In this episode of The Grove Podcast, Shelley Gigilo sits down with her friend and longtime Grove girl, Jennie Lusko. Jennie Lusko is a best-selling author, podcast host, wife, mom of five, and she pastors Fresh Life Church alongside her husband, Levi. Shelley and Jennie have a heartfelt conversation about becoming the women God designed us to be.  Together they reflect on the surprising ways God prepares us for our callings long before we understand them, and how flourishing often comes through seasons of difficulty, perseverance, and small acts of obedience. Jennie shares candidly about marriage, motherhood, loss, and the slow, steady growth that happens when we plant ourselves in community. Shelley offers wisdom on practicing obedience, cultivating awareness, and fighting the good fight of faith — even when we don’t feel it. Their conversation is full of encouragement for women who are in the in-between seasons, waiting for fruit, longing for clarity, or navigating the tensions of real life. It’s a reminder that God is faithful in every step, and that we flourish best when we walk together. The Grove is an extension of all God is doing at Passion City Church in Atlanta, Georgia. In this episode of The Grove Podcast, Shelley Giglio sits down with her dear friend and a long-time Grove girl, Courtney Pray Duke, to celebrate the release of Courtney’s book And She Got Up : Shattered by Loss, Restored by Jesus and to trace the journey that shaped it. Courtney shares how everything changed in her life the day Andrew died in a bicycle accident — an instant that turned a bright day into “the darkest night of the soul.”With honesty and tenderness, Courtney recounts the disorienting fog of grief, the fight to keep going for her three young children, and the unexpected ways God met her in the lowest moments. From a pivotal encounter with God at Passion 2013 to the daily practice of anchoring her life in scripture, Courtney unpacks how faith can be tested in the fire — and how God’s presence can become most real in the valley.Shelley and Courtney also talk about the power of community, learning to speak truth out loud, and the long obedience of writing the story down. Ultimately, this conversation is an invitation: if Jesus brought life to her story, He can bring life to yours too. And She Got Up releases on February 24, but you can pre-order your copy today. In this episode, we’re joined by the wise and wonderful Lisa Harper — author, Bible teacher, and one of the most joy-filled voices in the Church today. With her trademark humor and heartfelt honesty, Lisa shares a powerful conversation with Shelley Giglio about theology, friendship, and the beauty of living in a deep community connection. Lisa opens up about her early struggles with inadequacy and how, for a time, theology became a mask she wore rather than a lens through which she could truly see Jesus. But as God gently reshaped her heart, Lisa began to understand that real theology is deeply relational, all about knowing Christ and letting that knowledge transform our lives. In this conversation, Lisa lets us into how that revelation has impacted her view on community, and challenges us to do the same. She also gives us a glimpse into what God is doing through her Kerygma Conference and her new book, “A Jesus Shaped Life.” In true Lisa Harper fashion, this episode is filled with both deep belly laughs and powerful theological truths, serving as a reminder to us that theology isn’t just for classrooms or scholars, but for every woman longing to know Jesus and walk with Him more closely. The Grove is an extension of all God is doing here at Passion City Church in Atlanta, Georgia, to serve and care for women everywhere. This podcast resonated with me A LOT! Especially the part about being content in my singleness but also having moments when a heaviness comes over me. Last week, I felt it when I had to move heavy furniture around the house. Had a good laugh about it but felt the heaviness for a while there.
