INDIE-RE #108 BY RADIO CAMPUS GRENOBLE Hello everyone, you’re listening to Indiere n°108, the emission that aims to introduce fresh, contemporary music from various genres - rock, hiphop, ska, pop, jazz, rap, trap, blues or whatever you can imagine and you are able to listen. The shows are broadcasted in Spain, Austria, Germany, France, Slovenia, Croatioa, Ireland and Hungary by many many community radios. And today, the emission is made by us, Rémy & Alice, for the first time! We are part of Radio Campus Grenoble, and we are going to introduce you some local artists from our town in the mountains, Grenoble. Let’s start with some techno! - And we just heard the title “J’oublie tout”, or “I forget everything” in english, from PULKO and with the voice of Meduz. This title is part of the EP “Free of Dyes”, out in may 2023. PULKO and Meduz are two young artists from Grenoble : Meduz is a multi-instrumentist musician, she plays the guitar, the piano and she sings. She writes lyrics full of poetry and sensitivity. She is now working on her first album, Sastruga. Pulko plays a fully hardware techno and expresses himself toward live music. We had the chance to interview him about his music, let’s listen to him! The 107th Irish edition of IndieRe promises to be a special episode, featuring a lineup of new releases and interviews with emerging talents from the Irish music scene. Hosted by Patrick Domanico, the show kicks off with Larks, a music project released by Fiona O’Kane, a gifted multi-instrumentalist hailing from Belfast. Following O’Kane's segment is the first interview of the episode with Tommy Cullen, who introduces his solo album "Enjoy the Glow". Continuing the showcase, HousePlants, a duo comprising Bell X1’s frontman Paul Noonan and renowned producer Daithí, presents their track "No Pushover." According to Noonan's interview with Hot Press, Paul says: "'No Pushover, lyrically, is the tale of an outsider, a wannabe insider. I was taken with a story about how Elon Musk and his brother like to talk about The Simulation Argument (that we’re all in a simulation) in the hot tub, and thought – is this the ultimate inner sanctum??”. It is suggested to listen to this song pumping-up the volume of your speakers. Enjoy the second interview of this episode with the rock band Dominda (pronounced doh-mind-dah) offering insights into the origins of their band name. Dominda comprises Ruaidhrí Whelan, Stephen Curtis, Luke Cunningham, Sean Curtis, and Barry Lysaght, promising a diverse and dynamic sound. Wrapping up the show is the Dance/Electronic music project Disfreq, hailing directly from Moville, Co. Donegal, Ireland. Their track "This Is Just A Dream" serves as the perfect conclusion to the episode's eclectic lineup. In 2018, Journalisme & Citoyenneté gathered more than 800 journalists from North-Africa, Sub-Saharian-Africa, Europe and from the Middle-East for the first International Journalism Conference in Tunis. This success gave birth to the Sahafa Med program, supported by the European Union, which aims to support independent journalism in the countries of the southern Mediterranean. The word Sahafa in Arabic means “journalists” and Med is short for Mediterranean. This partnership with the European Union aims to promote the independence of the media and freedom of expression in the neighboring countries of the Mediterranean basin (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon). INDEPENDENT RADIO EXCHANGE - IndieRE by Radio Student in Zagreb, Croatia The 105th edition of the IndieRe Broadcast brings you a new set of Croatian alternative scene artists from all over the country! First, we will hear an atmospheric post-metal band from Čakovec called Emphasis and two singles from their latest album Lazaret. In the following minutes we’ll be moving to the east, more precisely, to Slavonski Brod from where Vedran Živković talked to us about his band Nemeček and their new album Prokletije II which represent a unique mixture of traditional instruments and psychedelic noise rock. You will also hear few newly released singles by post-rock band Žen and brand-new ensemble of experienced jazz musicians called Peso Neto. The show will be closed with a special excerpt from live performance in Radio Student’s show Iskopčani Petak (Unplugged Friday) in which we hosted Tena Rak known as ŠećeЯ who performed some of her original tunes accompanied by female choir that got together led by the inspiration of celebrating the Women’s Day. L’approche des Jeux Olympiques suscite un regain d’intérêt pour le journalisme de sport en France. Au-delà de l'événement lui-même se pose la question de la représentation et des discriminations que peuvent subir les femmes dans ce domaine, qu'elles soient sportives ou journalistes. Pour explorer ces thématiques, vous pouvez écouter notre émission "Femmes et sports", diffusée le 28 mars 2024 en direct des Assises internationales du journalisme de Tours, de 16h à 17h, sur les Radio Campus. À travers diverses interviews, vous pourrez ainsi écouter des journalistes sportif.ive.s comme Mejdaline Mhiri, Emeline Odi et Paul Arrivé, qui vous parleront respectivement des VSS, de la place des femmes racisées dans le sport et de la place des femmes dans l'e-sport.
