This is episode 99 from season two back in November of 2020. Mofo brings so much inspiration with his epic stories and as he'll tell you, being at the right place at the right time. Raised in Escondido; Mofo is a straight up legend—a pioneer who created or helped create much of what drew me into the world of skateboarding. Judi Oyama ends 2024 with an in person visit and great discussion. We chopped it up in her backyard Woman-Cave and talked growing up in Santa Cruz area, skating in the 70s, Winchester, hanging with Hutson, Santa Cruz skateboards and Independent Trucks, driving Olson and crew over the hill to skate the park, being there for Blackharts roll-in Indy ad, helping create the wave mural at Mike Fox park, downhill slalom, skating in her 60s and much more.
