Day 365 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. Nehemiah 13 is about Nehemiah's efforts to keep the people of Jerusalem faithful to God's laws. When he returns to Jerusalem, he finds that some people have broken the rules, like working on the Sabbath and marrying non-Israelites. Nehemiah works hard to fix these problems, reminding everyone to follow God's ways and keep the city and their lives dedicated to God. Revelation 22 is the last chapter of the Bible. It describes the beautiful, peaceful place called the New Jerusalem, where God and Jesus live with people. It talks about the River of Life and the Tree of Life, which bring health and life to everyone. The chapter ends with promises that Jesus will come back soon and an invitation for everyone to come to God. It's a message of hope and a final reminder to live in a way that's pleasing to God. Day 364 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. Nehemiah 11:22-12:47 tells about the leaders and families who lived in Jerusalem and nearby villages after the city's walls were rebuilt. It lists priests and Levites who were in charge of worship in the temple, including singing, playing instruments, and keeping things organized. This part of the Bible shows the importance of community and worship, and how everyone has a special role in serving God and each other. Revelation 21 describes a beautiful vision of a new heaven and a new earth, where God will live among His people. In this place, there will be no more sadness, tears, or pain. The chapter talks about the New Jerusalem, a splendid city with walls of jewels, streets of gold, and gates of pearls. It's a symbol of a perfect, peaceful place where God's love and presence are always with us. This chapter gives hope and reminds Christians of the wonderful future God has promised to those who believe in Him. Day 363 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. In Nehemiah 9:38-11:21, the Israelites make a big promise to God after realizing they haven't been following His ways. They agree to follow God's rules, like keeping the Sabbath day holy and not marrying people who don't worship God. Then, lots of people volunteer to live in Jerusalem, the main city, to help rebuild and protect it. It's about the community coming together, making a commitment to God, and working hard to make their city strong and faithful. In Revelation 20, John talks about some big events at the end of time. First, Satan is captured for 1,000 years while Jesus reigns with His followers. After that, Satan is freed but then defeated for good. Next, there's a big judgment where everyone, living and dead, is judged by God. It's about the final defeat of evil and God's ultimate judgment, showing that good wins in the end. Day 362 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. Nehemiah 9:1-37 is about the Israelites coming together to confess their sins and remember their history. They fast, wear special clothes, and separate themselves from non-Israelites. They stand and read from the Book of the Law of the Lord, their God, for a quarter of the day, and for another quarter, they confess and worship the Lord. They also remember how God helped their ancestors, from Abraham to their escape from Egypt and journey through the wilderness, despite their ancestors often disobeying God. This passage shows the importance of remembering history, confessing sins, and God's continuous love and guidance. In Revelation 19:11-21, John describes a vision of Jesus returning as a mighty warrior on a white horse, called Faithful and True. He comes to judge and fight with justice. His eyes are like fire, and he wears many crowns, with a name written that only he knows. He wears a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven follow him, also on white horses and dressed in fine linen. An angel invites birds to feast on the enemies of God. Jesus defeats the beast and the false prophet, who are thrown into a fiery lake. This passage symbolizes Jesus' final victory over evil. Day 361 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. Nehemiah 7:4 to chapter 8 tells about rebuilding Jerusalem's walls and the people rediscovering God's laws. Nehemiah finds that the city is big but with few people. He organizes a census to identify the residents. Then, in chapter 8, Ezra the priest reads God's laws to the people. They listen attentively, and many feel sad because they haven't been following these laws. Nehemiah and Ezra encourage them to be joyful because understanding God’s words is a reason to celebrate. This story highlights the importance of knowing and following God's teachings. Revelation 18:17 to 19:1-10 describes the fall of a great city, symbolizing evil, and the joy in heaven over its defeat. In 18:17-24, it tells about the city's sudden destruction and how the world mourns its loss, symbolizing the end of evil systems. Then in chapter 19, there's a shift to heaven, where there's great rejoicing. A large crowd in heaven praises God for judging evil and for the coming marriage of the Lamb, representing Jesus, to His people. This part of Revelation shows the contrast between the sadness over the fall of evil and the joy in heaven for God's justice and the celebration of good defeating evil. Audio Bible Day 360 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. In Nehemiah 5, Nehemiah sees the poor being treated unfairly and helps them by asking the rich to be kind and not overcharge. In Nehemiah 6, people try to scare Nehemiah to stop him from rebuilding Jerusalem's wall. He stays brave, doesn't give in to fear, and finishes the wall. Nehemiah 7:1-3 talks about Nehemiah setting up guards for the city and giving instructions on how to keep the city safe. This teaches us to be fair, brave, and responsible in taking care of what we have worked hard to build. In Revelation 18:1-17, it talks about the fall of a big, rich city called Babylon. An angel announces that Babylon has fallen because it was bad and made others do bad things too. The city was very rich and powerful, but now it's empty and sad. People who did business with Babylon are upset because they can't make money from it anymore. This part of the Bible reminds us that doing wrong things can lead to bad consequences, and that wealth and power don't last forever if they are used in the wrong way. Audio Bible Day 359 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. In Nehemiah chapters 3 and 4, the story is about rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. Nehemiah leads the people in this big project, and everyone works together, each group repairing a different part of the wall. But they face challenges and opposition from people who don't want the wall rebuilt. Despite this, they keep working, trusting in God and even setting up guards to protect themselves while they work. It's a story about teamwork, faith, and overcoming obstacles. Revelation 17 in the Bible is a vision about a woman named "Babylon the Great," who represents evil and corruption. She is seen sitting on a beast with seven heads and ten horns, symbolizing powerful, worldly kingdoms. The vision shows that these evil forces are strong, but it also tells us they will eventually be defeated. It's a chapter about the battle between good and evil, and how good will win in the end. Day 358 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. In Nehemiah 1-2, Nehemiah, who works for the king in a land far from his home, learns that his hometown, Jerusalem, is in ruins. He feels very sad and prays to God for help. The king notices Nehemiah's sadness and asks why. Nehemiah explains and asks the king if he can go back to rebuild Jerusalem. The king says yes and even gives Nehemiah supplies for the project. Nehemiah travels to Jerusalem and starts planning the rebuilding of the city walls, inspiring the people to work together. In Revelation 16, seven angels are given seven bowls filled with God's anger. Each angel pours out a bowl, causing different disasters. The first bowl causes painful sores on people who did wrong. The second and third bowls turn seas and rivers into blood. The fourth bowl makes the sun scorching hot. The fifth bowl brings darkness and pain. The sixth bowl dries up a big river, preparing for a big battle. The seventh bowl causes earthquakes and huge hailstones. These events are signs of God's power and judgment at the end of times. Day 357 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. In Ezra 10, the people of Israel realize they have broken God's rules by marrying people who didn't follow God. They decide to follow Ezra's guidance to make things right by ending those marriages and promising to follow God's rules from now on. It's about admitting mistakes and trying to fix them. In Revelation 15, John sees a vision of heaven where people who remained faithful to God, even when things were really tough, are celebrating their victory. They sing a song praising God's great deeds and fairness. This chapter sets the stage for God's final judgments to be delivered on earth. It's about God's justice and the reward for staying faithful. Day 356 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. In Ezra 8:15-9:1-15, Ezra, a leader of the Israelites, organizes a group of people to return to Jerusalem from Babylon. He makes sure they have priests with them. When they arrive, Ezra discovers that some of the Israelites, including priests and leaders, have married people from nearby nations who don't follow God. This is against what God had instructed. Ezra feels very sad about this and prays to God, admitting the mistake and asking for guidance. This part of the Bible teaches about the importance of following God's instructions and being honest when mistakes are made. In Revelation 14:1-20, John sees a vision of Jesus (the Lamb) standing on Mount Zion with 144,000 people who have God's name written on their foreheads. These people are faithful to God. Then, three angels appear: the first one says to honor God because the time of judgment has come, the second announces the fall of Babylon (a symbol of evil), and the third warns against worshiping the beast and its image. After this, there's a vision of the earth's harvest, symbolizing God's judgment. The good grain (God's people) is saved, while the grapes (the wicked) are thrown into the winepress of God's wrath. This part of the Bible is about God's judgment and the importance of staying faithful to Him. Day 355 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. Ezra 7:11-8:1-14 talks about a priest named Ezra who was given a letter by the king of Persia. The letter gave Ezra permission to go to Jerusalem and teach the people there about God's laws. Ezra gathered a group of Israelites, including priests and Levites, and they prepared to travel from Babylon to Jerusalem. This journey was important because it was part of God's plan to help His people learn more about Him and live according to His laws. Revelation 13:1-18 describes two beasts. The first beast comes out of the sea, has seven heads, ten horns, and is very powerful, getting its power from a dragon. The second beast comes out of the earth, has two horns like a lamb but speaks like a dragon. This second beast makes people on earth follow the first beast and marks them with a number, 666, known as the "mark of the beast." This part of Revelation is a symbolic way to talk about evil powers and how they can influence people away from God. Day 354 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. In Ezra 6, King Darius of Persia confirms a decree made by King Cyrus, allowing the Jews to rebuild their temple in Jerusalem. The temple is completed and dedicated with joyous celebrations. In Ezra 7:1-10, Ezra, a skilled teacher of God's laws, is granted permission by King Artaxerxes of Persia to go to Jerusalem. Ezra is happy because God's hand is guiding him to teach the people His laws. In Revelation 12, a vision shows a woman representing God's people, giving birth to a child who is taken to God's throne, while a dragon representing evil tries to attack them. The dragon is defeated and thrown to earth, where it continues to oppose the people of God. Revelation 13:1 introduces a beast, representing powerful and oppressive rulers, rising from the sea, empowered by the dragon, and opposing God and His people. Day 353 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. In Ezra 4:6-24, the story tells about how some people who were against the Israelites rebuilding the Temple in Jerusalem wrote letters to various kings, including King Artaxerxes, to stop the construction. They claimed that rebuilding Jerusalem and its Temple would lead to rebellion against the kings. The king believed these claims and ordered the construction to stop, which it did until the reign of King Darius. This passage shows how the Israelites faced opposition and challenges in their efforts to rebuild their city and worship place. In Revelation 11, two witnesses for God are given power to prophesy for 1,260 days. They perform miracles and are eventually killed, but after three and a half days, God brings them back to life and takes them to heaven. Also, the seventh trumpet sounds, leading to loud voices in heaven declaring God's kingdom and celebrating His reign. This chapter symbolizes God's power, the importance of His message, and the eventual triumph of good over evil. Day 352 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. In Ezra 2:68 to 4:1-5, the Israelites return to Jerusalem from exile. When they arrive, some people donate money to rebuild God's temple. However, when they start rebuilding, neighboring people who don't worship God try to stop them. They even write to the king to try to make the Israelites stop working. This shows that even when trying to do something good, there can be challenges and people who try to interfere. In Revelation 9:13 to chapter 10, John sees more visions about the end times. He hears an angel blow a trumpet, and this signals scary things like a big army and harmful plagues. Then, another angel appears with a little book. John is told to eat the book, which tastes sweet but makes his stomach bitter. This part of Revelation shows how God's messages can be good but also hard to accept, and it reminds us that God is in control even when scary or tough things happen. Day 351 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. In Ezra 1-2:1-67, King Cyrus of Persia allows the Jewish people to return to Jerusalem after being exiled in Babylon. He even helps them rebuild the Temple by returning items taken by the Babylonians. Many Jewish families make the journey back, and they're listed by name in these chapters. It's a time of hope and new beginnings for them as they start rebuilding their lives and their place of worship in Jerusalem. In Revelation 8-9:1-12, it talks about seven angels with seven trumpets, each causing different events when they blow their trumpets. When the first four angels blow their trumpets, various disasters strike the earth, like hail and fire, a burning mountain falling into the sea, and a star falling on rivers. The fifth angel's trumpet causes a star to fall from heaven, opening a bottomless pit. From this pit, locust-like creatures emerge and torment people who do not have God's mark. These chapters in Revelation are about warnings and judgments during the end times. Day 350 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. In Malachi 2:17 to 4, God talks to His people about how they've been acting wrongly, questioning His justice. He promises to send a messenger to prepare the way for Him. Then, God Himself will come to judge and purify people. The last chapter gives hope: those who respect God will be blessed, but those who do bad things will face judgment. It ends with a promise to send Elijah before a great and terrible day of the Lord, to turn hearts towards each other and God. In Revelation 7, John sees two groups: First, 144,000 people from Israel's tribes are marked to be protected by God. Then, he sees a huge crowd from all over the world standing before God's throne in heaven. They praise God, and it's explained that they went through hard times but now they're with God, who will take care of them forever. It's a vision of hope and God's care for His people through tough times. Day 349 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. In Malachi 1 and 2:1-16, God is speaking to the people of Israel. He reminds them of His love and warns the priests about not honoring Him properly. He's upset because they offer blemished sacrifices, which disrespects Him. God wants the priests to be sincere and teach His ways truthfully. He also talks about how people should be faithful in their marriages and not be unfair to their wives. This section of the Bible teaches about respecting and honoring God, and being faithful and fair in our relationships. In Revelation 6, John describes a vision of the opening of the first six seals by Jesus. Each seal reveals something different: The first seal introduces a rider on a white horse, symbolizing conquest. The second seal reveals a rider on a red horse, representing war. The third seal shows a rider on a black horse, symbolizing famine. The fourth seal brings a rider on a pale horse, representing death. The fifth seal reveals the souls of those who were killed for believing in God, asking for justice. The sixth seal causes great natural disasters, like earthquakes and the sun turning black, showing God's power and the coming judgment. This chapter in the Bible is about God's power and the big changes that will happen in the world at the end of times. Day 348 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. Esther 9-10 tells about how the Jewish people were saved from a plot to destroy them, thanks to Queen Esther and her cousin Mordecai. The king allowed them to defend themselves against their enemies. The Jewish people celebrated their victory with a holiday called Purim. Mordecai became an important leader, respected for his wisdom and fairness. These chapters remind us how courage and faith can overcome big challenges. Revelation 5 describes a vision where John sees God holding a scroll that no one can open. Then, a Lamb (representing Jesus) who appears as if it had been sacrificed, is able to open the scroll. This shows that Jesus is the only one worthy to reveal God's plans. The chapter highlights Jesus' special role and the respect and honor he receives from everyone in heaven. Day 347 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. In Esther chapters 6 to 8, King Ahasuerus discovers that Mordecai, Esther's cousin, had once saved his life but was never rewarded. The king honors Mordecai, which makes Haman, the king's advisor who dislikes Mordecai, very upset. Esther bravely reveals to the king that she is Jewish and that Haman has planned to kill all the Jews, including her and Mordecai. The king gets angry at Haman and has him punished. Then, Esther and Mordecai are allowed to write a new decree to protect the Jews. This story shows how bravery and faith can lead to justice and protection. In Revelation, chapter 4, John, the writer, describes a vision of heaven. He sees God's throne, surrounded by amazing sights and creatures that represent the greatness and holiness of God. There are 24 elders and four living beings that constantly praise God, saying, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty." This chapter shows the majesty and power of God and sets the stage for the events that will unfold in the rest of Revelation. Day 346 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE. In Esther chapters 2-5, a Jewish girl named Esther becomes the queen of Persia. Her cousin Mordecai discovers a plot to kill the king and tells Esther, who warns the king and saves his life. Later, a man named Haman, who dislikes Mordecai, plans to kill all the Jews in the kingdom. Esther bravely decides to help her people, even though approaching the king without being called could risk her life. She invites the king and Haman to a special banquet, setting the stage to reveal Haman's evil plan. In Revelation 3:7-22, Jesus sends messages to two churches. To the church in Philadelphia, He praises their faith and promises to keep them safe and give them a special place in heaven. To the church in Laodicea, He warns them because they are lukewarm in their faith, neither hot nor cold. Jesus advises them to be earnest and invites them to be closer to Him, promising that those who overcome will sit with Him on His throne.
