Dr. Mauricio Lopes is the former president of EMBRAPA, the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation. Mauricio talks about the transformation of the Brazilian agricultural sector over the last decades, what role EMBRAPA played in it and why sustainable intensification is the key to a resilient future of food.

Gabriela Guimaraes-Nobre is a PhD student at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam where she works on crop failure early warning systems.
