Description

Documenting my journey, or as I so poetically refer to as the ‘trail’, through conversations with people I find genuinely fascinating.

Yes, I was making fun of myself with the whole poetically thing.

Anyway, be warned, lots of average chat about Golf, SaaS/Tech, Recruitment, Personal Development, Business, Travel and Adventure.

I have 1 rule: I only speak with people I have a genuine interest in.

I love unearthing people's growth journeys and hope you will too.

Oh and free Golf will be given…

Lots of fascinating points of discussion this week as we delve deep into the HBO Tiger doc, the hideous dropping of Justin Thomas from sponsor, Ralph Lauren and the all important question of: How elite is Kevin Na? All that as well as this weeks fantasy picks for The Amex. Can Mitchell carry on his early season form after a 2nd place finish last week? Please review if you got any value, it would mean the world. Thank you, Nation.
Jordan, founder of Fine Golf Collective stops by! Jordan discusses his inspiration behind stocking some of the most on trend Golf brands in the industry to help us Brits stop getting stung with import taxes! Jordan was also kind enough to give £50 to a listener to spend. Wow, we are giving away so much cool stuff presently. If you do get any value, please remember to share, review and subscribe!
What can I say? It was both an honour and a pleasure to interview Frode, CEO of Lofoten Links. My words will not do this place justice, so tune in and listen about perhaps the most magical course in existence and learn how you and 3 friends can join me on a trip there next year. Free Round. Free Accommodation. That's right - get on it!
It's the big one this week!
My new friend Joser, winner of the Pasatiempo contest, joins with friends of the show in Johnny and Jimmy to talk about their 'pilgrimage to Pasatiempo'. A truly soulful and all encompassing trip in the midst of what has been some of the most difficult times these gents have had to endure. This is why we do this podcast. Giving is living. Enjoy, folks.
The PGA tour returned to our screens last week and it was absolutely beautiful to watch. Sooooo mnay talking points from Berger's win to Bryson's consumption of burgers, Rose's return to form, Spieth's flashes of brilliance and yet another impressive display for both Moirkowa and Schauffele! As ever, we give our tips and picks for this week's RBC Heritage at Harbour town which sees 16 of the world's top 20 as well as some first class veterans. Enjoy!
PROFESSIONAL GOLF IS BACK YO! We give our insights as to who we think the smart fantasy picks are for the first week back on tour! Enjoy, Nation! Oh and please share and subscribe!
Mickey is back for an episode and we had so much fun. Always a good time chopping it up with a good friend who co-founded this pod! Long descriptions seem to be a no no, so just know you're going to laugh. Alright, enjoy. Love you all. Oh, and subscribe/review :)
Sam comes armed with 27 questions to try and nullify Mitch's efforts to beat Sam's impressive score of 21 last week! We also discuss the outrage that occurred after Vijay Singh elected to enter a Korn Ferry Tour event! This was so much fun. Hope you all enjoy, nation!
Wow. We are so privileged to be able to give you and 3 friends a free 4 ball at the famous and majestic Pasatiempo Golf Club. Ken Woods joins us to talk all things Pasatiempo and my word is it good! Wikipedia could not put this better: 'Pasatiempo Golf Club is an 18-hole golf club on the West Coast of the United States, located in Pasatiempo, Santa Cruz County, California. Designed by the famous English architect Alister MacKenzie, the course is famed for its breathtaking scenery and rich golf history.' We talk all things Pasatiempo and delve into Ken's career, his round with Nick Faldo, junior Golf among so much more! A truly educational and inspiring podcast that tells the story of a truly historic and defining Golf Course. I hope you all enjoy, Nation, and if you got any value at all, please review, share or subscribe!
Thank you for stopping by, Seb. What struck me most about Seb was his unwavering passion and honesty and they are 2 values I treasure so much. He talks at length about his journey in the games of Golf and Football and how the pursuit of his passions has led to a very fulfilling career being involved in the day to day of the finest sports to ever be invented! We go right from Seb's Golf origin story to how his partnerships have garnered so much opportunity and good times. Seb was so right to point out that it's not always as easy as it may seem and stresses the importance of hard work when pursuing your passions and consistently drives home just how grateful he is to lead the life he does. Among some football, e-sports and golf chat, this made for a very informative podcast full of knowledge bombs. If you did get any value, nation, please subscribe, review and share!
Always a pleasure to chop it up with Sam! This week on Tour Talk, we discuss the latest amendments to the PGA Tour schedule and the impact that could have on the Ryder Cup teams. We also discuss who we might think will contend at this year's majors, with some very interesting venues and layouts to be considered. The last time the US Open was played at Winged Foot, the winning score was +5! Please, if you got any value at all, please review, share and subscribe! Thank you, Nation!
Wow. Thank you, Paul Tesori and welcome to the JJ Nation. The PGA Tour Caddy veteran joins us for 80 minutes of Golfing gold. From his introduction to the game, life on the bag for Vijay Singh, Sean O'Hair and now Webb Simpson, major championship stories, Presidents Cup Stories, Tiger stories, the conversation is just bursting at the seams with inside information, education and inspiration. The life on the bag for a major winner and player ranked 9th in the world is fascinating! Once again, I am so in awe of the connection between the PGA Tour and charity. The Paul Tesori family foundation has been in existence for 11 years now and aims to improve the lives and opportunities for those born with special needs. If you got any value at all, please subscribe, like, share, review blah blah you all get it by now, nation! Check out Paul's foundation below: http://tesorifamilyfoundation.org/about/
Tour Talk is so fun to do. Yes, there's not much tour to talk of lately but we've had a blast taking a trip down memory lane. Additionally, we've had the chance to explore the amazing variety of courses on the Forelinx roster. This week, we focused on the beautiful state of Arizona, where Sam gives his hot takes on some stand out Golf facilities to help ensure listeners know where to head! Among some shit talk, 2019 Tour recap and Arizona Golf, we had a blast on this informative and easy to listen to episode! Please, Nation, if you got any value at all, you know what to do!
3 time PGA Tour winner, Scott Stallings, joins us on what was one of the most enjoyable and informative hour long conversations I've ever had. What an episode! We start with Scott's introduction to the game before progressing onto his burst onto the PGA Tour with a rookie season win at The 2011 Greenbrier Classic. We discuss his successes on tour and some reasons for that before delving into his struggles with his health and the fine balancing act between starting a young family and remaining competitive on tour. The conversation then moves into how Scott overcame those struggles with a new perspective on health and well being and he shares some great stories around his close friend and 'world's fittest man' Rich Froning.  Sprinkled with Tiger stories, a discussion on how to develop yourself mentally and some quickfire questions towards the end, this episode is simply bursting at the seams with value from both an educational and entertainment standpoint. Scott could not have been a more passionate, forthcoming, generous and inspiring guest. Welcome to the Nation, Scott and thank you! If you guys enjoyed this, please review, share, subscribe blah blah
Grip It & Sip It is the new Golf quiz series brought to you by Just Jaks Golf! The concept being take a pen, pick your poison and relax with some fun and stimulating Golf related trivia. This is the pilot version so only 10 questions long - all answers delivered after all the questions have been read out. We sincerely hope this is another sign of us trying to continually deliver more value. Please please do give some feedback on this, we just want to get better and improve our product. Thank you, JJ Nation!
This was an insane episode. Colt Knedler, the extremely talented Golf videographer from Hawaii, takes us on a journey discussing his hole in one experiences, time working with Erik Anders Lang, his time at Fox Sports, his early Golfing career, his favourite Golf travel experiences, current work at Vice Golf and also the interesting shift in perspective having now experienced a lot of Golf through a lens. Colt is so passionate about the game and brings so much energy to the episode. Poignant sentiments are a regular occurrence and he is not short of a story or two, that is for sure! Thank you, Colt, for sharing your wild Golf experiences that have spanned from Hawaii to Iceland, Scotland and beyond. There is so much value here for listeners from both an entertainment and educational perspective. If we can learn a couple things from Colt, it's to pursue your passion at all costs and don't be afraid to evolve your perspective. Thank you so much for listening, Nation, it means the world!
Colin McCarthy joins us again to help improve your game. Now his 5th episode with us, he's becoming a bit of a hit among listeners. In this episode, we discuss all things course management and how it's perhaps the most overlooked part of your game, which is crazy. If you improve your ability to manage the course, you will see your score improve so much! Enjoy, Nation! We hope you get a tone of value.
Another varied episode to say the least! We begin with that little thing called the corona virus and the effect it is having now and will have in the future on our beautiful game. We then discuss the 2015 Masters and the emphatic way in which Jordan Spieth started his life on tour. We discuss his ups and downs to date and what the future might look like. That led us into going back and forth on what it really takes to be great and talk about how great he can be. We then end the episode with some fun questions, 1 Masters or winning the other 3 with no green jacket? etc... Once again, we sincerely hope you're enjoying it and would love any feedback! Please share, subscribe and review if you got any value at all. Much love, Nation!
Any Podcast that starts with Daft Punk is going to be good. No Tour = no events to discuss. However, we discuss the career of Dustin Johnson, the 1998 Masters where Jack Nicklaus famously had a run at 58 years old and our strong thoughts on the PGA Championship. It has potential, but needs to get better, right? Enjoy, Nation. Another episode down and loving every step of the journey.
