Tad Overbaugh is one of Boston's finest songwriters — criminally under the radar, but not for much longer. Tad crafts a sound that's been beautifully described as "alt-country music viewed from Boston," a gritty, lived-in blend of roots rock, Americana, and dive-bar pop that draws comparisons to The Replacements, Drive-By Truckers, and Steve Earle. It was fellow Boston-based songwriter Tom Baker — a man whose taste we've long admired — who essentially grabbed us by the collar and told us just how good this guy is. And Tad's new record is all the proof you need. Music Clips by The Charms, The Dogmatics, The Zulus, Black Helicopter, and Tad Overbaugh Produced and Hosted by Steev Riccardo

Harold Bronson is a true pioneer of the American independent record scene. As co-founder of Rhino Records, he helped build the label into America’s leading reissue powerhouse, preserving decades of rock history through beloved compilations like Nuggets. Earlier, while attending UCLA, Bronson was a music writer and a founding member of the early ’70s L.A. band Mogan David & His Winos. His memoir, "Time Has Come Today" captures that journey through unforgettable stories of early L.A. and legendary artists—many of which he shares with us on the show. Excellent show, Steev! I learned a lot about some bands I'd never heard of - you have me looking up these albums to check out myself. You're a great storyteller - you had me intrigued and laughing! right on. :)
The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, in my opinion, is some kind of weird, elitist club that most likely accepts monetary "donations" or decides who's in and who's out for some popularity contest or politics. it seems that way, because they're so random. no one i know gives it any credence anymore... and I love Radiohead a lot, one of my favorite bands, (Haha!), but I totally agree with you that they shouldn't be included..yet..I do believe the classic rockers should go first, of course! I'm with you about Deep Purple, Steev! but screw TRnRHoF - who cares what they think?
your experiences and encounters and stories are remarkable and it's really cool to hear you describe it all - in your spirited, light-hearted voice!
you got to hang with Maya Rudolf?!! you got the life, man, i'm truly happy you followed your dreams!
