This week on Toilet Radio: we’re talking about DIPSHITS and MORONS like Phil Labonte. But I swear to god we don’t spend too much time on it. Things are bad enough as is, we don’t gotta focus on ‘em. We ALSO talk about Vinnie Vincent making a big bet on himself by selling CDs with a single song for $300. God, I would love to have his confidence. In OLD GUY HARDCORE news: NJ Bloodline is BEEFING with Joe Hardcore over making boots of their old shirts. Why? That’s what hardcore is all about! Geezer Butler is using AI to try to make new music and that’s fuckin’ pathetic. The former vocalist of Dragonforce put together a modern “reimagined” version of Through the Fire and Flames and it sucks. Finally, we put the Dogma drama to rest with a definitive statement on who is behind the vast exploitation machine. Folks… it’s a good one.

Meet the intense, young band bringing UK82 back to ATL26.
Back in December I caught up with local (mostly) teenaged crusters Corporatocracy after a show with Atlanta extreme metal heavyweights Shepherds ov the Veil, Fleshgrid, and Dungeon Filth. By far the youngest band on the bill, after the show the other bands swarmed around them with praise for their stage presence and the energy they brought to the show. From my perch in the crowd, I’d have to agree. You don’t see many bands in Atlanta sporting anarchist literature at the merch table or drawing out balaclava-wearing crust punks to mosh in the pit. This band of three teenagers and one cool-assed dad has been punching way above their weight in the Atlanta music scene, so we’re happy to premiere an exclusive stream of their first self-titled EP (out January 16th) below. If you’ve ever wished you could go back in time and catch Discharge, Extreme Noise Terror, or Anti-Cimex as young, pissed-off punks full of piss and vinegar, check out the music and interview below.
Corporatocracy by Corporatocracy
Check out Corporatocracy on IG and stream or download their EP starting January 16th on BC (or Spotify if you’re lame).
This week on Toilet Radio: Clown from Slipknot started a Minecraft server and he’s more excited about it than anything he’s ever done in his life. Also, perhaps unsurprisingly, he’s really, really into A.I. We got an insane press release from ALCATRAZZ that airs out decades of petty annoyances, beefs, and drama at former band members. God bless the poor PR guy that had to actually type this manifesto. Tim Lambesis is getting aired out by his ex-wife and ex-band members because he’s a huge piece of shit. Among the many allegations of abuse, there’s also a claim that he possesses A.I. porno of the very illegal variety. Not great! Finally, Sean Killian is pissed at Phil Demmel for not wanting to continue to play shows with the band they briefly had 40 years ago. Folks… it’s a dramatic one.

We exhausted our resources to cobble together all the of the things that happened in heavy metal in 2025 that are worth knowing about. Fact-checked, peer-reviewed, and painstakingly sourced, we cover every major story from the year in review. What bands called it quits? What band (singular) started? What albums dropped? Why did everyone die? If you missed every other episode this year, get caught up on this last episode of 2025.

Merry holiday everyone. This week me and Jordan give a lil update on everyone’s favorite guy who got left on the side of the highway by his former bandmates, Kyle from Vitriol. Also, we’re opening some super siqqq gifts. Nikita from Svnseeker and Dylan from Diary of Doom sent us super sweet packages. We also got each other giant boxes of absolute nonsense. If you’re driving across the godless plains or stuck at your terrible job for the holidays (like me!), I hope you’ll join us for a mostly wholesome and happy Christmas episode.

We continue our annual tradition of crunching the numbers and determining the most popular “hard rock” and “heavy metal” singles of the year. It is dire, as is tradition. This year is even worse than expected. While you argue about which Bandcamp band with 200 purchases is most overrated, we’re tapping right into the mainstream to understand what tasteless drek the masses are actually consuming. The biggest bands continue to lean in to a faux-R&B style that is, frankly, just terrible. Over the next 90 minutes we talk about the biggest songs of the year and play you short snippets of each of these 25 songs so that you can also experience the pain we feel. Enjoy?

It’s an annual tradition. On the eve of the worst most popular metal and hard rock songs of the year, we celebrate by listening to the songs we liked best this year. Jordan didn’t find much in the world of heavy metal that turned his crank so he turned his ears to the sounds orbiting metal. Like every year, I just wanna rock so I found a few rockin’ tunes for you to get hyped to. If you like anything here, I highly recommend that you check out these bands and buy their albums, go see their shows, and otherwise hype them up. We will see you next week for the biggest mess of the year.

This week on Toilet Radio: Further updates on Dogma, the worker exploitation factory that also sometimes releases music. We talk about the saga of Vitriol, a tech death band that dumped their singer on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere on the middle of a tour. We had a twinge of sympathy for Kyle, the singer, until he started tweeting about his alter ego. Cradle of Filth, a licensed limited partnership, is being sued by former members for a ton of valid reasons including Dani Filth saying some out of pocket dumb bullshit about them. Music: it’s a still a business, just not a profitable one.

This week on Toilet Radio: We talk about year-end dread and discuss our listening habits for the fiscal year 2025. What old shit have we been digging instead of frantically refreshing Bandcamp? / As I Lay Dying got signed to Napalm Records??? It is currently 2025??? / We get really, really into the Welcome to Rockville 2026 lineup for reasons we don’t understand. Join us for a ton of rapid-fire hits on a ton of bands. Give us VIP press passes, please. / Slay Squad, one of the bands from Ash Avildsen’s short-lived reality show No Cover, is playing Hell Fest! / Manowar announced a big tour! In Germany! For 2027! Folks… it’s a good one.

This week on Toilet Radio: Fred Durst has been BANNED from Estonia due to his bizarre history with the Russian Federation. We talk about washed-up metal guys forming strange alliances with baltic states. ALSO, the new vocalist of Vulvodynia was announced and then IMMEDIATELY had accusations drop. Let’s play bingo with ChatGPT denial statements. Jeffrey Nothing of Mushroomhead says his homeopathic cancer treatments are working but I’m still skeptical that grape juice tinctures can defeat colorectal cancer tbqh. Finally, we do a deep dive on Dogma, a band you’re probably not familiar with. We dive into allegations that a shady manager and promoter has been hiring women as indentured servants and leaving to placed in custody when he refuses to provide them with legally required visas, all for the promise of $100 a performance. It’s a mess.

This week on Toilet Radio: We’re back to your regularly scheduled programming. Join us as we discuss the thrilling BRAND WAR taking place between rival packaged goods positioned at the 18-39 eXtrEmE male demographic. It’s the coffee-but-with-more-caffeine brand, Deathwish Coffee, versus water-in-a-can brand Liquid Death. Let’s venture capital into the fray. NEXT UP, we’re talking about the latest from the standard bearer in millennial mallgoth nostalgia, Sick New World. Finally, Tim Lambesis is BACK for As I Lay Dying 3.0. This time, it’s Baltic. Folks… it’s a good one.

It’s a very special episode this week as we’re joined by Chad Gray of Mudvayne to talk about the band’s reformation, new material, and having the pieces of your life come together. Skip to 37 minutes into this episode to hear Jordan’s excellent interview. To start the show it’s me and Jordan ranking the tiers of nu metal, talking about the forgotten history of Snot and Sugar Ray, discussing Dave Mustaine’s decision to cover Metallica on the final Megadeth record, and talking about how Ian Watkins got got in prison. Folks… It’s a good one.

This week Jordan is joined by returning champion Liz Layne! You’ll remember Liz from our episode on Trick Or Treat or from her many other cool podcasts and projects. This time we’re talking about The Dungeonmaster (1984), a horror anthology of sorts run by the notorious Charles Band of Puppetmaster, Evil Bong, The Gingerdead Man, etc. etc. infamy. This one HEAVILY features W.A.S.P. in their hard partying prime. It also heavily features Richard Moll from Night Court as an evil wizard. Listen in as Jordan and Liz talk about “little feller” horror, this film’s connection with Drab Majesty, and forgotten dime store erotic slashers like Zipperface. Folks… it’s a good one.
There’s only one episode of the October Spooktacular left. Sign up to the Patreon to hear the bonus episode in which me and Jordan cover Cronenberg’s misunderstood masterpiece, eXistenZ. Join us next week as we get back to your regularly scheduled podcasts about heavy metal.

The October Spooktacular continues! This week we’re joined by the Toilet’s own Joaquin Stick to watch David Cronenberg’s most divorced movie! We’re watching The Brood (1979), a simple tale of twisted little homunculi burst from the external sac of a hateful women and hellbent on beating people to death with tiny hammers. We’ve got pseudoscientific cults, slammin’ 70s style, hard-drinkin’ grandmas, proto-men’s rights activism, misogyny, and bloody fetus licking! Overall, Cronenberg was not in a great place when he made this movie! That sucks for him but we had a great time talking about it. Folks…….. it’s a good one. Join us next week for The Dungeonmaster (1984).

The October Spooktacular continues as we check out BLOODY MUSCLE BODY BUILDER IN HELL (a.k.a. The Japanese Evil Dead). Shot on a camcorder over a period of seven years and finally released about seventeen years after first starting, Bloody Muscle Body Builder in Hell is a mostly one-man labor of love. This one was written, directed, edited, starring, financed, and special effects all by Shinichi Fukazawa. If you’ve ever poured a ton of time and effort into creating a derivative metal album that will be listened to by maybe a dozen people, this is the movie for you. Join as we talk about extremely low-fidelity film quality, dodgy action shots, incredible stop-motion special effects, and unabashedly loving the thing that inspired you. FOLKS…….. it’s a good one. Join us next week for Cronenberg’s The Brood (1979).

The October Spooktacular continues as we sit down to watch Dark Match (2024), a Shudder original horror film about pro wrestling in late-80’s Canada. This one is directed by Lowell Dean (Wolf Cop), starring Ayisha Issa (Brick Mansions), Steven Ogg (The Walking Dead, Trevor in Grand Theft Auto V), and Chris Jericho (Sturgis Motorcycle Rally). Dark Match is a simple tale about a crew of wrestlers invited to perform at an off-the-grid private party that quickly becomes a satanic nightmare. It’s kinda like regional wrestling meets Green Room and also Mortal Kombat. We’re talking about grisly special effects, extremely dark lighting, wildly shifting tones, and Chris Jericho’s time at the Steven Seagal School of Acting While Sitting. Folks… it’s a good one.

The October Spooktacular is upon us yet again. Each week this October we’ll watch a different horror movie and talk about everything that makes it worthwhile. This week we’re watching Michael Mann’s (yes, that Michael Mann) bizarre second major motion picture. The Keep (1982) is a World War II period piece set against the Carpathian mountains as Nazis invade Romania and discover a fortress built not to keep things out, but keep them in. Propelled by a sick ass Tangerine Dream soundtrack and visuals you will not find in any other 80s horror, this is a unique picture. Is it as good as Thief, Collateral, Heat, or Miami Vice? Absolutely not! The production of The Keep was a tragicomedy of errors but the finished product is still very much worth your time. Lets talk about what happens when a five star director makes a two star horror flick.

Since the very first power chord rang out through the atmosphere, musicians have longed to combine distorted guitars with dumb jokes. This week we’re exploring the music and comedy. We’re going from the origins of court jesters to mid-century novelty hits to four decades of comedy metal. Sometimes it works! Most of the time it does not. Bands featured here include GWAR, Green Jelly, Psychostick, Piledriver, Raised by Owls, Killitorous, and much, much more. Put on your chucklehats and watch us lean against a brick wall while we perform a tight 60 on this week’s show.

It’s time that we sit down and hash out the most important issue of our time: what exactly *IS* post metal? On this jam-damn-packed continuation of our subgenre miniseries, Jordan and I discuss our lengthy experiences in the post metal scene and try our best to hammer some square pegs into round holes. We’re talking about looooooooooooooong songs with non-conventional structures and trying to figure out what post metal guys think pop music is. Bands featured on this show include Neurosis, Burst, The Ocean, Cult of Luna, Isis, Pelican, and Jesu (among many others). Folks, it’s a good one.

This week on Toilet Radio: We start the show with a bummer by discussing the Brent Hinds’ unexpected passing but we quickly reverse course by talking about a guy beating off at a KoRn concert. James Hatfield wants to sell you high-end Metallica-branded professional construction equipment. Ronnie “The Rat” Radke lost his lawsuit against Anthony Fantano, sued the wrong Anthony Fantano in the process. Finally, Cradle of Filth have done the impossible: they’ve exhausted my appetite for drama. Folks, it’s a good one.

*David Foster Wallace's piece was an actual essay, not a short story.
