In honor of the late Ennio Morricone, Michael and Dave travel to Old West, a land of gunslingers, Brooklyn-accented New Mexican bandits, and Clint Eastwood. Just kidding, it's Spain. We're talking about the 1966 Spaghetti masterpiece THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY, and its equally masterful score. As a bonus, Michael clicks furiously on the world's loudest mouse, and Dave casually eats a bag of chips with his mic unmuted.
Capital in the Twenty-first Century attempts to recount the history of inequality and capitalism since the Industrial Revolution. That's a lot to chew on, and Michael and David discuss whether it was too much.
From the comfort of their own homes, Dave and Michael review the new The Invisible Man starring Elizabeth Moss, directed by Leigh Whannell. The movie is undoubtedly scary enough but has a lot to say about the consequences when we doubt women. Dave was so excited to see a deserving heir to the original Invisible Man that he almost wore pants while recording. Michael obsessively played with a coin on his desk, not realizing his computer mic would pick up the noise. Sorry about that.   Time notes 0-10:00 Welcome and Review 10:00-40:00 The History of "Invisible Man" on film 40:00 - End Thematic analysis and consideration of how the movie ends
