us with His wisdom and clarity. (John 16:13) I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. John 15:5 AMPC *- The key to a simple and fulfilled life is to remain vitally connected to Jesus. When we stay joined to Him, being fruitful seems effortless because the One Who fulfills all things lives through us. 8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has wrought desolations and wonders in the earth. 9 He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow into pieces and snaps the spear in two; He burns the chariots in the fire. 10 Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth! Psalm 46:8-10 AMPC *- be still: let (it, them, etc) alone, i.e., do nothing, be quiet *- It’s simple: Watch. Understand. Relax. Know. If we approached every problem this way, our minds would quickly learn that life isn’t as complicated as it seems and that solving problems can be simple. Lifework Assignment: Think about your favorite pet that passed away. Now think about the food you absolutely dislike. Next, think about a place you never enjoy going to. Now, listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit with your right ear. Most complications in life arise from our constant thinking. Did you notice how simple it was to quiet your thoughts and start listening for the Holy Spirit? Every time your thoughts try to steal the moment meant for listening to the Holy Spirit's voice, make the same quick switch—stop thinking, start listening. That single shift can train your mind to see life as simple again. Expected Behavior: 16 Rejoice evermore. 17 Pray without ceasing. 18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 KJV
Apostle Wall reminds us that God’s perfection is here and now. Healing isn’t pending — it’s present. The Lord said, “Take the bandaid off.” Stop rehearsing what He already restored. Then we go deeper: “Make life simple again.” Love God. Love people. Fear Him. Obey Him. That’s it. The simpler your obedience, the stronger your peace. No more overthinking. No more forcing doors open. Delay isn’t denial — it’s direction. And peace? That’s your confirmation. Watch this until the end — the atmosphere will shift in your home, your heart, and your habits. Here are the author's notes from this week's message: Make Life Simple Again Part 1 35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Matthew 22:35-39 KJV *- Jesus reduced all the Law and Prophets (Old Testament) to love—God first, people second. Simplicity begins with order. Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV *- When Solomon—the wisest man to live—reached the end of all his reasoning, he concluded that life’s purpose is stunningly simple: fear God and obey Him. *- Every pursuit, question, and accomplishment outside of that leads to frustration. *- Simplicity in life begins when reverence for God’s Word replaces selfishness and obedience replaces opinions. He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8 (AMPC) *- God’s expectations are simple—justice, kindness, mercy, and humility. Complication begins when we add to what God requires. 9 But concerning brotherly love [for all other Christians], you have no need to have anyone write you, for you yourselves have been [personally] taught by God to love one another. 10 And indeed you already are [extending and displaying your love] to all the brethren throughout Macedonia. But we beseech and earnestly exhort you, brethren, that you excel [in this matter] more and more, 11 To make it your ambition and definitely endeavor to live quietly and peacefully, to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we charged you, *- Simple living: Focus on being quiet and peaceful with others. Avoid meddling. Do your own work. *- How do these actions simplify life? 12 So that you may bear yourselves becomingly and be correct and honorable and command the respect of the outside world, being dependent on nobody [self-supporting] and having need of nothing. 1 Thessalonians 4:9-12 AMPC *- bear yourself: to regulate one's life, to conduct oneself *- When you simplify your life, people will automatically respect and honor your debt-free lifestyle. Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. Romans 13:8 KJV Lifework Assignment: *- The Law of Subtraction can be applied to any life that’s not experiencing the joy of simplicity. *- What is your takeaway concerning your life right now? *- The key takeaway concerning my life right now is that I need to take away nonessentials from my life right now. *- Prayerfully ask the Holy Spirit to help you make a list of what you need to subtract from your life right now. Then, ask God for the wisdom to do it in love, especially if it involves people. Expected Behavior: “I don’t need that.” “I will not major on the minors.” “If I have to think too hard about adding it to my life, having it will take away my peace, so no thank you.” “If I have to force it, it’s not from God.” “Peace is my confirmation.” “Delay is not denial; it’s direction.” “I don’t need to understand everything to obey God.”
The enemy wants your PEACE — but he can’t have it! Apostle Shane Wall reveals a powerful truth: when you walk in God’s divine authority, no weapon formed against you can prosper. Romans 12:21 AMPC *- Become a master of peace in your home—by preventing or conquering anxiety, anger, and selfishness with the good that defeats what has erupted. We don’t silence evil by matching its tone; we overcome it by mastering ours through humility to God’s will, Word, and way. *- When we let strife, irritation, or offense rule the atmosphere, we’re agreeing with the absence of God in that moment. Peace is proof that His presence is governing the house. How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. Acts 10:38 KJV *- God anointed Jesus, and He has anointed us as well. 21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; 22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 KJV *- Identify the anointing within each member of your family, and honor them by yielding to how God chooses to use them. When every gift in the house is respected and allowed to function, peace reigns and remains. *- A genuine posture of humility and submission is the proof that we both recognize and honor the anointing operating in someone else. To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven: Ecclesiastes 3:1 AMPC *- What time is it? *- This question is usually answered with the question… *- Whose time is it? *- Teacher, Judge, Postal Worker, Surgeon, Pastor, Basketball Player, Newscaster, etc. *- When a specific area of life becomes troubled, the question is: Whose time is it, in your family, to rise in their anointing and bring peace to that troubled place? *- The Jews expected the Messiah to enter the world as a roaring lion! *- But He entered this world as a peaceful newborn, the Lamb of God who would be slain to bring lasting peace to all who received Him—and to all who still receive Him today. Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour. 1 Peter 5:8 AMPC *- Your bold, roaring opposers want you to believe they’ll defeat you—stay at peace. *- Their attacks wounded you, and to them, you looked defeated. Those who hated you, disagreed with what God told you to do, and abandoned you, treated you just as they did Jesus. *- But, like Jesus, Who was seen as wounded and slain, you, at the end of the race, will be resurrected in power! Lifework Assignment: Have an open, Spirit-led conversation with your anointed family members and closest brothers and sisters about mutually showing deep respect, honor, and submission to how God uses each of you to bless and strengthen one another. Expected Behavior: 6 Having gifts (faculties, talents, qualities) that differ according to the grace given us, let us use them: [He whose gift is] prophecy, [let him prophesy] according to the proportion of his faith; 7 [He whose gift is] practical service, let him give himself to serving; he who teaches, to his teaching; 8 He who exhorts (encourages), to his exhortation; he who contributes, let him do it in simplicity and liberality; he who gives aid and superintends, with zeal and singleness of mind; he who does acts of mercy, with genuine cheerfulness and joyful eagerness. 9 [Let your] love be sincere (a real thing); hate what is evil [loathe all ungodliness, turn in horror from wickedness], but hold fast to that which is good. 10 Love one another with brotherly affection [as members of one family], giving precedence and showing honor to one another. 11 Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord. Romans 12:6-11 AMPC
Most believers pray, “Lord, calm the storm.” But what if the storm wasn’t sent to destroy you — it was sent to develop you? Join us as we celebrate 22 years of service and ministry through The Feast of the Lord and Apostle Shane Wall. To learn more about The Feast of the Lord, visit us online at www.orangeburgchurch.com Here are the author's notes from this week's message: The Other 16 Part 6 Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:] Philippians 2:5 AMPC *- What attitude, purpose, and humble mind did Jesus have? 3 Do nothing from factional motives [through contentiousness, strife, selfishness, or for unworthy ends] or prompted by conceit and empty arrogance. Instead, in the true spirit of humility (lowliness of mind) let each regard the others as better than and superior to himself [thinking more highly of one another than you do of yourselves]. *- Demons often use people to stir up storms in our lives—and sometimes the one they use is us. *- Be careful to let only the Holy Spirit guide your reactions and responses, because He alone produces love and peace. 4 Let each of you esteem and look upon and be concerned for not [merely] his own interests, but also each for the interests of others. 5 Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:] Philippians 2:3-5 AMPC 36 And leaving the throng, they took Him with them, [just] as He was, in the boat [in which He was sitting]. And other boats were with Him. 37 And a furious storm of wind [of hurricane proportions] arose, and the waves kept beating into the boat, so that it was already becoming filled. 38 But He [Himself] was in the stern [of the boat], asleep on the [leather] cushion; and they awoke Him and said to Him, Master, do You not care that we are perishing? 39 And He arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Hush now! Be still (muzzled)! And the wind ceased (sank to rest as if exhausted by its beating) and there was [immediately] a great calm (a perfect peacefulness). 40 He said to them, Why are you so timid and fearful? How is it that you have no faith (no firmly relying trust)? 41 And they were filled with great awe and feared exceedingly and said one to another, Who then is this, that even wind and sea obey Him?” Mark 4:36-41 AMPC *- We often want Jesus to calm the storm, but remember… *- Jesus was displeased that they wanted Him to calm the storm. *- Jesus would rather we wait for His decision about what to do with the storm since He’s in it with us. *- Don’t cheapen His presence within you by fearing how the storm can harm you, instead of knowing that in the storm, Jesus will help you, and He often helps without giving us prior notice. *- Reacting with unrighteous anger in the midst of our storms reveals a lack of faith in Jesus. But faith doesn’t silence emotion—it destroys the fleshly influence of our emotions to be selfish. Righteous faith feels the effects of the storm, yet remains dependent on Jesus, allowing the Holy Spirit to govern every response under Christ’s Lordship. *- Salvation is here. Receive Jesus now. Lifework Assignment: If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action]. 1 John 1:9 AMPC *- Thank You, Father, that when we confess our sins, You’re faithful to forgive and cleanse us from everything that keeps us from conforming to Your will. Thank You for not only forgiving our sinful actions, but also cleansing our hearts, minds, souls, and spirits from whatever influenced us to betray or disobey You—so that we’ll never again depend on that false source to lead us astray. Expected Behavior: Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty (snobbish, high-minded, exclusive), but readily adjust yourself to [people, things] and give yourselves to humble tasks. Never overestimate yourself or be wise in your own conceits. Romans 12:16 AMPC *- Most people who are strongly opinionated don’t believe they’re wrong—and often refuse to humble themselves, assuming they’ll have time to make things right later. *- But what they fail to understand is that God is saying, “The time you consider to be yours is really Mine, and I am a revengeful God. *- Don’t be among those the Bible warns about—who cling to their opinions and risk eternity in the lake of fire—just to prove their selfish points now, instead of submitting to what God has already said. And if anyone’s [name] was not found recorded in the Book of Life, he was hurled into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15 AMPC *- Let it all go—your sneaky, sinful, selfish, and opinionated ways, once and for all. Don’t risk being thrown into the lake of fire forever and ever. There is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death. Proverbs 14:12 AMPC *- Which way are you going? *- The altar is now open for those who are truly sorry, repentant, and serious about only going and believing in God’s way for the rest of their lives, instead of going and believing in their own ways.
Jesus gave a chilling warning — “Whoever causes one of these little ones to stumble…” We’ve quoted it for years… but very few actually believe Him. This message isn’t just another sermon — it’s a divine interruption. God is calling the Church to wake up. We’ve prayed for revival… but God says, “Revival starts in the home.” In this prophetic teaching, Pastor exposes what’s really happening in the spirit: -Why prayer—not politics—is holding back destruction. -Why the treatment and training of children is a reflection of our relationship with God. -Why the devil targets the young — and how parents, teachers, and believers must respond. -How to discipline, love, and lead like the Father Himself. This is the kind of message you don’t just watch — you repent through it. It will awaken every parent, leader, and believer to what Jesus really meant when He said, “Let the little children come to Me.” To learn more about The Feast of the Lord, visit us online at www.orangeburgchurch.com Here are the author's notes from this week's message: The Other 16 Part 5 *- How does Jesus view the way children are treated? 5 And whoever receives and accepts and welcomes one little child like this for My sake and in My name receives and accepts and welcomes Me. *- Protecting, teaching, and loving children are among the clearest ways we welcome Christ Himself. 6 But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in and acknowledge and cleave to Me to stumble and sin [that is, who entices him or hinders him in right conduct or thought], it would be better (more expedient and profitable or advantageous) for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be sunk in the depth of the sea. Matthew 18:5-6 (AMPC) *- Jesus takes the treatment of children personally. To harm, mislead, or hinder them is so serious that He warned—it would be better to be drowned with a massive stone tied around your neck than to face the judgment awaiting anyone who causes one of His little ones to stumble. Fathers, do not irritate and provoke your children to anger [do not exasperate them to resentment], but rear them [tenderly] in the training and discipline and the counsel and admonition of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4 (AMPC) *- Commanded fathers, never handle children in ways that provoke, irritate, or embitter them. Instead, raise them with tenderness, discipline, rebuke, warning, and counsel that flows directly from the Lord. *- discipline: the whole training and education of children (which relates to the cultivation of mind and morals, and employs for this purpose now commands and admonitions, now reproof and punishment *- admonition denotes that parental speech is to impress the Lord’s ways on children, balancing nurture and warning. *- What is recorded in the Bible concerning disciplining children? Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline will drive it far from him. Proverbs 22:15 (AMPC) *- Without strict discipline, foolishness will remain in the heart of any child. The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left undisciplined brings his mother to shame. Proverbs 29:15 (AMPC) *- Expressing sharp disapproval of a child’s behavior or actions makes them wise. Withhold not discipline from the child; for if you strike and punish him with the [reedlike] rod, he will not die. Proverbs 23:13 (AMPC) *- I’m not instructing anyone to strike their children. The word ‘if’ in this verse expresses biblical instruction for those who choose that form of discipline. The ‘reedlike rod’ mentioned was hollow, lightweight, and easily broken—symbolizing correction without harm. *- Spanking and beating come from very different motives. Discipline—training a child to obey and learn—is always about instruction, never anger.. 13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. 14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Mark 10:13-14 (KJV) *- Even today, many people fail to bring children to Jesus so He can touch their lives. *- Any child whom Jesus touches will encounter the transforming power of His love. *- Children and adults need Jesus to touch us—empowering us to live and share His love every day. Lifework Assignment: Ask Jesus to teach you godly parenting from His perspective—just as He perfectly honored His Father, God Almighty, and walked in complete obedience both before and after His death. Expected Behavior: God desires to work through parents the same way He parented His Son, Jesus Christ—shaping them to lead with obedience, honor, humility, integrity, and love.
In this eye-opening message, Apostle Shane Wall unpacks the biblical command for children to honor and obey their parents—and the blessing or curse that follows. This is Part 3 of The Other 16 series, where we examine the hours outside work and school that reveal whether our lives truly belong to God. The Other 16 Part 3 *- One of the major strategies demons use against Christians isn’t what occurs during the eight (8) hours we spend at work or school, but what takes place during the sixteen (16) hours we spend away from our day’s commitments, mostly spent with our biological or adoptive family members. *- This series examines “the other 16” hours of our day—when we’re not at work or school—and how those hours reveal whether our lives truly belong to the Lord, and what to do to submit to Him if not. *- What are a few facets of children’s lives that the Bible sheds light on? Regard (treat with honor, due obedience, and courtesy) your father and mother, that your days may be long in the land the Lord your God gives you. Exodus 20:12 AMPC Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God commanded you, that your days may be prolonged and that it may go well with you in the land which the Lord your God gives you. Deuteronomy 5:16 AMPC *- How children treat their parents can determine whether their lifespan is lengthened or shortened. Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord. Colossians 3:20 AMPC My son, hear the instruction of your father; reject not nor forsake the teaching of your mother. Proverbs 1:8 AMPC My son, keep your father’s [God-given] commandment and forsake not the law of [God] your mother [taught you]. Proverbs 6:20 AMPC *- Uncompromisingly righteous parents must teach their children how to hear and obey them. 1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord [as His representatives], for this is just and right. *- Children, your parents are God’s first authority in your life. But your obedience is not just horizontal—it’s vertical. You obey them ‘in the Lord,’ which means your obedience is really service to Christ. 2 Honor (esteem and value as precious) your father and your mother—this is the first commandment with a promise— 3 That all may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth. Ephesians 6:1–3 AMPC Hearken to your father, who begot you, and despise not your mother when she is old. Proverbs 23:22 AMPC *- Godly instruction from fathers as wisdom, understanding, and knowledge is an asset to all children. Elderly mothers aren't a burden to their children; instead, children are blessed to be able to care for them. Lifework Assignment: Children (parents, help younger children to understand and talk to the Holy Spirit): “Holy Spirit, I want to always obey everything You have given to my parents to tell me to do to please You. Help me to have and use wisdom and understanding all the time because I know You and my parents want the best for me.” Expected Behavior: 3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. 4 As arrows are in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. 5 Happy, blessed, and fortunate is the man whose quiver is filled with them! They will not be put to shame when they speak with their adversaries in the [city’s] gate. Psalm 127:3–5 AMPC *- Parents are expected to follow God's Law for their children, and children are expected to obey their parents to please God and so they don't make their parents ashamed of them.

The Other 16, Part 2

The Other 16, Part 2 (Women) The Holy Spirit is calling women back to discipline, purity, reverence, and love. Not the watered-down version the world promotes, but the raw truth of His Word. The Other 16 Part 2 *- One of the major strategies demons use against Christians isn’t what occurs during the eight (8) hours we spend at work or school, but what takes place during the sixteen (16) hours we spend away from our day’s commitments, mostly spent with our biological or adoptive family members. *- This series examines “the other 16” hours of our day—when we’re not at work or school—and how those hours reveal whether our lives truly belong to the Lord, and what to do to submit to Him if not. *- What are a few facets of women’s lives that the Bible sheds light on? 3 Bid the older women similarly to be reverent and devout in their deportment as becomes those engaged in sacred service, not slanderers or slaves to drink. They are to give good counsel and be teachers of what is right and noble, 4 So that they will wisely train the young women to be sane and sober of mind (temperate, disciplined) and to love their husbands and their children, *- love (of wife): the special affection of a woman for her life-time mate (husband), embracing him as her "calling" (stewardship) from God. *(This is the only occurrence of this love in the Bible). *- love (of mother): fond (affect-ion) of one's children, i.e., maternal. *(This is the only occurrence of this love in the Bible). 5 To be self-controlled, chaste, homemakers, good-natured (kindhearted), adapting and subordinating themselves to their husbands, that the word of God may not be exposed to reproach (blasphemed or discredited). *- self-controlled: restraining one's desires and impulses, temperate *- chaste: pure from carnality, modest (dressing or behaving so as to avoid impropriety or indecency, especially to avoid attracting sexual attention. *- homemakers: caring for the house, keeping at home and taking care of household affairs, domestic *- good-natured: of the feeling awakened by what is good, pleasant, agreeable, joyful, happy 6 In a similar way, urge the younger men to be self-restrained and to behave prudently [taking life seriously]. Titus 2:3-6 AMPC *- This message is especially for women, because the Holy Spirit wants those who desire marriage to recognize and discern a strong characteristic of a truly godly man. *- urge: warn; admonish *- self-restrained: to deny one's passions 22 Wives, be subject (be submissive and adapt yourselves) to your own husbands as [a service] to the Lord. 23 For the husband is head of the wife as Christ is the Head of the church, Himself the Savior of [His] body. 24 As the church is subject to Christ, so let wives also be subject in everything to their husbands. 25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her, Ephesians 5:22-25 AMPC Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. Ephesians 5:33 AMPC *- reverence: venerate (regard with great respect), to treat with deference (humble submission to a person or a person's desires or qualities) or reverential obedience. She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness. Proverbs 31:27 AMPC *- looketh well: continues to carefully watch; keeps watch *- to the ways: everything that is done—of goings and doings *- idleness: avoidance of activity or exertion; habitual laziness *- bread: unearned *- eateth: of peaceful enjoyment of the results of labour *- Godly women aren’t lazy, while still desiring someone else’s wages to bring them peace and enjoyment. Lifework Assignment: 1. Every woman, ask the Holy Spirit to examine your heart according to the Word of God from today. 2. Have a personal conversation with Him concerning what He reveals and instructs. Expected Behavior: *- The way we live in “the other 16” hours of our days proves whether we wholeheartedly belong to God and wholeheartedly desire to fully obey His Word.
Witchcraft isn’t just witches, potions, and spells—it’s hidden in everyday rebellion against God. In this powerful message, we expose: -How Hollywood normalizes witchcraft all year long. -Why rebellion and stubbornness carry the same spirit as witchcraft. -How the enemy plants thoughts to trap your mind. -The spiritual dangers of entertaining “harmless” sin. -How to shut down demonic attacks with prayer, obedience, and the Word of God. The Other 16, Part 1

2025-09-0155:21

Everyone says “God comes first.” But here’s the truth—God isn’t first, He’s the ONLY. If He’s not Lord of your 16 hours, He’s not Lord at all. To learn more about The Feast of the Lord, visit us online at www.orangeburgchurch.com Here are the author's notes from this week's message: The Other 16 Part 1 *- One of the major strategies demons use against Christians isn’t what occurs during the eight (8) hours we spend at work or school, but what takes place during the sixteen (16) hours we spend away from our day’s commitments, mostly spent with our biological or adoptive family members. *- This series will examine “the other 16” hours of our day—when we’re not at work or school—and how those hours reveal whether our lives truly belong to the Lord, and what to do to submit to Him if not. *- Many believers have embraced the phrase: “God first, family second, and ministry third.” *- It sounds wise, but it creates compartments that are unbiblical, deceptive, and evil because separating God from family and ministry creates a lasting imbalance at work and school. And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and guard and keep it. Genesis 2:15 AMPC *- Man served God before he was given a family. *- Firstly, how did Jesus define family? 46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. 47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. 48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? 49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! 50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. Matthew 12:46-50 KJV *- family: those who do the will of God, Who leads His family and is the Father of the obedient ones. *- Let's begin with the men… *- Joshua, the highly successful and fearless leader who replaced Moses, stood boldly and said: And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15 AMPC *- Men, we must declare and instill in our families that no matter who serves whom, we won't just believe in God, we’ll serve Him wholeheartedly and completely. 25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her, *- gave: to give oneself up for (from uncommitted singleness to humbly committing to marriage) *- Paul orders men who are willing to leave singleness to marry, to love as Jesus loved and why He loved—remembering that love always has a purpose… 26 So that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word, 27 That He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such things [that she might be holy and faultless]. *- Jesus gave Himself up for us to set us apart from our old ways, clean us up with God’s Word to present us to Himself, being flawless and holy unto God. Husbands, do the same for your wives. *- Although many in Jesus’ church failed Him, left Him, and denied Him, He remained faithful and stayed true to His calling and purpose. Husbands, remain faithful to do your part without failure. 28 Even so husbands should love their wives as [being in a sense] their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. 29 For no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and carefully protects and cherishes it, as Christ does the church, 30 Because we are members (parts) of His body. 31 For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. Ephesians 5:25-31 AMPC *- Paul spoke about a man's body, his flesh, because married people become one flesh—not one soul, not one spirit, but one flesh. Husbands, provide your wives with what you want for yourself. 4 He must rule his own household well, keeping his children under control, with true dignity, commanding their respect in every way and keeping them respectful. 5 For if a man does not know how to rule his own household, how is he to take care of the church of God? 1 Timothy 3:4-5 AMPC *- Fathers, if we don't live in such a way that commands respect, not fear, out of our children at home, how can we care for God's sons and daughters in the church?
The enemy wants you drained. He wants you worn out. That’s why demons work like criminals—causing pain, drama, and confusion while you waste your time swinging at people. But here’s the truth: the fight isn’t with them. It’s against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual wickedness in high places. To learn more about The Feast of the Lord, visit us online at www.orangeburgchurch.com Here are the author's notes from this week's mesage: Understanding Serpents Pt. 9 *- Just before Jesus sent His disciples out to minister, He gave them specific instructions: Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. Matthew 10:16 (KJV) *- Serpents have extremely poor eyesight and cannot hear airborne sounds, so they can’t rely on those senses for awareness. Yet, they rarely miss what they aim to hit. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12 KJV [But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done]. 1 John 3:8 AMPC *- What is spiritual wickedness in high places? *- It’s a spiritual being higher than man but inferior to God. *- wickedness: pain, toil, hardship, laborious trouble (evil that wears us down). So at its core, the word doesn’t just mean “evil” in an abstract sense—it implies evil that causes pain and drudgery (the effect of being weighed down, oppressed). It’s wickedness that inflicts suffering. It’s like our English use of “criminal”—not just bad in theory, but bad in active practice, doing harmful, unlawful things. So, it’s not passive—it’s wickedness that works like a criminal, spreading pain and corruption. *- This demon’s purpose is to make us try to work to fix situations, without acknowledging God, which makes the individual morally bad or evil through self-centeredness. It’s a willful, malicious spirit that shapes evil thoughts, dispositions, and deeds. It describes depravity (corruption) that resists the will of God and automatically seeks to corrupt others. *- high places: the lower heavens, or the heaven of the clouds, "on, fitting,"—heavenly, referring to the impact of a heavenly influence (good or bad) on a particular situation or person. *- Warfare: Intercessory prayer and holiness practices wage battle against these spirits, hostile to God’s order. Are you so foolish and so senseless and so silly? Having begun [your new life spiritually] with the [Holy] Spirit, are you now reaching perfection [by dependence] on the flesh? Galatians 3:3 AMPC 3 And shall make Him of quick understanding, and His delight shall be in the reverential and obedient fear of the Lord. And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, neither decide by the hearing of His ears; 4 But with righteousness and justice shall He judge the poor and decide with fairness for the meek, the poor, and the downtrodden of the earth; and He shall smite the earth and the oppressor with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. Isaiah 11:3-4 AMPC We strike back and destroy the works of spiritual wickedness in high places by: Refusing to Toil in the Flesh — Don’t try to fix situations with your own hands or mind. Waiting on Discernment — Let the Holy Spirit interpret the atmosphere before you act. Striking with Obedience — When He speaks, move immediately and precisely. Resting in God’s Ownership — Remember, you belong to the Lord, not to toil or fear. Lifework Assignment: Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal areas in your life where you’ve been trying to “fix” things in your own strength instead of relying on Him. Write down one recent situation where you felt the pressure to toil or overwork in the flesh. Then, pray and ask the Lord to show you how to rest in His wisdom instead, moving only when He gives the word—just as serpents wait before striking. Expected Behavior: We will no longer exhaust ourselves with toil or frantic self-effort. Instead, we will walk in discernment and rest, trusting the Holy Spirit to guide our steps. Our accuracy in spiritual battles will increase as we strike with obedience to God’s Word—proving that we belong to the Lord, not to the weight of wickedness in high places.
Every Time You Resist Temptation, a Demon Gets Punished! (Understanding Serpents, Part 8) Did you know demons get disciplined when they fail to tempt you? That’s why they attack harder—because every time you resist, you put a devil in trouble. In this message (Part 8 of Understanding Serpents), we go deep into Ephesians 6:12, exploring how: -Demons operate as rulers of darkness with assigned territories -Sin is not just weakness—it’s submitting to a ruler’s government -Jesus came with purpose: to destroy the works of the devil -Why precision in the Spirit makes demons fear YOU This isn’t about religion—it’s about authority. You’ve been given divine power to strike with accuracy, just like a serpent, and to walk in total victory over every demonic ruler trying to control your territory. Stay until the end as we pray for freedom, restoration, and fresh fire. What’s the ONE temptation you’ve been striking down this week? Drop it below 👇 so we can pray in agreement. Here are the author's notes from this week's message: Understanding Serpents Pt. 8 *- Just before Jesus sent His disciples out to minister, He gave them specific instructions: Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. Matthew 10:16 (KJV) *- Serpents have extremely poor eyesight and cannot hear airborne sounds, so they can’t rely on those senses for awareness. Yet, they rarely miss what they’re meant to hit. 1 John 3:8 AMPC *- rulers of the darkness of this world: lord of the world, prince of this age (the devil and demons are called in the plural, rulers). The devil and these demons hold dominions (territories) entrusted to them in the order of things in the realms of darkness. So, not only do demons love darkness, they lord over it relationally. Therefore, if we operate in relation to darkness (simple or extended disobedience to God, sin), demons lord over us because rulers have governmental power over those who operate under their rule. *- Lord (in reference to God): Whenever He speaks or acts to preserve, judge, or bless His people, biblical text often uses this personal name rather than a generic title “God,” stressing His intimate relationship with His covenant community. *- Let’s discover the first chronological instance in the Bible when God was called Lord, but first... In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1 KJV *- Here, “God” is Elohim, emphasizing God’s supreme creative power and authority — foundational before facing any enemy. These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens. Genesis 2:4 KJV *- The first mention of LORD God—shifting from Creator to Covenant-Keeper. This is crucial because the enemy often tries to strip away the “LORD” aspect to make God seem distant and impersonal. “Lord” is personal and relational—binding Himself to His creation through promise and care. 1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Genesis 3:1, 4, 5 KJV *- The serpent drops LORD and only says “God”—intentionally removing the covenant, personal relationship aspect to frame God as a distant authority rather than our faithful Father. *- Moses, the author of Genesis, returns to the personal relationship reference. 8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden. 9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? Genesis 3:8-9 KJV *- Jesus is Lord of His church, those who obey Him, and we know the world opposes (is opposite of) His church. And, just as Jesus is Lord of His church, the world also has lords whom they obey. *- We strike back and destroy the works of the rulers of the darkness of this world by obeying God only—strictly keeping all forms of the dark world out of our lives. Lifework Assignment: Ask the Holy Spirit to alert you the moment you’re knowingly or unknowingly about to step into darkness and be lorded over by the demon assigned to that area of evil. Expected Behavior: Do not turn to idols and things of nought or make for yourselves molten gods. I the Lord am your God. Leviticus 19:4 AMPC

Matthew 10:16 (KJV) *- Serpents have extremely poor eyesight and cannot hear airborne sounds, so they can’t rely on those senses for awareness. Yet, they rarely miss what they’re meant to hit. 1 John 3:8 AMPC *- How well did we address the works of demonic principalities this week? *- What are we to strike back with after demonic principalities present their works, like they did to Job? Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, Job 1:20 KJV *- We strike back and destroy the works of principalities by worshipping God. *- So, just as serpents strike with nearly perfect precision, what are we aiming to strike? For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12 KJV *- Again, we strike the works of demons on all levels. *- In terms of the evil forces we wrestle, who are the powers? *- powers: the leading and more powerful among created beings—superior to humans. 6 It has been solemnly and earnestly said in a certain place, What is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You graciously and helpfully care for and visit and look after him? 7 For some little time You have ranked him lower than and inferior to the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor and set him over the works of Your hands, 8 For You have put everything in subjection under his feet. Now in putting everything in subjection to man, He left nothing outside [of man’s] control. But at present we do not yet see all things subjected to him [man]. 9 But we are able to see Jesus, Who was ranked lower than the angels for a little while, crowned with glory and honor because of His having suffered death, in order that by the grace (unmerited favor) of God [to us sinners] He might experience death for every individual person. Hebrews 2:6-9 AMPC *- Yes, angels and demons (former angels) are superior to humans, and that is what puzzlingly scares Christians. Of course, any unarmed human will succumb to any demon, which is why Paul commanded us to arm ourselves with the whole armor of God. Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil. Ephesians 6:11 AMPC *- We strike back and destroy the works of powers by putting on and using the whole armor of God. Lifework Assignment: Ask the Holy Spirit to help your immediate responses to demons align precisely with what God has instructed, so that your actions fully please Him and you’ll have success at each encounter. Expected Behavior: God wants our trust anchored in His strength working through our lives, not in the strength of the problems we face.
What does it truly mean to be "wise as serpents and harmless as doves"? In this powerful and revealing message, Part 6 of the "Understanding Serpents" series, Apostle Shane Wall unpacks the spiritual wisdom we can glean from one of nature's most misunderstood creatures. Have you ever felt blindsided by life's circumstances or the actions of others? Apostle Wall teaches that true accuracy in the spirit isn't about what you can see or hear in the natural, but about discerning and moving according to the Word and the Spirit of God within you. Matthew 10:16 (KJV) *- Accuracy isn’t always about knowing everything. The disciples began with very little experiential knowledge. Sometimes, accuracy comes from being steady enough to wait and listen for God before striking. Serpents have extremely poor eyesight and cannot hear airborne sounds, so they can’t rely on those senses for awareness. Yet, they rarely miss what they’re meant to hit. *- So, what are we striking? For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 KJV *- God’s Word doesn’t just give us rules—it sharpens our aim and strengthens our discernment. It reveals what’s in front of us and shows us how to move with wisdom to fulfill our God-given assignments. When Jesus said, “Be wise as serpents,” He wasn’t telling us to be sneaky. He was teaching us—among other things—to discern what’s before us before we respond. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12 KJV *- Why are we forced to wrestle demons? *- God permits them to tempt us. *- Who are the powers, principalities, rulers of darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places? *- principalities: The first demon encountered, who’s in charge of setting up the order, time, and place of the evil to be done. That’s why it is called the principal demon. *- This demon loves the element of initial shock and surprise that he delivers because the shock bullies people into believing they’re powerless—not prepared to oppose the unexpected situation. *- In one day of Job’s life, Sabeans stole his oxen, killed his servants, fire consumed his sheep, Chaldeans stole his camels, and a great wind collapsed a house—killing all of his children. *- Principalities designed each event to feel instantaneous and overwhelming. 20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, 21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. 22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. Job 1:20-22 KJV *- In terms of the evil forces we wrestle (Ephesians 6:12), who are the powers? NEXT SUNDAY! Lifework Assignment: Holy Spirit, help me to obtain and activate everything God has given me—and all that is available to me—to prevent and destroy every work of the demons I encounter. Expected Behavior: God sees us as greater and more potent than every demon on Earth. He expects us to remain aware of our authority—and to use it boldly and effectively, according to His will, His Word, and His way.

In this powerful conclusion to the "Understanding Serpents" series, Apostle Shane Wall of The Feast of the Lord delivers a challenging and transformative message that will awaken your spirit. So often, we treat our relationship with God like a checklist, but God is calling us to so much more. He desires a relationship where we are not just hearers of the Word, but doers. This sermon dives deep into the biblical mandate to be "wise as serpents," revealing how the strategic and swift nature of a serpent can teach us profound lessons about our walk with God. Matthew 10:16 (KJV) I, Wisdom [from God], make prudence my dwelling, and I find out knowledge and discretion. Proverbs 8:12 AMPC *- prudence: combines the ideas of mental quickness, strategic foresight, and the capacity to conceal motives. 21 My son, let them not escape from your sight, but keep sound and godly Wisdom and discretion, 22 And they will be life to your inner self, and a gracious ornament to your neck (your outer self). 23 Then you will walk in your way securely and in confident trust, and you shall not dash your foot or stumble. *- God wants our confidence to be a result of our unwavering trust in Him, not in ourselves. *- So, relax—because when we depend solely on God’s Word and His Holy Spirit, even the hidden obstacles along dark paths won’t cause us to trip or fall. 24 When you lie down, you shall not be afraid; yes, you shall lie down, and your sleep shall be sweet. Proverbs 3:21-24 AMPC The beginning of Wisdom is: get Wisdom (skillful and godly Wisdom)! [For skillful and godly Wisdom is the principal thing.] And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation). Proverbs 4:7 AMPC But to man He said, Behold, the reverential and worshipful fear of the Lord–that is Wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding. Job 28:28 AMPC *- It’s my worshipful fear of the Lord that drives my decision to live holy—intentionally avoiding the dangers and consequences of sin, just as serpents instinctively avoid perceived dangers. A wise man is strong and is better than a strong man, and a man of knowledge increases and strengthens his power; Proverbs 24:5 AMPC *- Serpents may not be physically dominant, but their wisdom, discernment, accuracy, and speed make them undeniably powerful. *- If we perceive a situation as “too much,” “huge,” or “insurmountable,” it’s only because we’ve forgotten the force of what God placed within us. When we operate in wisdom, discernment, precision, and Spirit-led speed, even massive challenges will flee. *- Always respond quickly when God instructs you to—because your swift obedience strikes fear into demonic forces, just like a serpent’s speed startles even large, intimidating animals like horses. Lifework Assignment: Ask God to give you wisdom, and ask the Holy Spirit to highlight the moments to you when you use wisdom and enjoy a favorable outcome. Reflection Question: When was the last time I responded with godly wisdom instead of emotion, and what result did it produce that I might have otherwise missed? Journaling Prompt: Describe a moment this week when you sensed the Holy Spirit guiding you with wisdom. What did you hear, sense, or do differently—and how did the outcome confirm that wisdom was at work? Expected Behavior: We live in a world saturated with folly, carelessness, and hate. Because of this, we will continually pray for wisdom—so that, by being examples through our choices and visible actions, what is negative will flee and what is godly and good will thrive, in our lives and in the lives of others.
