At the top of the show, a somber moment as we remember Chadwick Boseman. In the news, Gamescom kicks off their online show, Geoff Kieghley confirms the Game Awards for this December and Nintendo is now Japan's richest company. All that and Dan and Dave find out you can remap your X and O buttons if you own a Japanese PS4 on episode 233 of Rated G for Gamers.
Sony drops their August State of Play and there's some good surprises in there. We get gameplay of Godfall, Hitman VR gets announced and a Braid remaster is coming. Also in the news, Rocksteady is working on a Suicide Squad game and Microsoft's xCloud is launching in September amid Sony and Apple rejecting their app. All that and Dave recounts his brief flirtation with game development oh so many years ago.
After a long hiatus, Rated G is back! This episode is bittersweet because it's Dave's last show. He'll be stepping down from hosting duties and the show will be going through some changes. We may be finally coming to the end of the Activision Blizzard acquisition court case! At the end of this month, a court ruling will decide whether or not Microsoft can move forward with the acquisition. If they get denied, Microsoft claims they will walk away. Very interesting times indeed. Also in the news, Red Dead Redemption and Assassin's Creed 4 - Black Flag may be getting remakes and the Gulf War Gameboy moves from it's Nintendo World Store location in New York. All that and the games coming out this month and Dan and Dave's game of the half year. What a jam packed episode!
