Boku No Stop!

This week, it turns out people wanted to record on a holiday weekend, so Sibyl pitched the cursed topic of nationalism (positive and negative) in anime. We didn't 100% stick to anime, as you can possibly tell by the episode art. Or what may have kept her from wanting to take notes for a normal episode. The staff looks sick, no matter how punishing the grind is. Support Us: Patreon More Shows: Pitch Drop Network

In this episode of Boku No Stop! we discuss episodes 23-25 of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans. Content warnings: deaths in all shapes and sizes, gaslighting, body horror This week, we wrap our journey into freedom with IBO season one's climax, learn about Canadian politics through Leningrad metaphor, try to calculate the best way to orbital drop a 90 year old man safely into a crowded city, and finally decide that rather than grapple with the themes of this episode, to take a 25 minute detour into dog fashion and anime candle discussion. It's a hell of a time, folks. Wish Chris a farewell as we leave this feed behind for paywalled waters. Support Us: Patreon More Shows: Pitch Drop Network

In this episode of Boku No Stop! we discuss episodes 21-22 of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans. Content warnings: brutal child death via crushing A hero falls today, but nobody has to like it... and the cast don't! They fucking hate it, actually. Thankfully, your delightful hosts are having a good time as we move into the endgame of IBO: a road trip across Canada, with wacky neighbor "Montag" showing up for hijinks, and the denizens of Gjallarhorn House moving to crash the party at every turn. Iron Blooded Orphans: one of the only things Mari Okada has written that is somehow not a sex farce on any level. Support Us: Patreon More Shows: Pitch Drop Network

In this episode of Boku No Stop! we discuss episodes 19-20 of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans. Content warning: suicide, copious amounts of blood Here it comes, we're on the road to the finale now, no turning back once we make Earthfall! See our hosts all grapple with the family drama and internal tensions threatening to tear Tekkadan apart, as well as the very literal tensions and sensations tugging them towards a much more brutal gravity. Also: fish, and matters thereof. Determine who has the best taste in undersea critters, today on Boku no Stop! Support Us: Patreon More Shows: Pitch Drop Network

This week, have another bonus episode of our patreon series Radio Manga (in which Matt and Sibyl alternate deep-dives on single works with shotgun spreads of what each has been reading), but this time with a guest! Grant (of various podcasts across the years) joins the crew to take a look at Masamune Shirow's The Ghost in the Shell manga, a brief look at his career's English reflection, and a slightly horrified trip down the rabbit-hole of his modern output. Grant showed up because he's part of a new project their team is trying to launch, and a fresh Kickstarter launching alongside this special episode. Give it a listen and a look if you want to hear a shady uncle go after what they deserve in a cyberpunk landscape... or other actors. There are other actors too.
