Paul Doyle, C.S.C. Father Doyle grew up a Notre Dame fan in a small town in Virginia. His family would drive up to the top of the Blue Ridge Mountains to be able to tune in Irish games on the radio and listen. He first arrived on campus in 1961 as an undergrad and has been at Notre Dame pretty much ever since outside of his service to the U.S. National Guard. Fr. Doyle reflects on the beauty of Notre Dame, shares stories of his close friend and Heisman Trophy winner John Huarte and the joy it was for him to serve as chaplain to the team he grew up cheering for from 2001-2002.
