Wow, what a race the 2026 Houston Supercross was! The Triple Crown format always yields some intense racing, but last weekend's race took the cake, with the overall winner in the premier 450 division not being decided until the very end! Of course, we all know that defending Supercross Champion Cooper Webb used consistency to earn his first win of the season, doing so without winning any of the three main events. At the same time, Ken Roczen, Hunter Lawrence, and Eli Tomac each lit the candles. The 250 Western Division, in contrast, was a statement from defending champion Haiden Deegan, who handily won all three main events and notched his third consecutive win. Levi Kitchen and Cameron McAdoo rounded out the podium. We cover all of this, and more, on this week's show!

When Bryar Holcomb was a winning professional racer (heck, he won the 1972 Los Angeles Supercross on a 500!), his father encouraged him to walk away from racing and go to college with a more stable career in mind. And guess what? That's exactly what Bryar did! Holcomb went to college, got a degree in marketing, and landed a job selling ads at a motorcycle magazine before launching a couple of businesses and going on to make a wonderful living in the motorcycle industry. "Wherever you are in life, just try hard," said Holcomb. "Remember to be a good person and be thankful for the good things in life."

Well, the Southern California leg of the 2026 Supermotocross World Championship has come to a close, and the Anaheim Two Supercross was packed with action on the track, in the stands, and back in the pits! The Swapmoto Live team of Chase Curtis, Donn Maeda, and Alex Ray go over everything that they saw, heard, and learned at Angels Stadium last Saturday!

For as exciting as the Anaheim One season kickoff was, round two inside San Diego's Snapdragon Stadium was 10 times more thrilling. From the three-way battle for the 450 win to Chase Sexton's last-to-fourth jaunt through the field, and from Haiden Deegan's authoritative pass on teammate Max Anstie for the 250 win to Levi Kitchen's last-to-fourth comeback...there was a lot to talk about on this week's Kickstart Podcast by Maxxis and Outhouse Coffee Co.!

We were driving through Menifee, California, yesterday, and passed by Jeremy McGrath's race shop - which also used to be home to SML - and saw that MC was out front working on his Kawasaki KRX UTV. We pulled in to say hello, and thought it would be a great opportunity to catch up with McGrath and see what he's been up to! Of course, we also reminisced about some good old times, plus did some bench racing about last weekend's Anaheim One Supercross! Enjoy!

Last Saturday night, Eli Tomac earned the 54th 450 Supercross win of his career at Angels Stadium and made it 12 seasons straight that he has won at the highest level of the sport. "Wow, that makes me feel pretty ancient," he joked. "But winning Anaheim One is the big one - it's our Indy 500, right?" ET3 joined us for this installment of the 6D Helmets Midweek Podcast to talk about the WSX rounds, pre-season testing, what it's like to work with Roger DeCoster, and lots more. To hear him say that he gets stoked to pull up to the track and see his new KTM is just plain cool...enjoy!

Where do we even begin? The Anaheim One Supercross was everything that we had hoped it would be, and more! From the old guard - Eli Tomac, Ken Roczen and Max Anstie - showing that age and experience can still rule supreme, to the pleasant surprises of Jorge Prado and Ryder DiFrancisco and their first-ever podium showings, there was so much to recap on today's show that we went twice as long as normal! What were your biggest takeaways from the Supermotocross season kickoff? Comment below...we wanna know!

Unless you're one of the elite few who earn a factory ride, racing Supercross and motocross professionally is not sustainable for years on end. Finding a career that keeps you involved in the sport you love is the dream for most racers when they retire, but even that can be a challenge. Jared Hicks was a Supercross privateer who teamed up with German privateer Philipp Klakow to start a custom graphics company to support their racing habit, way back in 2011. These days, Backyard Design USA has grown exponentially, and Hicks and Klakow are working full-time to grow their company from both sides of the globe. Hicks is also one of Dirt Bike Magazine's staple test riders, so he still gets to spend plenty of time in the saddle of a motocross bike. Jared joins us on this week's 6D Helmets Midweek Podcast for a super-enjoyable chat!
The sport received some massive news over the weekend regarding 450 Supercross Championship contender Jett Lawrence and an injury he suffered on Friday, during a practice crash. Alex Ray and Chase Curtis discuss Jett's injury, how it changes things for his championship rivals, some late silly-season news, and more on this week's Kickstart Podcast!

The last race at the last stop of the entire FIM WSX World Supercross Championship provided some excellent racing last weekend, as Joey Savatgy and Jason Anderson traded numerous passes for the lead and ultimately, the 2025 WSX World Championship, with El Hombre prevailing and earning his first World Championship title. Shane McElrath, meanwhile, dominated the final stop with a complete sweep of the racing, but ot wasn't enough to keep Max Anstie from stripping him of his number-one plate. We recap all that action, plus the Supermotocross media days last week, and a lot more, in this week's Kickstart Podcast by Maxxis and Outhouse Coffee Co.

Jerry Robin has long been a fixture on the pro motocross and Supercross circuit, as one of the sport's most prominent privateer racers. His life took a drastic turn on April 19th, though, when he crashed during practice at the East Rutherford Supercross and suffered paralyzing injuries. Through it all, Robin has approached his recovery, therapy, and new life path with the same intensity that brought him success on the racetrack, and only eight months post-injury, he seems to have his new life pretty well figured out. Last week, Robin started a job with his sponsor, FXR Racing, the Canadian MX apparel brand that has made huge strides in American motocross. We caught up with Jerry this afternoon for a super enjoyable conversation.
Kristen Beat joins us on this week's Kickstart Podcast by Maxxis and Outhouse Coffee Co., fresh off the plane home from the Gold Coast of Australia, where she worked as a member of the broadcast team at the third round of the FIM WSX World Supercross Championship. We go over everything that went down at last weekend's Supercross, and also some fun and stories from the holiday weekend at the Day in the Dirt Grand Prix!

Kenny Alexander is a lifelong motocross racer who's made a great career for himself in the Hollywood stunt industry. Still, to us, he's the man who founded Fasthouse and also created the Day in the Dirt Motocross Grand Prix. With the Thanksgiving holiday only a few days away, that means that our favorite race of the year is literally upon us, so we got Alexander on the phone to talk about all things Fasthouse, Day in the Dirt, and moto!

We just wrapped up our 2026 450 MX Shootout last week, and SML Senior Test Rider Pat Foster joins us on this week's show to talk about bikes, testing, and more. Nine bikes a day, two days in a row, is no joke, and we all learned a lot over the time we spent on all of the machines. We also preview the upcoming WSX Supercross in Australia, and more. Enjoy!

It was a successful weekend for the KTM Group, as Eli Tomac made a winning debut aboard his new Red Bull KTM in Canada, and Malcolm Stewart used his Rockstar Husqvarna to earn the King of Paris Crown in France! We were on hand in Vancouver for the second round of the FIM WSX World Championship Supercross Series, and getting to see Tomac compete on his KTM 450 SX-F for the first time was really something. We talk about that and more, on this week's Kickstart Podcast presented by Maxxis and Outhouse Coffee Co.

The 2025/26 FIM World Supercross Championship kicked off last weekend in Buenos Aires City, Argentina, and while we tuned in on the Recast broadcast, our friend Kristen Beat was there working as part of the broadcast team and got to see the action, first-hand. That said, we had Kristen join us on the show this morning to give us her insight and input about all things WSX, then we shifted our attention to last week's Red Bull KTM team launch, and more! Enjoy!
Presented by 6D HelmetsWhether Dave Castillo's name rings a bell for you or not, we're willing to bet that you have unknowingly enjoyed his work in one way or another. A professional racer in the 90s, Castillo is the son of Jim Castillo, founder of Innovation Sports, the brand that practically invented knee bracing. After curtailing his full-time racing efforts, Dave teamed up with his dad to create Asterisk, the most successful off-the-shelf knee brace company in our sport. Concurrently, Dave began a career in Hollywood as a stuntman. Early on, Castillo specialized in two-wheeled stunts, but eventually grew into other aspects of the industry, including stunt coordinating. Currently, Dave is still busy in Hollywood and remains connected with his motocross roots by racing the annual Day in the Dirt Motocross Grand Prix that started out as a Hollywood stunt event, but also with his family company Intake Breathing, which produces the breathing kit that utilizes two small stick-on steel discs and a magnetic nose clip that expands your nasal passages.

Wow that Brennan guy has an annoying nasally voice and sounds like I don't know weasely.
