There are rituals about to unravel... True stories of Scottish magic unfold after eight children are found in a mysterious lodge. Will you unlock their secrets before it is too late? --- After a long, convoluted history that will perhaps be told one day, CALEDONIAN GOTHIC begins on 28 October 2018. It is a very different beast to how it started life — but that is what happens to organic beings, they grow and mutate. This is a beast we have nurtured and fed and we are very excited for it to be unleashed. So come back here, or to your podcast provider of choice, on 28 October, and the game can begin... Keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter for further developments. --- Sounds & Text: Ali Maloney Theme tune: David Devereux (Tin Can Audio) Logo: Calum MacAskill www.caledoniangothic.com

In which a pantry is raided, a photocopier is fixed, and a tape is recorded.
A story of bells ringing in the snow, written by Soren Narnia.
The first of a few Isolation Tales to keep you entertained while shackled in your dank dungeons. First, one I have been been meaning to do for ages, and my favourite slice of cosmic horror, The Music of Erich Zann by HP Lovecraft.
Stay at home, stay weird. Continuing this small isolation run of some of our favourite horror/weird tales, we are pleased to present In The Penal Colony, from the Cockroach King himself, Franz Kafka, originally written in 1919. Content Warning: detailed descriptions of torture. Uses the public domain translation by Ian Johnston: http://web.archive.org/web/20041204170925/http://www.mala.bc.ca/~johnstoi/kafka/inthepenalcolony.htm
Continuing this small series of lockdown readings, gathering some of our favourite horror/weird tales, is this wee beastie from Knifepoint Horror, written by Soren Narnia. There will probably be one more story before returning to the writing dungeon, where Season 2 is slowly bubbling in cauldrons and plague pits. If you have any particular requests, please tag us with them on social media (or whisper them to a dead wasp). Stay weird, stay home. Ax
