Hey Sox fans! We're living in a Bears dominated world but we try to scratch out a little White Sox chatter in the middle of January. Sox pick up Jarred Kelenic and Sean Nowcomb but things have been very quite for the Sox since the Murakami deal. Why not be more aggressive? There are some names out there that could fit in with where the Sox are heading but do you want to see a reunion with Moncada or Giolito? SoxFest is coming up in a few weeks? What questions do you have for upper management? Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Hey Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back and what an exciting time to be a Sox fan. Japanese slugger, Munetaka Murakami signs with the White Sox and the Sox land the first pick in the 2026 amateur draft. Nothing short of Christmas miracles. What other moves could the Sox make and are the Sox really ready to finally move on from Luis Robert Jr.? Enjoy the conversation and thank you for the continued support. Happy Holidays. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Welcome to the start of the 8th season of Good Guys Talk Back. Winter Meetings are on deck. Will Luis Robert Jr. make it through the off-season? How much influence does Ishbida have these days? Reclamation projects are the probable path once again but is there a splash to be made? We look at the anniversary of the Chris Sale and torture ourselves over what could have been. Also, the Sox look to land the number one pick in next year's MLB draft. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! We're back and so are you... for that we are very thankful. Sox hire a pair of coaches and say goodbye to another. The LRJ option has been picked so will he be dealt in December? Hey Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. The Sox finished 162 in a strong way. They made it to 60 wins but lost 100 games for the third year in a row. Despite the overall finish, the Sox provided us with a lot to look forward to in 2026. Bolstering the bullpen will be a focus and hopefully money will be spent on some additional offense. We thank all of you so very much for being with us for our 7th season. We are going to take the month of October off and come back strong in November. Until next time, Go Sox. #WhiteSox

Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. Our Chicago White Sox wrapped up their home games for 2025 with a loss against the Padres. Sox have not had much to get excited about over the last two weeks. The Yankees and Nationals are left on the schedule. Can the Sox avoid 100 losses? It sounds like the Sox broadcast team will be back in 2026. How has your fan experience been this season and what changes would you like to see next year? Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox! #WhiteSox

Hey Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. Our Chicago White Sox are playing very good baseball and have got us saying, 'Hey, These Kids Can Play.' Can the Sox avoid 100 losses? Can they make a twenty game win improvement from last season? Does that put Chris Getz in the executive of the year conversation or Will Venable in manager of the year talk? Colson Montgomery continues to be amazing and Lenyn Sosa is an offensive machine. We gush over the four game sweep in Minnesota and make a case for meaningful baseball next September. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Our Chicago White Sox took a series against the Twins after falling in Atlanta. The Sox honored Ken Griffey Jr.'s short lived South Sox career with a bobblehead and the young kids continue to play well. Colson Montgomery continues to not only hit home runs but he is hitting absolutely bombs. He hit his first grand slam this past Saturday and followed up on Sunday with a long gone blast. We take a look at what the lineup could look like in 2026 and get ready for next year's schedule. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox! #WhiteSox
Hey Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. Pat Hester was on assignment so friend of the podcast, Drew Bogs, joined the conversation. Why can't the White Sox beat the Kansas City Royals? The finale to the KC series was absolutely maddening. A wonderful Davis Martin start ruined. While the Sox were embarrassed in KC, the Savana Bananas took over Rate Field on the South Side. Banana Ball was alive and well with help from some 2005 Sox legends. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. Our Chicago White Sox had a rough week but lost in a way that seems to continually happen: Poor production with runners in scoring position. We examine the why and how but ultimately want answers. Colson Montgomery continues to mash the baseball and the torpedo bat gets some love. Ozzie Guillen and Bill Veeck got a bobblehead and should we rethink Chris Getz. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. Pat Hester was on assignment this past week and friend of the podcast, Eric Carlson, stepped in to talk all things White Sox and show off his Gene Honda impression. Sox were playing some very good baseball and punched the Cubs in the mouth to start off the three game series but simply could not finish things off on the South Side. The maddening case of Lenyn Sosa... Time to say goodbye to Luis Robert, Jr... The kids can play Part 2... Dick Allen is in the Hall of Fame. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox

Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. How about those Chicago White Sox? It was a three game sweep in Pittsburgh and the Sox are flying high. Big performances from Luis Robert Jr., Tauchman, Sosa, Cannon and Civale. Lots of offense and a nice way to come out of the all star break. Sox take on Tampa before hosting their crosstown rivals. Can the White Sox spoil things for the Cubs on the South Side? Thank you for your continued support. Go Sox! #WhiteSox

Ep. 315 - 2005 Happened

2025-07-1401:09:11

Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. The Sox limp to the All Star break five games better than they were last year. Does it feel better? Are you enjoying the product better? As the White Sox honor their 125 year history, they also are paying tribute to the 2005 World Series championship team and this past weekend was the '05 reunion. Mark Buehrle got his statue, the gang got back together and a one of a kind bobblehead was handed out to end the weekend. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Welcome back to Good Guys Talk Back. The Sox were swept by the Dodgers and then took two of three from the Rockies. The long awaited debut of Colson Montgomery has finally happened. But, the big news in White Sox world was the unfortunate passing of 2005 World Series champion, Bobby Jenks. Bobby, 44, passed away after a battle with stomach cancer. He will be sorely missed and remembered with gusto for his time with the White Sox. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Hey Sox fans! We're back.. well, at least one of us has returned. Nick runs a solo show after the White Sox get a series win against the Giants on Luis Aparicio bobblehead day. Jonathon Cannon returns, Luis Robert, Jr. heads to the IL, an untouchable core is emerging and a few pieces appear to be deadline bait. The Sox honored one of their best with a bobblehead and an episode from the documentary on the 2005 team finally drops. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
Sox fans! Welcome back. Our Chicago White Sox were swept by the Rangers after losing two of three in Houston. Winnable games but the fact remains that the Sox are far from competitive. Andrew Vaughn has been traded to Milwaukee and now Luis Robert Jr. is the last man standing from the 2021 AL Central Championship team. The Sox honored the Pope with a Mass, Grant Taylor has been brought up and Tim Elko has been sent back down. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox. #WhiteSox
