The creators of Pathways to Family Wellness envision a world of thriving, empowered families who easily connect to inner and outer resources, practitioners and a supportive community needed to create wholeness on all levels of existence. In this episode we have the privilege of speaking with Peter Gray, PhD about his article featured in Issue 75 of Pathways to Family Wellness Magazine. The article is titled, "Childhood Education: How Early Academic Training Stifles Children's Learning." Peter Gray is a research professor of psychology and neuroscience at Boston College who has conducted and published research in neuroendocrinology, developmental psychology, anthropology, and education. He is author of an internationally acclaimed introductory psychology textbook (Psychology, Worth Publishers, now in its 8 th edition), which views all of psychology from an evolutionary perspective. His recent research focuses on the role of play in human evolution and how children educate themselves through play and exploration, when they are free to do so.
